Does Dayak has anything to fear about Umno Baru-Pas dialogue?

It is a “one race” talk first and “Islam” is a common goal to both UMNO BARU and PAS. The gross difference between these two parties is the struggle that they pursue. UMNO Baru is nationalist in nature and PAS is for an Islamic nation.

On another note, why is the Prime Minister talking about Malay unity and NOT Malaysian unity. As a Prime Minister he should be concerned with wider issue affecting the country. This is the perenial flip flop trade mark of Abdullah led government and how do we expect this government to manage global oil price increase, inflation and an economy that will not be able to perform.

What prompted this talk immediately after the PRU 12?

The Prime Minister become much aware of the possibilities that some BN Member of Parliament from Sabah and Sarawak could jump ship to the Opposition. In such a case, what would be Abdullah first concerned.

It would not be difficult to guess that the “MALAY” or the nationalist agenda of UMNO with “Ketuanan Melayu agenda” might just vanish from the face of Malaysia. Abdullah need to keep that intact.

Sabah and Sarawak is subjected to a second tier consideration and both State was easily bought for an extra $1 billion allocation plus the seat of SPEAKER and DEPUTY SPEAKER in Parliament. For Sarawak, the “white termite” is happy to have his first time elected son appointed as Deputy Minister in the Federal Cabinet. This will fit nicely into his plan to keep the future post of Sarawak Chief Minister in his family and the state of Sarawak and its resources as the family ATM ( Automated Teller Machine).

What it this talk all about?

We learned from the mass media it is about Malay unity and Islam. In the absence of detail, we will leave it as it is but we have a follow up question.

Is there anything wrong with “one race talk” when UMNO approach to politic has always been known to be “racist” and Sarawak and Sabah natives are only for window dressing?

Can such talk happen between Dayak leaders in Sarawak?

Supplementary question: Is it accpetable for opposition and government to hold private talk or if needed be: party to party talk?

In Sarawak the Dayak based BN party see it as grossly wrong to be seen even to talk in open public place with a member from the opposition. They fear that they will be reported to their political boss and will be black marked! The “fear factor” is prevalent and real to those with self interest to protect.

One can only wonder what will the “black mark” bring? Maybe this act of talking to a friend in the opposition will be reported to the “white termite” thereby losing an opportunity to be given more Sarawak riches or government contract. For the government servant the implication is being branded an opposition supporter that maybe translated to cold storage in their career in the civil service.

Can Dayak talk about Dayak Unity?

Then how do you think Dayak can pursue a common goal (unity) when the BN members have nothing “gentlemen” about their politic other than to secure their personal interest and to be politically correct at all time.
The net result is, the Dayak become a community of people who lost their spine to be able to stand up for their cause. It is pitiful but sadly true. The Dayak is where they are because their elected representative have no “spine” to keep them standing.

Maybe we have to elect a more able bodied Dayak in future.

Moving Forward

The Dayak should not let situation dictate their Dayak Agenda. The Dayak must internalize the new meaning of their political challenges in order to make a brave move by changing the internal reference for themselves.

The Dayak as the majority race in Sarawak must not allow minority to rule them for now it has been on going for the last approximately 35 years. It is time enough and we have enough evidence to state the “truth”. The Dayak as a whole has made progress but their progress is not as rapid as other races. The contributing factors to the more rapid advancement of other races is their hold on to political power, their ability to seize opportunities with the guidance and support of the political power and the political leaders of other races are more committed and focus on helping their community.

The Dayak “kepayang” for example is clannish and ego-centric. His vision of Dayak progress seemed to centre around Dayak with blind loyalty to the government and not to question anything that the government has planned for the Dayak. That the Dayak must depend on the government for their progress and it must be blessed by the “Kepayang” man. Nothing else is allowed by the “Kepayang” approach.

In order to progress the Dayak must make a stance on every issue that affect the Dayak community. The Dayak must come up with their solution and effort to progress themselves. Dayak success DO NOT lies with the government!. It should be the Dayak own will power, consistency in their pursuance of goal and a goal that is achievable based on their capability and capacity.

Dayak elected leaders should be treated with respect but they must always be challenged to deliver their best. Then the Dayak should have the wisdom to elect Dayak individual with capabilities and commitment.

Conclusion

The Dayak should not fear such UMNO BARU and PAS talk, we can emulate their act.

The PRS +SPDP+SNAP+ yet to be registered MDC should talk about Dayak unity and the leaders should focus on working together to strengthen the Dayak politically in Sarawak. We will leave the PESAKA team in PBB to their own device first because it is a bumiputera based party.

The same goes to SUPP, it is a Chinese based party and Francis Hardin and gang should evaluate their position and see whether joining the Dayak based party coalition would be an option as that would enhance the Dayak political position.

Note: The election commission is so clever as to demarcate the “Betong Constituency” from a Dayak majority to Malay majority. This can only happen with the consent of the incumbent elected representative of the area as no objection has been raised.

Transcending from the heart land of Dayak resistance to “White Rajah” rule to submission to the “White Termite” colony of Sarawak.

All non-Melayu must come together and form an alliance so that UMNO-PAS would eventually be the opposition. In an scenario if PKR can form the govenment with the help of non-Melayu this will only invite UMNO to join force with PAS to continue giving life to Ketuanan Melayu.

I am sure in such event the Ketuanan Melayu supporter would not mind to kick out Sarawak and Sabah from Malaysia so that they could stay in power. Lets make this the dream of Republic of Sarawak & Sabah.

The recent attempt by white termite to merge PBB with SPDP and PRS is also seen as a prudent act to mitigate PKR intrusion in Sarawak. ‘He’ has a good forecaster to predict the consequences of the new Dayak Agenda which may used PKR as a stepping stone to ‘burn’ his golden throne.

This White Termite knew he can control the Dayak through this two ‘ship’; by tying them behind his ship and dragged them along, follow his path, his way and his will… how smart!!!

Mawan and Masing must have knew also about this; only if they have good secretary/informer lineup.. but sad to say that normally the lineup would comprise of a bunch of VSOP (very stupid old people)..

    Sarawak!! Its time to leave….

If Sarawak splitted from Malaysia, I would believe the Malanau (with the support of Malay and Kedayan) would gain more opportunities compare to Dayak. Dont believe? Well just see how Melanau managing the state compare to Dayak people.
