Masing only Make Noise – Dayakbaru

“Masing, who earlier attended the State BN supreme council meeting here, was asked by reporters the impact of blogs on the Batang Ai by-election.

Though the blogs might not side BN, he said he was not all against criticisms made by the bloggers against BN. He said some of the criticisms allowed BN to see its faults and shortcomings.

“Bloggers who are against BN are like mirror. You do not ignore the image you see in the mirror. If there is a pimple, cure it. If there is something wrong, erase it. Do not break the mirror if you do not like what you see. You’ve got to be positive,” he said.

He nonetheless expressed his disappointment with criticisms, which tend to be vindictive rather than contributing towards the development of the community.

Some bloggers, he added, must also ‘walk the talk’ rather than just making criticisms.”

Masing – why make so much Noise

Bloggers are people with good intention and real purpose. Remember they write their thoughts and argued their case. Blogger read statement and press relaese by Ministers for ages already but blogger never complain about what is being said by the Ministers.

Now the bloggers blessed with new technology and the blogger after having acquire sufficient skill in using the cyber tool is expressing themselves. They wanted to be heard and they wanted their opinion to be evaluated and commented upon. They never got mad with the comments of viewers. It is part of creating a thinking society.

Are the Minsiter scared of a thinking society

Why should the Ministers be afraid of the bloggers if they have done their work well and being honest with the people. Why do the Minister blaming bloggers for disunity when they do not have executive power to implement program to unite the people. The blogger do not make laws and policies or even have control over anything that is government responsibility. It is the government responsibility to ensure the progress of Sarawak and improve the life of the people in Sarawak.

Is the blogger loud Masing?

I believed the blogger is loud because the government can feel the heat from the comment to bloggers articles. The government should take the opportunity to correct themselves rather than trying to be little them and label them as pro – this and pro-that.

When a blogger see the the BN government fail to deliver on their promise, they will suggest that the people should vote for the next alternative. If BN do not like that idea of blogger suggesting Pakatan Rayaat as an alternative then BN should focus on developing Sarawak and not be involved in corruption, power abuse, self interset in business and bulding a dynasty.

Convincing the people

Ministers are selected from those people that the people elect in the election. More often then not, this selection is not based on the ability of the person to perform in the job but the political value that the person bring. That make Cabinet Minister as an institution that is not made of good effective people but people who are good in political trading and survival.

Dr. James do not ever think for a second that the cabinet Minister are people with intelligent much higher above Dayakbaru followers. You are there because they voted for you – not by your superior knowledge and capability.

So you better pay attention and listen to what the people say.

What are the people saying

WE DO NOT WANT BN ANYMORE. Is that a clear message to you and Jabu and Mawan. I think – yes it is clear. But what are you going to do about it. Are you going to run us down, arrest us, shut our blog and threaten us with bodily harm? Are you going to say that we blogger would be isolated from society and blacklisted as anti-development.

DR James – you blog

Why don’t you start a blog. If you want – i can finance and commission one for you. This is an offer from a blogger who have your interset at heart as a Dayak leader. You have never invited any of us dayakbaru to discuss issues with you. Why are you running away from intelligent and educated mind. If you engage us into your discussion you may find value in our thinking and approach towards a problem.

Don’t break the mirror

If you ever thought of breaking the bloggers – the government try to break the blogger we will find alternatives and fight you harder. This world is fill with possibilities on how we communicate ideas and image. We are not on the street yet – you better be thankful for that.

Conclusion

We have no wish to show you any disrespect from our article, comment and arguement unless you ask for it. Dr James – just do your job and be honest. We bloggers are watching you and we also represent the view of ordinary people even though we are not elected.

I cannot tell you to SHUP UP and so please do not tell us to SHUT UP. The process of dialogue must continue and this Dayakbaru blog is as good as any for our discussion platform.

Why don’t you put one or two of your official PRS people to discuss with us here – that will keep you focus on delivering progress to the people and at the same time get new input and ideas.

Do not be afeaid of YAB the Chief Minister. You have nothing to lose. Fight for the people OK James – instead of creating so much noise about bloggers.

JJM is in the state of dilemma, with his intelligent I’m sure he is aware of the bloggers constructive comments can bring him good but does his boss listen to him???? as he have different agenda.
So to please his boss he have to shout at us…his own people.

I can agree with his comment Dr John.

Personally I think he is between reason and sentiment, between ratonality and loyalty (if there’s such a thing). At least he admitted we are acting like mirrors; a big plus to Dr James.

And Dr James would sooner admit that the cyberworld has been the new media of new group of politicians in the Peninsula. Maybe he’ll has his own blog. But don’t do it when you are in Dr Khir’s, Dr Mahathir’s or Tengku Razaliegh’s position (ie MSM stops writing about them). Do it now, Dr James.

Beside, cyber-world is dominated by the younger generation. Don’t make the mistake of “I have no time to sit in front of the computer” syndrome – and you know whom I refer to. If you ignore the youths, you are not reaching out to them. The youhts will dominate the voting popn soon.

By his own addmission, at least we now know that the comments and criticisms that the bloggers have made all this while had some positive impact on Dr. James and, hopefully some of his other Dayak cabinet colleagues, too. He likened the criticisms to a mirror which gives a reflection of his faults and shortcomings. That does sound like a “reformed” Dr. James, thank God! How I wish DCM Jabu would “repent” and think along the same line as Dr. James. Anang selalu semina nemu nganu bansa diri empu aja Datuk Petinggi, tang tulong mutar ka penusah enggau pemedis ti nuntong bansa nuan empu.Enti ukai nuan sapa agi? Enti ukai diatu kemaya agi? Badu agi engkadah mua Taib nya baka ke engkadah bulan.

Dear fellow Dayakbaru.com readers, I think this is a fair article written by DR. John. And, I am also glad to read that the team in Dayakbaru.com have initiate the move to meet the BN leaders when he mentioned “You have never invited any of us dayakbaru to discuss issues with you.”

This is a new opening that we should look into. Working together and achieving our common objective – for a better Dayak community.
