Help us if you can see the future. Don’t let good ideas just evaporated into hot air. Let’s work together to bring change. You and I, and the rest of readers and commentators here maybe can see it, but not all folks in rural fabric can see from the same ‘lenses’ in view of different exposure.

Both of us maybe working far away from our rumah panjai, but the noble call is just help to narrate and articulate the message of change relentlessly. We had to find ways to help them see the positive posibilities. Help them to remove or diminish what they saw as threatening, without in any way changing the truth of the information. This meant encouraging them to look for positive implications.

PR as alternative front only effective in outlining alternative solutions after PR kill the much virulent ‘false hope syndrome’ and ‘piece-meal goodies’ mentality being planted in rural folks for ages. However, we have to do it in a subtle manner, else too many ‘shocks’ will scare people away. Sometimes patience paid for those who endure to wait for the fruits of the struggle although the way to achieve them full of ups and downs.

For that call to be materialised, your help and all other intellectuals also very much needed. Dayakbaru CAN do it, but with you and the rest willing to volunteer as a team it will be stronger and we trust we can move to higher trajectory.

What I observed from this blog there is NO change in our political approach. We still use the same tactics: sabotage our own people: sow hatred, condemn, blackmail and all that can befall our own civilization.

Why cant we adopt the western style of politics: giving alternative solutions, show our capable leaders line up, come up with master plan (short & long term) but not the copy and paste manifestoes that you cannot deliver in every election, gather our human resources for each ministry if we form the goverment, and the most important thing is to tell where and how we access or acquire that resources.

Munyi ka Futurist, please do something for our Iban community to change their mindset for our own betterment.

Our people need someone like you to upgrade THE STANDARD of LIVING for Iban community. It been a while other people were LOOKING DOWN and MARGINALISED us.

This election is VITAL to proof that IBAN had enough.

Let us be together and STOP the depression towards our community. This is our fisrt step towards THE INDEPENDENCE OF IBAN PEOPLE.

At this moment, I am not blindly supporting any political party. I dont want to make myself attach to any party so that I can always write fair comment whenever necessary. And anybody can make his/her judgement whether to agree or not agree with what I wrote here.

If I support party (A), what I need to write here is just to talk bad about my opponents and praise my fellow colleagues or team members, simple isn’t it? I dont think it’s worth, if I feel the confinement to my thinking. Well, it depends on what we want, different people having different ideology.

I prefer to have a peace of mind when writing, and if possible refrain myself from being emotional. However, sometime it helps our brains work more responsively and effectively when someone challenge our ideas.

In fact, I like healthy debate if it leads into good discussion, sharing ideas with our Iban intellectuals…setakat 2-3 kali kena anu senyum aja…and think whether it’s wise to fire back or go for compromise!

From the comments you posted in this blog I think you are one bright Iban potential leader. The only problem I see in you is that you lack integrity. You are either standing on the fence or standing and sleeping on the wrong side of the fence.

There is no point of standing on the fence and just follow others. Sooner or later you will be confused and lost in your own thought. Use your gifted talent and wisdom to help your own people. Stand up now and help and guide your people through thick and thin.

The struggles to victory is not like cooking maggie mee. (Well, that is possible to the alliance since they have the power, might and money). The people struggles will requires constant efforts and times. It could takes years. That is why it is vital to start now. That is also why education is the utmost important to the new generation. The educated younger generations will be able to think for themselves. There will be no need to hold on ceramah or talk to give information to him or to sway his views on certain things. He/she will use his/her own thought and knowledge to make decision. He/she can use web 2.0 to survive.

Our current or older generation only rely on news and information from RTM radio or TV or TV3. What do they get from there? All the good news right? Only one side of the story. Where is the other side of the story?

Give the younger generation exposure to the web world. Use the might, power and money of the BN and entice them to build IT centers everywhere in the rural areas. Soon, their power and money will work against them and everything else will work on its own. Trust me.
