The Dayak Political destiny: Of Sarawak most revered political Clown!
Written by Ibanbaru
Jittery Politicians
Of late, many of our political leaders are jittery and unease with several burning issues besieging the state, most alarming are the rampant abuse by the power that be to exploit NCL & NCR, unjust attack on bloggers, top leadership tussle for control of their parties in SUPP, PRS, SNAP !
After Batang Ai By -Election
The just concluded Batang Ai by-election only served to disquieten the state BN at least for a spur of moment. The issue of dual-President in PRS, out burst by many disgruntled Dayak intellectuals on inequality and disproportionate allocation of development fund, the rampant land grabbing by rich and ruthless ruling politicians for quick cash – are some of the many issues the government cannot simply sweep under the carpet. The latest being the impending entry of PKR into Sarawak added to the political flavor of Sarawak politics. Read more

A curious case of a Dayak antique.
Posted by: Dyaks
Pensioners are outdated – sometimes
Just another proof that some pensioners are just left far behind from reality (with their outdated, myopic and ancient thinking) when most Dayaks up and current generation now can only choose to at least catch up with other races to progress. Since ‘Pensioner’ came out with his crap now let put some equal crap shall we.
What Drive Voters in Batang Ai?
Bloggers may not have the expected influence on recent Batang Ai/BA b(u)y-election since it’s all about awareness but what if those folks are well-informed and freely appreciate their vote out of RM50/vote? What then drive the BA Chinese voters mostly vote PKR? The Chinese voters only influenced by Dayak blogs, huh? Rural and urban Chinese likewise mostly go for opposition? No, the Chinese will reject everything tooth and nail about BN and they see anything associated with SUPP arrogance means vote for PKR and support for DAP in general sense of Pakatan alliance. In fact, Chinese dailies give more opposition news coverage than Borneo Post/Eastern Times/UtusanSwk combined. Tax revenues are mostly coming from the Chinese-dominated business and it’s slap for BN if all Chinese will ever boycott not to pay taxes at all just to prove a point of significance which the Chinese happily response for. Flying Pig Flu Pandemic or Pharmaceutical Advantage?
Written by gkm2020
Flying Pig Flu?
Are globalist fear-mongers driving the media to panic the public into universal healthcare solutions? Or federally-mandated vaccinations?
By definition, a “pandemic” is an epidemic that is geographically widespread. Fear-mongers are always careful to add the innuendo that millions of people could and probably will die, as in the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918 that killed between 20 and 100 million people worldwide.
Excuse me, but how does the death of even a few hundred equate to 20 million?
Mexico, not the usual Southeast Asia, is the origin of the latest flu outbreak. It has spread in limited numbers to several continents. Almost all of the deaths, limited as they are, are in Mexico. The ratio of deaths to infections is very small. Read more

Association Should Stay Apolitical – Blogger Dr. John Brian Anthony
KUCHING: All associations should remain apolitical even though they can work closely with the government of the day to achieve their respective objectives.
Sarawak Dayak National Union (SDNU) publicity chief Dr. John Brian Anthony said as associations play useful role in the society, they should not deviate from their objectives.
“If they have no useful objectives, they should not have been registered in the first place,” he said.
However they should remain non-political otherwise their intentions and decisions will be biased and they would eventually deviate from their original objectives, he told The Borneo Post yesterday.
Brian, an active blogger in the style of dayakbaru, said the association-government link should be a two-way process and not a situation where one is dominant over the other. Read more

New Law will make Community Mapping Illegal
Posted by: Iban Abroad
Dayakbaru: I wonder what our Dayak YBs say about this law.Are they supporting the bill/law?
What do we understand / know about this law today?
A new bill to be introduced in the Dewan Undangan Negeri (DUN) today, the 31st of October, will have a devastating impact on the ability of native people to defend their Native Customary Rights (NCR). At first glance, the bill (Land Surveyors Bill 2001) appears to be a reasonable set of rules regulating the surveying profession. It creates a Land Surveyors Board to regulate the activities of land surveyors. But because of the wording of the bill, many community initiatives can be declared illegal. Read more

Rethinking 1 Malaysia Concept
Written by gkm2020
1 Malaysia can not be achieved if we still think and keep on talking about: (dengan izin)
- Bumiputra and Non-Bumiputra policy;
- One party has absolute power, immunity and superiority than the others;
- One religion above other religion;
- One community more advance and the other remain divided and rural;
- One modernized and the others digitally divided;
- One symbol is greater than the others;
- One quota beyond the others;
- One federalism and the others statesmanship;
- One have high court while others have “syariah court”;
- One have Federal Court and others belittled and/or overrule the “Native Court” powers;
- One believed in democracy and others believe in demo-crazy;
- One physical vote and others via poster vote;
- One democratically nominated and others via monarchy;
- One have more equal rights and others continuously marginalize;
- One veto and others don’t, via special and/or veto appointment;
- One regionally divided and others sub-divisionalized;
- One has more constituencies and others have vast area but remained limited;
- One has full control on Federal and State while others remain inequitable;
- One has much humanitarian allocations and others left to beg for mercy;
- One race being subsidize and others not;
- One enforce dynastic approach and others remain colonized;
- One beyond riches and others beyond rags;
- One technically smart and others illiterates;
- One think of building trust and others fired the grassroots headmen for collaborating with opposition;
- One party call and order others to listen, that’s imperialism;
- One Ketuanan Melayu and/or Dayakism; Kadazanism; Mindraf; and others remain marginalize, may cause uneasy;
1 Malaysia policy should serve all and equitably. The 1 Malaysia Government’s enforcement body (Military, Police, MACC, SPR and others) must not be bias and/or prejudice or “one sided” but to serve and honorably discharge their duties with courage, integrity and transparency, and without fear or favor. 1 Malaysia should mean “1 Malaysian”; No Chinese, Malay, Indian, Dayak, and “Bumi and/or Non-Bumi”. 1 Malaysia should not be thought of “1 Malaya” and others as Sarawakian; Sabahan; Kelantanese; Johorean; and so on but as “1 Malaysian”. 1Malaysia won’t go far if bloggers restricted
By Muller Assen – http://www.theborneopost.com/?p=50796
KUCHING: The contribution of bloggers in Sarawak to promote the 1Malaysia concept will be limited should the government continue to restrict their writings.
Blogger Dr John Brian Anthony said he could not see how they can respond positively to the call by the government to promote the (1Malaysia) concept if their contribution were curtailed.
“I fear that many of our comments would be restricted by the authorities if they think we ‘go overboard’ on the matter,” he said yesterday. Read more
