Happy 1st Birthday to Dayakbaru Weblog

I knew that a journey of a thousand miles start with one first step. The Dayakbaru weblog was born on 17th April 2008. The birth was brought about by a purchase of a maxis broadband service that has faithfully served the Dayakbaru weblog.

On the day Dayakbaru was born, a target of 100,000 ( One Hundred thousand) hits on the weblog was projected for the first year. As I write now, there are 270,000 (two hundred and seventy thousand) hits.

That represent:
One month = 22,500 hits
30 days/mth = 750 hits
12hrs/day = 62.5 hits per hour
1 minute = 1 hit

All these hits are because of the “knowledge” that Dayakbaru put in the blog and the ever growing number of Dayakbaru debaters in the Weblog. The discussion has been fulfilling and able to deliver the new Dayakbaru expectation and aspiration for the public to know.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU DAYAKBARU WEBLOG. WE WISH YOU GAYU GURU GERAI NYAMAI LALU MAJAK NGERAK NEMBIAK AMBI KE SIDA LEBIH PINTAR SERTA PANDAI.

I would like to thank all Dayakbaru followers, the ever hard working Admin person – Mr. Temenggung and all the contributors that submit their articles for the blog and articles that are selected from the blog based on their value and merit.

The knowledge shared are tremendous and substantial and it has brought many intellectual benefits to the Dayakbaru followers.

As a follow up for Dayaknaru readers – Dr. John Brian Anthony will be attempting to produce 2 products in 2009.

1) a magazine for Dayakbaru – will be launched after approval from the Ministry and is expected to be in September 2009. The magazine will be called “TINTING TINJAU” and will address serious development in Malaysia (both physical and mental development).

2) The articles in Dayakbaru and its readers feedbacks will be compiled into a book for sale. If we can identify the publisher, we should be able to launch the book by December 2009.

All proceeds from the sales of Dayakbaru books will be donated to an EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION to be set up to promote further research on topics related to poverty eradication in Malaysia.

    Congratulations & Happy 1st anniversary to Dayakbaru.com, it is a great achievement and a fantastic start for the “dayakbaru” this blog is like a gathering station. Thank you to Dr. John Brian the domain owner and Donny Joseph the site administrator.

    Keep up the good job, be strong, knowingly there is many obstacles you experiences until reaching this anniversary, God blessed this will be one of the vehicles for us the dayakbaru to express their thoughts, shares their knowledge & expertise to improve the younger generation ways of thinking and doing things that can elevate our standard of living.

    I do hope that our beloved YB’s & Ministers too do spend their time to read and grab some good points how to improve their participating as the Law Maker.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Fren, pls carry on the good job and pls do not give up. Even as an ARM CHAIR CRITIC I feel I just want to give up. Maybe just go to our Mini Parlimen at 3rd every morning and talk rubbish.

    Just what you wrote. I feel hapless and hopeless and useless. We know the Dayaks were cheated, being cheated and will be cheated by BN government with the help of people like Jabu.

    Meri besai terima kasih ngagai nuan Dr John laban ke kiroh ngereja pengawa ngadu sereta matak Dayakbaru – pengawa ke terang2 ulih ngemai penguntung ke bansa.

    Ba penemu kitai blog tu cukup beguna laban ditu kitai uleh besarara tauke begulai penemu. Bala tuai kitai Dayaks/Iban kelebih agi bala menteri, setakat kediatu sida semina nemu madah “bloggers” nya opposition tauke ke madah ke bala bloggers jai magang.

    Kasih amat meh bala tuai kitai ke ngembuan penemu bakanya, jauh ari hal sida iya deka mending ke utai ke disebut orang. Jauh hal sida iya ke muka blog diri empu baka tuai-tuai bansa bukai.

    Kati nama kitai bloggers ke ditu sigi jai magang deh? Kati kitai ditu sigi enggai meda bansa diri empu maju tau ke enggai meda bansa Dayak/Iban maju nyadi tuai? ENDA PATUT. NADAI JAKO NYA. Enti utai ti manah, sapa enggai meda, nya ke di giga!

    Ari nya tadi aku amat2 ngarap ke tuai ke Iban, kitai Dayak, tau nemu ngenong mimit lalu berati ke utai ke di tulis bala orang ba blog. Arap ke sida iya empu ulih macha blog – enda iboh ngasoh secretary sida iya meh. Tun Mahathir nulis sereta macha blog ba internet – kati menteri kitai bisi bakanya?

    Bah enti sida iya bisi, lapa deh sida iya enggai berandau lalu nerang, meri komen, etc. ba blog – lapa sida iya enggai ngambi Tun Mahathir ke chunto. Enda iboh madah nadai hari, nadai jam – nya semina excuse aja. Enti niat hati manah, masa sigi ulih nyadi bisi.

    Nadai utai mangat dipelalai tauke di ketakut enti/laban tuai kitai ngembuan hati ti lurus.

    Bala bloggers ke “jai-jai” tu bejako ba blog – ukai ngiga penguntung ka diri empu. Bala bloggers ke “jai-jai” tu semampai minta adu, minta padu, minta ajar bala tuai kitai Iban/dayak, sida ke pandai2 nya meh. Nadai kitai tu enggai di dinga, enggai diterima, enti utai nya manah.

    Lapa deh aram meh tuai kitai Iban/Dayak, menteri -menteri – bela berandau ba blog meh kitai, anang semina nemu ringat sereta pedis hati ngagai bala bloggers.

    That would be a very good idea. Ngambi ka ulih ngerembai ka agi penemu dayakbaru, lebih agi menua kitai ka nadai internet.
    I myself is a designer, would be very glad if given a chance to get involve in this magazine, especially from the graphic design aspect.

    Congratulations.

    Sometime important information that should reach the public for their consumption was not released in the media as it did not suit to BN government.

    So, the internet and websites are our alternative media to transmit the information, current issue and messages to the public.

    As most of the mainstream media are controlled by the BN government, we can use the internet and websites to correct and criticise the government.

    Ngarap ke ulih ngubah dewan kitai manah ke agi. Meja entap teguh agi. Kerusi, kaki iya enti ulih pantang tauke semin takut ke kena bala betikau pangan diri pama udah pansut urat rekong belaban ke penemu.

    Yang penting udah keluar dewan, semua kitai ulih bebaik, ulih segulai ngirup ngau makai. Enda sepenemu ukai reti enda ulih beserakup ngemansang ke bansa & menua.

    nyadi aku mega arap ka semoa bansa kitai dayak bela gerai nyamai gayu guru gerai nyamai nguan menoa. Nyadi ngagai semoa bala menyadi ki bisi mantai ka penemu lalu sekeda end senang ati ninga, ukai reti nya belaya, tang meh kitai bela beserekang ka penemu, neti nya salah awak ka ngemetul ka iya. Priority ba aku siko kitai semoa bela beserakup penemu, begempong begulai sejalai, kelebih agi baka sida di karap ka pengari kitai YB’s bansa dayak awak ka sida oleh bekerja enggau bebendar ngemansang ka bansa enggau menoa kitai di sarawak.
    Sekali agi meri selamat hari pengada ngagai dayakbaru……

    Initally dayakbaru was anti Yangdikashi, later anti-establishment and worst now DB is known and proven to be anti-Christ.Being sponsored by PAS DB allowed PAS representative Arah to actively
    propagate Islamic Teaching among DB followers.

    I do not believe the Dayaks of the 21st centuary will “buy” DB concept of promoting its agenda of Islamic Civilization through arah & PAS.

    I thought that I have seen similar comment from you under other topics.Even if you are not in tandem with other DB followers I think you should have put aside that pessimistic comment to yourself.By the responses and well-wishers for DB Anniversary it is obvious that you are being outnumbered.
    May be you do not realise that you are not welcomed.
    Anyway let the distractors not take too much of DB’s attention,I must wish DJB all the best in all undertakings and MAJU DAYAK BARU.
