1 Malaysia concept is sound good but a lot of question than answer for the Dayak in Malaysia, especially during the Dayak is in nervous present situation at the moment.
Dayak are being divided and rule by one single family
For many years start from Tun Rahman Yacub in early 60s till now. The present leader is tended to install Dynasty System. Now sign of genuine power sharing or handover to qualify person is planned. No sound of advice from KL to correct this, instead a sound of strong support from KL is always announced.
Dayak voters are being trapped and their democratic votes have been snatched
by Politic of Development charted by State BN with full of promise but never delivered accordingly. BN promise to deliver 80 Millions of Ringgit to Batang Ai by election is one of the example from thousands of promises that has been aired.
Base on ratio per capita, Dayak are backward
instead of move forward in all field, except self job seeker in oversea for oil and gas industry without government help. In government servant, Petronas Employer, SSB Employer, Scholarship Holder, Higher Learning Intake, College Intake, Business Group, Middle Class Society, High Class Society, Luxurious Property Owner, Company Share, Land Owner in major town, shoplot, Bank Loan all are show the dropping statistic to Dayak Community.
No concrete plan has been table by the parliament to rectify it instead the Jabatan Perangkaan Negara make use of it department to misleading the real statistic of Dayak poorness thro increase the Dayak agriculture commodity product temporarily during the national census.
Dayak do not seem to have rights
Dayak Right has been jeopardized mainly since the last 20 years during Taib-Mohathir era. All the Dayak house thro Sarawak has been demolished and no sign of redevelop. Nendak magazine as a Dayak National News Letter has been distinguished from it operation.
Iban Folk Stories Book are Destroyed
All the Iban Novel, (Bup Ensera Iban) have been thrown away instead of keep them in safe place by Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka. Dayak format change to bansa lain-lain in order to symbolically categorize Dayak into stateless society in their mother land.

Dayak were ignored during consultation process
Dayak intellectual are not invited to discus the program to develop the NCR Land. Memorandun of Understanding (MoU) for Joint Venture (JV) regarding the NCR Land for palm oil estate are misleading.
Complainhs has been made where 15 years of the land owner never get a single cents from JV compare to MoU 60% for JV Company, 30% for Land Owner and 10% for Pelita works as a government agent to coordinate the project. No protection agreement for the land owner was written in MoU.
What development for Dayak?
Majority of Dayak are hungry of development instead of enjoying the development like their friend in Malaya. For the last 40 years especially during Taib-Mohathir era, expected more than 300 billions ringgit of Sarawak Natural resource from oil, gas, logging and many other has been taken to KL for developing our nation.
This is the largest amount of cash that has been taken out from Sarawak in Sarawak History. Worst than the colonial times. Revenue from Sarawak natural resource are always hiding from public knowledge by the government to protect the Sarawak people questioning the KL like this where the money gone. YB are prohibited to highlight it in the parliament or state legislative.
Petronas not giving enough money back to Sarawak
Some of money taken from Sarawak are invested to set up the Petronas. Thro Petronas, Malaysia established and able to build Petronas Twin Tower one of the highest Building in the world, KL Tower, Putrajaya, 2 sets of Malaya North-South High Ways, 2 sets of Penang Bridges, KLIA and Second Link Malaysia-Singpore in Johore. No question, part of thus money are Sarawak money and part of Dayak money too.
There are NO PLAN to develop Dayak
Dayak are once again nervous cos of this situation since no development are appeared or plan in balance way base on the money taken by KL every years. So far SCORE is introduced to wrap the Dayak last property, NCR Land with a big question.
The implementation of SCORE without consult Dayak intellectual, NGO and Dayak Association as well Lawyer in transparent situation is so far legislated to siding more to the investor and government.
Corruption, power abuse, nepotism are part of present BN government
and practice aggressively without control by the federal government. There is no action by the anti-corruption department to investigate pass CM and present CM and other BN leaders although there are a lot of open talk announcing these BN wrongdoing. PM present and PM in the pass are subjected to State Leader ignorant, reluctant to give advice or highlight this matter instead they keep quite and support behind.
Taib as a State BN Leader appointed himself as Chief Minister, Financial Minister and as a Planning Minister.
At one time he can plan, approved and sign the state money any time without consult anybody under his three ministries to pay the project he plan himself. The project in Sarawak always double price than Malaya and majority of the contract are given to CM crony.
For the last 40 years Sarawak joining Malaysia, Dayak are in nervous situation. Nothing much the KL effort that can make them sleeps well.
So far so nervous when recall the amount of money more than 300 billions ringgit that has been taken by KL and the wealth leave behind in Sarawak. It is so sad when recall the development implemented in Malaya compare to what Sarawak have.
It is so disappointed to recall that there are no concrete plan and personal intervene from pass PM and present PM to balancing the development amongst the Dayak with other races or balancing the development between Malaya and Sarawak in years to come.
Instead PM is just pointing finger to instruct Dayak joining 1 Malaysia to continue support their nervous government toward Sarawak in general and toward Dayak in particularly.
Not balance development
After recall all thus matter above and balancing the amount of money that has been taken to KL and invest by KL, majority of Dayak now a day and Dayak in the future are or will eager to see the development below implemented in Sarawak for the last 10 years during Taib-Mohathir era or next few years.
What the money could have done to Sarawak
Thus Sarawak money taken to KL are more than enough to built double lane road from Lundu to Tawau. To built and tar the road, provide electricity, telephone line, mobile area, TV channel to any houses 5 kilometers along the main road.
Thus money is more than enough to built technical school, hospital, bank, MARA shoplot in all district in Sarawak. Thus money is more than enough to built University or college in major town in Sarawak. Logging industry in Batang Rajang is more than enough to built double lane road from Sibu to Kapit.
The money from Wong Irup is more than enough to tar the road, to make telephone line, to make mobile area, TV channel, hospital, Jetty, Technical School, service centre at Batang Ai resettlement scheme.
Enough money to survey Dayak land
Thus money is more than enough to survey the Dayak NCR Land or to develop their land. Thus money are more than enough to built major industry in Sarawak such as fabrication Yard and shipbuilding centre.
Thus money is more than enough to make irrigation for paddy field along the costal area of Sarawak. Thus money is more than enough to sponsor Dayak student further their study in oversea. Thus money is more than enough to build more international Airport and seaport in Sarawak.
Thus money is more than enough to built more factory in Sarawak. Thus money is more than enough for Sarawak to invest in other field in other country to multiple the State incomes at the same time helping the Dayak in business to get the title millionaire corporate.
How much has BN deliver so far compared to revenue taken from Sarawak
With my simple knowledge in planning development, I dare to point out to the government the above development that the Sarawak people need in balance with what has happening in Malaya and how much money that has been taken from Sarawak by KL. From the above plan, BN government can measure themselves and know how much they can deliver so far.
There is no doubt to recall that there are some appreciable projects BN has made. UNIMAS, UiTM, Bintulu Port, Bintulu Terminal, Aluminum Factory and some factories, in other way they gain business from it..
Sarawak is waiting for it rural areas to be developed
The above developments are the real development that the Dayak waiting for or the Sarawak people hoping from Malaya. Sarawak people are deserved to get it in the last several years and KL are responsible to deliver in short future.

tink of tis..dayaks had their chances long time ago..when our 1st CM reinstated..it was the CM job to try to nullify the treat tat imposed us..imagine if he was the rite “people men”..he shud be considering far beyond anyone else during tat time to plan for the future of his race..the Dayaks..he shud be the one that guide and serve any dayaks in tis land by giving them the most sacred words that dayaks rli nd nw..”Opportunity”..it was long time ago tat dayaks had the chances to fulfill their roles in tis land bt nw we all had to co – operate in order to strengthen the values of each dayaks so tat the life of our children will be successful n time will come when “people men” CM of dayaks rule again to pursue the rights of each n every dayaks in tis Land of Hornbill..
