Is JV Oil Palm plantation BN best answer for Dayak poverty
Is promoting jv between landowners and private/foreign companies in planting oilpalms the best and only thing the government can do to help uplift the economy of the rural Dayaks!?
Where is Dayak participation in food supply business
Walk into any supermarket today and one can see that a lot of the edible things they sell are things that our rural Dayak can produce from their land, ponds and rivers. There are tinned pineapples, longans, corn, etc…juices like mango, guava, sugarcane, coconut etc,…fresh fruits like rambutan, langsat, matakucing, durian, tapioca, durian belanda, etc…freshly harvested local rice…etc, etc.
BN government DO NOT KNOW how to care for poor Sarawakian
If the BN government REALLY cares for the rural Dayaks’ economy, why after 45++ years, haven’t the government set up a single factory where these rural farmers can sell these produce to be processed, canned or bottled for sale and export.
Instead the government allow importation from elsewhere for local consumption!? Aren’t their produce good enough!?
Our Suggestion for the government to consider
Wouldn’t it be economically helpful for these rural landowners if the government implement serious foodfor export program for the Sarawakpoor to participate in!?
The government can always cease the imports of these produce and replace them with local produce from our rural folks. Thailand is a good example of success of planting fruits and flowers for export. Even Vietnam is exporting rice, fishes and fruits and their rural economy develop greatly.
The government can even consider setting up kilang for processing and packing vegetables like midin, paku, upa, daun entimun, daun ubi, terong, cangkokmanis, ensabi, salai, kasam etc,etc
Conclusion (Dayakbaru)
Big agro ventures are for BIG money people and they use the poor Dayak land for their venture. These ventures bring no benefits to the poor people of Sarawak. They only make the rich people richer and the poor people poorer.
If the BN government cannot address this productivity issues and cash in hand to spend by the rural community, then we must work to change this BN government. This government is no longer fit to lead and rule this country.

whatever we said or suggest to government for the betterment of our dayak iban community our BN leaders wont listen to to us as long as they cling to power. They knows pretty well Dayak are easily influenced and low mentality, when the election comes they throw the simple scraps, and distribue PANADOL (MRP)and wedayak are satisfied and vote them again …..
BN do not care about Dayak Economic Development! All they care is the grab onto power! They keep the people begging for more minor projects, keeping promises to deliver bigger and better projects! Bigger and better, YES! but for their Master’s CMS and Naim Cedera! Roads, bridges, all the mega projects.
And now, they are going to flood all rural Sarawak with 12 Hydroelectricity Dams! How much electricity does the 2.5 million people of Sarawak need? Certainly not the 12 Dams, less all be damned!
Another land grab by Pehin Curi Sarawak! Fellow Sarawakians, enough is enough! Sarawak needs a Revolution: Educational, Economical and Political Revolution!!!
We cannot wait any longer! Now we are in the process of being landless in our own beloved country! New legal Landowners don’t care about our plight, they have Pehin Curi Sarawak as their fortress!!
Do we all just let all these abuses go unnoticed? Wake Up n Act Now!
