Dayak need to fight for their rights

Effect of Dayak Disunity

When the political situation of Dayak is not stable; the movement of Dayak YB/Leaders are limit to Taib/Non-Dayak Leader remode control, Dayak YB/Leaders work plan is just to follow the program set up by Taib/Non-Dayak Leader and the action of Dayak YB/Leaders is subjected to Taib/Non-Dayak Leader instruction.

Dayak is dependent on others politically to decide on development

When our political leaders are being kidnap by non-Dayak; PPB Dayak Kidnap by Taib, PRS Dayak kidnap by Datuk Sng, Mawan Group Kidnap by Tiong, Edwin Dundang followers Kidnap by Datuk James Wong, then Dayak do not have a truly Dayak political party to  act without the influence of others to implement policies that are good for Dayak.

That being so,  project like SCORE, Hydro Dams, Oil Palm Plantation, Logging activities and timber industries or any mega project are not design to bring much benefit to the Dayak community.

Dayak become victim of non-Dayak people policies

I used the word kidnap because the Dayak politician in the party above are being detained as “Orang Tebusan” or hostage by their bosses to give support to the mega project such as SCORE for its implementation. Rekong sida benong digerar ketuai BN enggau Semurai Cap Kupang lalu belakang sida dichol enggau ujung Senapang Cap Wang.

Dayak did not benefit from progress designed to benefit the selected few and the rich people

The previous lesson on logging industry, Batang Ai Dam and Bintulu Industrial zone are some of the big examples of project that bring little benefit to Dayak. There are a lot of questions than answer on these projects. A lot of negative effect than positive effect to Dayak community.  But to the non Dayak these projects  provide a great economics opportunities and give them basis for a good life. Here I do not need to repeat the reason for non Dayak success as  much explaination posted by DB before this.

Are Dayaks ready for SCORE

Dayak are not ready for SCORE. Dayak are still not united in politics and purpose. Dayak are still not matured in politics therefor they are not cohesive with their needs. Dayak are still not stable in social development as their adaption to societal changes are slow.

Dayak culture are not ready to adapt the critical changes required by urban living. Dayak are not equip with proper training to be ready to take up job in SCORE. Dayak Leaders are disunited and without vision for the community. The Dayak leaders are weak and they bow to Taib’s wishes and  instruction and are not able to secure quotas and allocation from SCORE to meet Dayak’s need.

Dayak are still lagging in education and Dayak are not ready to change their way of life from agriculture to doing business in SCORE.

Aku pan enda becherita panjai pasal nama penyadi bansa Dayak enti project baka SCORE tu dipenyadika ba maia keadaan Dayak ke diatu, laban unggal Meramat enggau unggal Kunchit/munchit udah chukup nerang ka kitai.

How should the BN government help the Dayak

But this doesn’t mean that government cannot do any thing to help Dayak. There are a lot of things that the  government can do to help Dayak. For instance:  improve rural infrastructure, health facilities, basic amenities (water and electricity), provide small cottage industry/factories and distribution / collection centres etc in Dayak area.

Give Dayak more opportunities through allocation and quotas in higher education.

Give Dayak bigger quotas in government jobs or government link companies such as Petronas, TNB and other private sectors. In other words  give Dayak their right equal rights like other Malaysian. Maybe then, the Dayak can improve their lives by making changes and adaptation.

Dayak should response to Government initiatives to help them

I do not think, I need to explain in detail how the Dayak can improve their life if these assistance are given by the government. But I have one question here, why is it that the government do not do these type of assistances for the Dayak people but instead the government jump to contraversial project like SCORE?

I think every one know the reason and has their their own answer.

My own anwer is/are because the Non-Dayak Leaders know that this is the perfect time to outplay the Dayak on their land rights and get cheap land to increase  their Investment and Business expansion. Then these rich investors stand to gain millions if not billions of ringgit for their profit to ensure the financial stability of their family for the future. This scenario is awful to Dayak and so brilliant  for Non-Dayak.

What should be the Dayak response?

What Dayak should do to a situation such as this? Nothing much can be done when the YB Dayak hands are tied-up. Nothing much educated Dayak can do because Orang Rumah Panjai still vote for this BN partiesas per unggal CA post.

This sound helpless – helpless Dayak indeed until we can all stand up and be counted.

Enti bakatu, manah kitai Dayak enda ibuh kiruh ke penusah kitai Dayak, lalu majak ke pengawa diri empu, titihka aja ketuai tauka party ke oleh meri penatai pemisi ka kitai empu.

Hmmmmm…… This idea is contrast with my own philosophy. I prefer to reject this idea.  I am a person who are busy body when it comes to Dayak affair. For me my body is not so important, my Dayak people are more important.

That is why I put the name of people who I found and see are not good to Dayak directly in any of my articles. I feel that is why I should  not be afraid, while we are speaking and telling the truth of the Dayak plights.

Should we resist SCORE

We come back to the SCORE issue. Then we ask ourselves, Can a Dayak like me stop or otherwise give a positive suggestion or do something to make the best out of SCORE?

My answer is definitely Yes. I said yes to my fellow country man. Mr. Brilliant Idea maybe is laughting at me and said, who you are, what you can do for me? I am the power, I am the law, I am the government he continued.

If I resist then they may come and scare me with their Gangsterism way. It won’t make me scared but it would only encourage me to talk about the truth. The truth is for the future of my generation and the future of my beloved country.

I may lost in the fight now, I cannot stop SCORE, cannot slow it down, cannot get the best out of the project and cannot make used of my positive advice to the “brilliant idea”, but the spirit of my fighting, fight for Dayak Rights and fight for the equality of all races in Sarawak.

Fight for our Rights

My generation will continue to exercise our Dayak rights and continue to fight for the rights as provided by the Federal Constitution.

WE will acquire resources to fight for our rights that has been taken away by Mr. Brilliant Idea. We can organize ourselves to take back what belong to us but whatever means we can and stopping at nothing. On this account, I and the Dayak Baru can help.

Prepare for the future

DB has help our next generation by posting their articles in this blog such as 300 NCR cases that are still pending for 10 years in court. DB complain through this blog that Mr. Brilliant has taken our property through illegal ways while we cannot do anything.

DB posted how Mr. Brilliant Idea grab our NCR Land, snatch our democratic vote using undemocratic ways: through project pemansang and BN Instant Noodle. DB provides a resource for my generation to learn from and I as Dayak Baru is happy to share this information to my generation peers. In this context, I am a Dayak Baru eager to face the reality and fight with Mr. Brilliant Idea.

Conclusion

This is a promise made that as Dayak Baru we will fight with all our might to protect the Dayak’s right. That the reason why the Dayak need this type of blog. It is much better, if can we can organize Randau to formalize it into book of action.

Data-data bagi pengolong, pembentang, pembentuk dan pengelola projek mega yang kontravasi seperti SCORE, I do not need to elobrate it in detail as we can refer to Mr. SAW articles.

Thanks.

History tells us,tyranical rulers and governments will fall. If BN (especially the state BN), continue to govern the way it does, then its only a matter of time, for there is a “time bomb in Sarawak”(to copy Lim Kit Siang).

In order to be able to finally ensepi penyamai, bala Dayaks will have to go thru this painful, even bloody period.
