Hubungan mesra Dayak dua negara

Ketegangan yang berlaku sekarang antara Malaysia dan Indonesia berikutan kontroversi tarian pendet, yang mencetuskan sentimen anti Malaysia, tidak memudarkan hubungan mesra antara kaum Dayak di kedua-dua negara, kata Presiden Kesatuan Kebangsaan Dayak Sarawak (SDNU) Mengga Mikui pada Selasa.

Beliau berkata pertukaran dokumen rasmi berkaitan memorandum persefahaman (MOU), yang ditandatangani beberapa minggu lepas dengan rakan sejawatan mereka dari Indonesia bagi mempromosikan kerjasama dua hala, dijadual diadakan pada jamuan malam anjuran Menteri Pembangunan Sosial dan Urbanisasi Sarawak Datuk Seri William Mawan di Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat.

MOU itu dijangka menyaksikan lebih banyak kerjasama antara Majlis Adat Dayak Nasional (MADN) Kalimantan Barat dalam hubungan rakyat dengan rakyat serta program kerjasama.

Safari Warisan Kebudayaan Borneo Dayak Kuching-Pontianak

Sabtu lepas, Mengga melepaskan Safari Warisan Kebudayaan Borneo Dayak Kuching-Pontianak yang julung kali diadakan, terdiri daripada 14 pasukan dan 56 peserta, bagi meneroka warisan kebudayaan Dayak di wilayah Kalimantan Barat di Indonesia.

“Sehingga kini media Indonesia di Kalimantan Barat memberikan liputan yang baik terhadap safari itu,” katanya.

Safari empat hari itu yang meliputi perjalanan sejauh 800km menggunakan kenderaan pacuan empat roda, turut disertai Presiden Dewan Perniagaan dan Perindustrian Dayak Tan Sri Leo Moggie, yang juga Pengerusi Tenaga Nasional Berhad

    SDNU ( & SDGA) LOST IN THE DEEP JUNGLE OF BORNEO

    It is indeed sad to realise the present President & EXCO of SDNU is adopting the policy of the former the President RI, GUS DUR; made many overseas trips instead solving his domestic problems. Our present SDNU EXCO is more concerned about the dayak of Kalimantan and Sabah while his own country dayak is being humiliated by the present ruling party.

    Among the pertinent issues the SDNU president should first analysed are : 1) The long overdue completion of Rumah Dayak at Satok, 2) The diminishing support of SDNU from other dayak organisation such as DBNA, OUNA and Orang Ulu Congress and 3) Iban & Bidayuh are celebrating gawai dayak while other ethnic group of dayak are celebrating christmas.

    SGDA is also in the same track, had lost the original agenda of helping to produce more dayak graduate and entrepreneur.

    Common friends blogger here, tell them the correct direction in this DB platform.

    Why not you come over this cmg TGA in Dec 09 to take over fm the current President and his EXCO.Let see what have you got to offer.Giving comment will not make thing happens.To start with please kindly visit SDNU website.Maybe u r the material much needed by SDNU or just as useless as me only know how to talk but none other than that.Why don’t you give the new light by showing them the correct direction or you are losing yourself in the DAYAK ‘KINGDOM’.tq

    Dayaks are law abiding citizens, not extremists. We love peace, but some politicians take advantage to use dayaks as tools to achieve their political agenda.

    who said SDNU is more concerned about kalimantan just because they go there? who said sdnu and sdga ignores other dayak just because they were humiliated by the present ruling party?

    you know, BN has been known by many people in malaysia for being shameless. if BN is trying any attempt to humiliate me, i would simply ignore it because then shameless BN should be dealt with shameless attitude

    Johnny Jawa – SDNU and SDGA has many activities that is on going. Maybe you should try to get involved with their activities,

    1. Rh Dayak Satok shoplot is to be completed by end of the year.
    2. The tower block is expected to be completed 3rd quarter next year.
    3. SDNU Triennial General Assembly is Dec this year. You are most welcome to join us.

    I would appreciate that such comment as forward as it is should be be substantiated with real name as a mark of respect for one another. Be brave.
