Dayak Kalbar dan Dayak Malaysia khususnya negara bagian Sarawak benar-benar menunjukan dirinya masih serumpun dengan selalu mengadakan berbagai pertemuan seperti safari cultural heritage atau safari budaya yang dilaksanakan 21-23 September di Pontianak.
Herman Ivo, Ketua Panitia Safari Cultural Heritage mengatakan pertemuan Dayak dua negara serumpun ini sebagai upaya untuk saling menyemangati dan saling mendukung, sehingga terciptanya kemajuan yang di cita-citakan bersama.
Dr John Brain, Ketua Rombongan SDNU ketika menerima jamuan makan malam di rumah makan Betang Pontianak, mengatakan pertemuan ini sebagai upaya saling mengenal dan saling memahami dan menjajaki peluang kerjasama antar Dayak Kalbar dan Dayak Sarawak, terutama dalam bidang perekonomian dan pendidikan.
Dua Negara Berbeda, Tetap Saudara
Hal senada diungkapkan Gubernur Cornelis. Ia mengatakan pertemuan ini untuk mempererat persaudaraan Dayak Kalbar dan Dayak Sarawak Malaysia yang masih satu rumpun dan memiliki banyak kesamaan terutama dalam kebudayaan.”Meski kita sudah di bagi dalam dua negara berbeda, kita tetap saudara saya harap kita bisa mengembangkan hal positif untuk kemajuan kedua bangsa ini,” terang Cornelis.
Kalau sudah paham dan harmonis tidak terjadi lagi pergolakan di perbatasan seperti geser-geser patok perbatasan negara, ambil ‘jatah’ bangsa Indonesia.
Kita Serumpun
Dato Sri William Mawan Anak Ikom, Menteri Pembangunan Sosial dan Urbanisasi Negeri Sarawak Malaysia, mengharapkan, pertemuan supaya tidak ada lagi kesalahpahaman. “Kita juga tahu kita serumpun, dank e depan kerjasama yang baik ini supaya lebih digalakan,” terangnya.
MOU (MADN dan SDNU)
Dalam pertemuan bertajuk Safari Cultural Heritage juga akan di tandatangani Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) sebagai wujud komitmen kerjasama antar organisasi (MADN dan SDNU) yang disaksikan langsung Menteri Pembangunan Sosial dan Urbanisasi Negeri Sarawak dan Wakil Gubernur Kalbar di Kapuas Palace Hotel Pontianak.
Ketua Majelis Adat Dayak Nasional (MADN) Kalbar, Atan palil dihubungi terpisah mengatakan MoU tersebut adalah kesepakatan maksud baik untuk saling membantu, terutama masalah budaya, kesehatan, pendidikan ekonomi dan SDM, seperti pertukaran pelajar, terang Atan.
Untuk Implementasinya nanti seperti dalam bidang budaya aka nada kolaborasi kebudayaan serumpun. Selain iotu juga akan di galakan kerjasama dalam bidang pertambangan, perkebunan dan sebagainya yang saling menguntungkan kedua organisasi tersebut.

POLITICAL PREDICTION THAT IS YET TO COME.
The major events in history mentioned above have been accurately predicted in the Bible. Some were predicted as far back as 1,300 BC.
What does the Bible say of the future?
With the presence of increase in natural disasters, wars, famine and epidemics of new diseases, I believe the stage is now set for further predicted events to unfold (Matt 24:6-7, Luke 21:10-11).
The foretold events include the rebuilding of the Temple (Ezek 37:27), the emergence of a political personality labeled the Beast (Dan 7:24-25, Matt 24:24, Rev 13:1-2), who would insist that his mark be placed on people (Rev 13:11-18),
DB…what I fear most is the prophecies or prediction on the emergence of a political personality who would insist his mark be placed on people including the Dayaks.
So DB…who could this political personality be? Is DB pretty sure that they not promoting this particular political party or personality? Will DB revisits and explain to its die hard promoter/supporter of this prediction in the Bible? And also its consequences? Is DB aware that it is being used as platform to ensure the prophecies come true?
Hoping to hear a response & clarification from Blog Owner.
DL, why should you fear the emergence of that political personality if he/she fights for the dayak/iban rights which other dayak politicians failed to do since the birth of this country. Even if he happens to be a dog or what at least he is better than the current iban leaders who preying on their own people. Only a few Dayak/iban like you fear on the emergence of this particular political personality.
I really look forward to the eergence of any ‘new political personality’ that fights for the rights of my people and adhere to the 18 point agreements that was the basis for Sarawak to join Malaya to form Malaysia on 16th Sept 1963.

To win people support in front of Iban you must talk about giving them pala tanah for NCR, giving more roads, helping to build bridges to cross river,and of course not to forget to continously giving handouts.
You talk about giving support for chinese school in front of chinese as you no need to remind chinese other things like economy, business, how to stand on two feet otherwise chinese will laugh at you.
In front of Indian you promise them to give equal right for gomen jobs, indian school, indian right religious rights and so forth.
BN gomen is transparent as they tell you the truth. The only secret is they will not tell how to get rich in the gomen, because wherever you are you must work how to get rich.

Both PE and DL are putting forward their good argument on the development of dayak as whole in Swk, particularly on matter of developing NCR land. But sad to say both of you failed to see the inside story of the NCR land dweller in the Swk. Both of you only confined yourself within aircon room and broad computer for blogging. The scenario is totally different when compared to me, who is dwelling my living in my NCR land passed down from grandfather. Fortunately the Celcom broad band signal from Bkt Bangunan provided me opportunity to read this blog.
As a farmer, the life is not always easy. My saving while working for offshore oil company is diminishing, mostly already spent to develop fish pond and oil palm. Recent flood washed away all my ikan keli, while reliable workers for oil palm are scarce now.
Initially I discussed my problem with my closed friends who are aligned to opposition party, but only provided lip service. Still not too late, few months later I resorted to visit the Dept of Agriculture in my area, where I met my former classmate who is AAO. He provided me a lot of advice on the management of fish pond, oil palm and coco. A year later I received some subsidies : 20 rolls of chained iron fences for fish pond and 22 bags of fertilisers. Though these subsides and the technical advice are small value to my friend bloggers here, but to the NCR farmer is great help and thank for the good job by the govt of the day.
I realised the present govt is not as bad as the opposition perceived, they are helpful and always listened to NCR dwellers problem. While at the same time the opposition group is readily available lip service counter. NO ACTION LAH. CAKAP SAJA.
