BN – don’t bleed PETRONAS

A Pakatan Rakyat (PR) lawmaker today urged the government to stop what he called excessive “bleeding” of the national oil company Petronas’ profits which, he alleges, were being used to finance wasteful spending.
Calling Petronas the “government’s ATM”, he said the company’s profits had fallen steadily in recent years and the government was now risking the oil giant’s capacity to continue generating income for the country.
“The contribution by Petronas to the government has increased from RM19 billion in 2004 to RM43.9 billion in 2006 to an expected RM 67.8 billion in 2009,” said the DAP’s Petaling Jaya MP Tony Pua (picture).
“The resulting impact is that there is a drastic reduction in retained profits for re-investments, and re-investments are imperative as Malaysia’s oil reserves are expected to last for another 20 years or so,” he added.
From 2001 to 2006, the operational cost of the federal government was only some RM78 billion but in 2009 that increased to RM150 billion.
Operational spending includes services and supplies, debt service charges and emoluments, accounting for almost 75 per cent of the total budget for last year.
PR leaders, citing economists’ estimation of the Budget deficit to be at an alarming 9 per cent, alleged that the escalating operating costs, due to corruption, have seeded the fiscal setback.
“This has resulted in the inevitable temptation to dip into the Petronas coffers,” said Pua.
He added that capping the profit contribution to 50 per cent for future investments and ensuring that they are invested in economically productive and necessary sectors such as human capital and renewable energy can help maintain Petronas profitability.

This is gomen money, why PKR is making themselves busy? It’s up to the Gomen of how they going to spend the money. What about the money generated from Selangor, how PKR spending the money. Where is the transparency, why they don’t make it public of how the money was spent after they take over the state gomen.

This PKR is also same as DB talk cock and don’t know what they are talking about. Hei..Petronas money is gomen money and it is up to the PM of how to spend the money. It was because we have a caliber BN ministers that can path way for Petronas to invest outside the country.
Don’t you see Hassan Merican always follow the PM and his entourage whenever they are visiting another countries and this is to find a suitable place for Petronas to invest. It was the ministers who are doing the talking and Petronas just fabricate Platform and reap the profit.
So the ministers of BN and of course with the blessing of the PM can take the money away. This money they will spend to help the rakyat so that they will be elected again.
Now PKR you are talking about transparency Gomen, so can you make it public how is the state generated money is spend?

That is the only way to silence us.
Personally i begin to think how illogically this DB group mission/goal/objective/dream Change We Must, is going to success in defeating the mighty BN in the next GE 2011 if they cannot handle such a small problems tarnished by the DL group in this Blog.
Everybody know that the outside world or reality is much violence and unpredictible compare to problems rise by the DL group in this blog.
Lastly, as a Protem President Of DL group I on behalf of my group which all the pro DB and their Chief Executive a success in whatever they ventures.
I never want to listen want PKR is saying. They are like DB everything that BN is doing are all wrong. What they should do is to turn Selangor into a successful state, much more successful than the BN control states only then people will believe in them.
Petronas is Gomen company and it is up to the PM to spend their money. Afterall the money was spent on development for the public to enjoy. It was because of the BN ministers than can look for business outside the country to enable Petronas to make huge profit. So was was it wrong for the BN ministers to use the money? If the money earn is not for spending then what the money is good for?

Nobody can deny that Petronas is the ATM machine of Msia. The person is holding the user ID and password of the Petronas now is MAhatur. And off course indirectly the BN.
But it doesn’t means that the money is channeled from hand to hand without any proper documentation and transparency. The framework for proper handling of the govt fund is had been long established in the treasury instruction and every govt agency is following it strictly.
DB can have many accusation on how the Petronas fund is being spent, but nothing concrete enough to back their accusation.
The Petronas income is now being channeled to govt for the development project, such as road, school and hospital. Project expedite based on the open tender and quotation to qualified contractor for the implementation.
It is normally the BN supporter will win the contract in BN control state. But in Selangor, the PKR/PR contractors are getting it.
BN never complained in Selangor. So the message for the DB Group is why don’t you search for your makan in Selangor, Kelantan and Penang?
Swk is for BN supporter like dayaklama group.

Let me made it very clear….. Not withstanding the fact that the opposition DB has no locus standi to talk or comment on Pertronas matter which is gomem fully own & funded agency. Let it also be said from the onset that Petronas was formed in 1974 as a gas company owned 100% by the gomen. Without the visionary gomen leaders Petronas will not be what it is to day.
Since its inception the gomen spent/invested huge some of money as operating capital. So when the co. make money its only natural for its owner (BN gomen) to decide how the fund/profit are to be utilized .In short its not the business of DB and the alike to tell the gomen what to do with its investment or who many barrels of oil to be extracted per day/months. If there is someone who want to meddle with Petronas affair DL who is part & parcel of the establishment has some says (not DB).
Similarly as some members of DL earlier pointed out the Dayaks’s right over NCR has been effective extinguished by the state legislation mooted by Yangdikasihi. That being the case it’s the gomen own every inch of the land in the state including NCR (unless stated otherwise). Hence it is strictly the prerogative of the gomen of the day & Yangdikasihi to decide best how the NCR land are to be developed or distributed. For the kind information of readers, DL had formed ad hoc committee to lobby to Yangdikasihi (and the relevant agency namely the LS Office) not to conduct boundary survey or issue land title to NCR landowners.
The topic for a debate is Petronas`s profits were used for wasteful spending. If you agree and disagree then substantiate your reasons.

MJC, Petronas is government own so can spend the money any how it like. I think it is all right for the DB to comment on unwise spending so that you are aware of what the rakyat want the Gov’t to do. (Rakyat di dahulukan) what does that mean ?
A government cannot do anything they like to do if it is oppose to the rakyat because the rakyat gave them the mandate to form the gov’t. If PKR win then it will do the same of course the opposition bythen will condemn them too. Any gov’t must be answerable to any critic by the opposition/rakyat if it want to be praised/love and hailed by its citizen. Don’t just take all critism as negative and your every action is granted alright.

Lobbying YDK not to give land title/survey NCR I

DL hope there will be no more oil when PR takes over (if ever) the Federal gomen. If the oil dry up than the PR gomen can start selling all the NCR land in Sarawak.
So NCR owners before PR takes over, better you sell your NCR .
The money spent by Petronas to send an Orthopaedic Surgeon to space in a Russian Space Craft was TRULY A WASTE.

definitely your qualification is higher then me and most probably your iq is greater. i ‘ve no doubt most of DB are brilliant people and have the highest qualification on earth the minimum is general degree.PE i salute you for only one reason, your acheivement in study up to the doctorate level which i understand very few dayak acheived what more to say in Fizik.
well, i who have nothing just finished tingkatan 5, spmv gred 3 and fail my diploma course with oum in the begining of this century. but i loved to study fizik especially topic on “Force And Motion” and “Electromagnetism”(C.R.O) for a very special reason that is to create “Time Travel”.
With this time travel much we can do for example we can easily alter the history of sarawak back to 1865, 1954, 1963 or even 1986 and most of DB and DL are in the same steam boat and moving toward the common goal.

Aku enda nemu jako ekonomi, ia ke temu aku enti nuan bisi duit, kena meh duit tu meli utai, simpan ke bank, masuk saham. Anang ngelak ka duit nya mati dia aja ga enti enda dikena nadai ga jalai dagang tu bekembai, kitai mesti ngeluar duit saham, duit bank kena meli kasut, seluar, kereta, rumah enggai ka duit nya nyau tepekul jai dalam bank. Enti nyimpan aja enda dekena ukai pandai bedagang orangnya.Simpan lalu dikena, simpan lalu dikena nya ia reti ekonomi kena meransang penumbuh ekonomi ba sitak bukai. Enti simpan enda dikena nama tuju deh? Duit ke maioh nya ukai pemandang tang utai ke dibeli kitai nya ke pemandang. Sapa nemu nuan bisi duit enti nadai bisi utai dipeda orang?

This is an interesting subject but I have to admit many of the posting has gone off-tangent.
Hope this posting will provide some useful info for all to digest.
1. Petronas has become the goose that lay the golden egg for the country. The Malaysian economy would be a wreck, if not for the petro dollars.
2. To its credit – it has been considered as one of the better run national oil companies in the world.
3. Unlike those of many other OPEC countries, Malaysia does not have a ministery of oil. It means, the government’s taking of the profit from Petronas is not subjected to Parliment’s scrutiny.
4. Nationally, oil and gas reserves replacement is not that good, and some estimated 20-30 years for the reserves to deplete.
5. The international arm of Petronas is trying to offset the lost. But competing for international reserves, with the likes of China – which has used its Govt2Govt influence – all over the world with great effect, is tough for every oil and gas companies.
Given this background, I think its only responsible for MP Tony Chua to ask the government to explain the increased in its take of Petronas profit.And to challenge the misuse of the diminishing government source of revenue from petrodollars as has been amply demonstrated in the PKFZ scandal.
The oil and gas business is obviously capital extensive. And competition for energy resource has left little low hanging fruit for the picking. Even frontier place like Iran and Iraq is difficult for Petronas to get into, in spite of the muslim OIC connection. Even Sudan’s oil, has been swept by China.
If Petronas were to fail, the repercussions to the Malaysian economy will be very serious.Come to think of it, its probably a blessing in disguise. Besides the 5% royalty from total oil and gas production in Sarawak, the state economy does not get as much funding from the Federal government as can be expected, so the fall will not be too drastic.

Bala DL, Why Marina Undau only enrolled to do DIP and not the course she wished for – MEDICINE????? Enda iboh ditulong kita pan ulih meh iya naka ke ngambi couirse Diploma nya. Malu malu kita ngumbai diri bejako ke iya….
Kaban JJ, kaban ke ngumbai diri JUNE nya udah diberi tel pan enda berani tel. Nam a iya enda berani telepon tau ka takut? Bejako lebih. Enti anak lelaki tau iya ngiga aku. Aku agi nganti tu. Enti iya di Bintululu biar aku ke Bintulu ngagai iya.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm…kerabol merapon endar ga utai dalam batu ilau aku tu; semina ayas aja ke ulih peda ipak pengelaju daun nya terebai. Enda nemu berapa urang duduk ba atas daun nya ga. Kada enda asap aja tauka remang kena kesai ke kebu iya ke dipeda aku kerabol ayas dalam batu ilau deh! Dini enda meh kilang alai sida Keling nya meli daun nya? Enti nitihka cherita sida ini Andan, iya madahka diri bisi nyau tikai selambar ke dengkah iya ba tempuan. Enda nemu nyau kini kati. Udah bekau muat padi ke dijembi kemari. iya ngulung tikai senggang nya alu disandihka iya ba dinding ba tempuan ga. Enda memukai, peda iya pagi siti, tikai gulung tikai nya nadai agi ba dia ga. Entah sapa ke ngambi enda madah nya.
Kira nyau ka tengahari pagi nya, dinga munyi utai nyau munyi guntur meletup di langit mansa ba atas perabong rumah sida iya. Yeah, we are not short of brains apart from the YDK and the current leaders to lead to develop the dayak community. There is a good future for dayak provided that there is no kepapas altitude in the leaders or the one who intend to lead. Certain leaders are good but may look like kepapas to others who don’t benefit from their leadership or simply others refuse to associate with such leaders for certain reasons known to themselves. Makai nenggali sigi semampai kenyang belama ga, nadai mayuh urang enggau berebut nyepot lauk ke nyamai. Bisi kedua nya sigi enda nemu leju makai belaukka sushi ikan Salmon.
Dayak-dayak di malaysia terutamanya di sarawak tidak bersatupadu menyebabkan orang-orang dayak semakin ketinggalan.
Mencampuri urusan permerintah bukan satu-satunya cara untuk merubah kehidupan orang-orang dayak.
Orang dayak seharusnya merubah permikiran mereka sendiri. Sikap malas berusaha mengubah hidup sendiri. Hanya tahu bergantung kepada pemerintah.
Orang dayak MALAS.Malas berubah, malas berusaha, malas berdikari, malas berfikir dll.
Berapakah keyakinan sekalian dayak bahawa kehidupan kalian akan berubah sekiranya dipegang pembangkang? siapa yang memerintah tiada satupun yang boleh mengubah kehidupan sekalian. Kecuali kalian yang ingin berubah.
Isu dayak bukan untuk orang iban sahaja. Dari apa yang kita nampak disini. Iban hanya mengeluh dengan nasib mereka sendiri, bercakaran sesama sendiri. Sekiranya berterusan sebegini iban tak akan maju,berubah dan hanya dibawah selama-lamanya.
Walaupun kami warga dayak kalimantan negara yang mundur tetapi kami orang-orang dayak bersatupadu.
Bercakap tetapi tak buat umpama menyalakan lilin dengan api.Api menyala tetapi lilin semakin lebur kehangusan.Habisnya lilin barulah api terpadam.
Anang ka balat ga kitai ka ngeleseka uchu endu Marina nya ke ka nyambung belajar agai tingkat diploma enggau result iya ke jauh manah nya. Ba negeri tu, enti salah course diambi, bisi ari ga anak kitai menganggor baka sida ke meragut ba sebelah Bintawa Industrial Estate dia. Sida nya sanggup malu sida indu ke bejalai kadiri sampai luput laban sida ke sinu kadiri empu ke nadai pengawa. Seringgit dua nya pen dikenyadi. Ba ati sida iya, kapa urang ke kena ragut nya enda parai dipalu sida iya, awakka nadai ngelala, nadai ngehepot agai polis. Agai uchu endun Marina, aku arapka nuan belajar bebendar, anang alah ituk sida ditu laban sida nemu kes nuan tu nyau pegari ba pelitik diatu.
