NEW YEAR 2010 RESOLUTION
Written by gkm2020
Does Bansa Dayak have any New Year 2010 Resolution?
Another New Year is just 3 days away, let us set aside our “politico ideology” and other differences here for the moment.
Let us ponder on this topic as we face a new future NY 2010 and see what is best for our Bansa Dayak i.e. to be at par with others by end of NY 2020? We only have 10 years more to go.
Are we going to continuously pursuing political grievances or finding solutions to resolve and retain our native sovereignty rights and problems?
Can we plan and predict our tomorrow?
Will next year better than this year? Are we locked onto the right direction? Who could be the next Chief Minister of Sarawak? Do we have any alternative plan if we failed in the first quarter? Will Global Warming become worse than ever? Will there be another Global Economic recession and/or terrified war(s)? And so on.
Can we predict the future? Well, each and every one of us has our own Hope, Dream, Vision and Goal, and others have their own Financial Target, Academic Achievement, etc Read more

Dayak Focus in Education
Written by Dr. John Brian Anthony
Dayak Disadvantage
Today, the door is almost shut to senior government position in the Federal and the State Civil service for Dayak.
We must not blame anyone for it – because it is a fact that members of the Public Service Commission are made up of various races and Dayak is well represented. Maybe those of you who knows the Dayak representative in the PSC should share the information with Dayakbaru.
Were these Dayak PSC members bullied by other races. It looks most likely. I used to know people who were appointed to PSC members having education not higher then Form Three. We do not expect them to have a bigger picture of their job. To them they are just over the moon after having been appointed to the job. Read more

Dayakbaru thinking on Federal Government and PBB Sarawak.
Written by Dr. John Brian Anthony
Request from BN Dayaklama
There are a few comments in this blog and particularly from those who called themselves the Dayaklama pro-tem committee calling for no discussion on issues of West Malaysia or Federal government. Their reasoning centre around their views that issues of the Federal government or West malaysia is not relevant to Sarawak Dayak.
Are the Issues of West Malaysia and Federal Government relevant to Sarawak?
Yes. The issues of West Malaysia and Federal government is relevant to Sarawak because the Federal government has a direct link to Sarawak. The Prime Minister lead the Federal government and he determines the policies, direction and how Sarawak progress could be achieved. The Federal government work closely with the State government and provide development fund through budgets passed by Parliament. Read more

Muafakat Baru atau 1 Malaysia; Mana satu pilihan Hati
Taken from The Malaysian Insider
Read more

Your children’s future and politics
Written by William Leong ( PKR member)
All Malaysians are duty bound to help each other to achieve a better life in our country. With the performance of the UMNO/BN for the last 52 years, especially the last 28 years, the country has been raped by politicians and their cronies. You know how arrogant they are, let us have look.
What you see in Malaysia today
1. They are extending the APs to 2015. They are giving themselves free money. This is daylight robbery. We are talking big bucks, billions
2. The taxes and duties on cars continue to be high to protect Proton but we the public pay through our nose. If the PR government comes into power we can
expect prices to drop by at least 50% for imported cars. Why are we paying these cronies our hard earned money so that they can drive around in their new and latest Ferraris, BMWs etc.
3. Have you noticed that they appoint themselves to high paying jobs and positions where they can also earn additional side income. Again these side income run into billions.
4. The Accountant General reported that RM 28B was wasted by you know who and for who. These figures probably do not involve the highly secretive arms contracts which run into billions.
5. Look at the way they snatched the Perak State government.
6. Look at the way they treated Teoh Beng Hock
7. Look at the way they are trying to get Anwar
8. Look at the Lingam’s Royal Commission
9. Look at the PKFZ delaying tactics, get one report after another, and then another and if necessary another and then only the small fish get caught and hauled to Court. Read more

Dayak initiatives to improve their economic standing
Written by Dr. John Brian Antony
Be Independent – depend on ourselves
We Dayak are too dependent on “political leadership” and allow situation to blur up our objective and therefor live. As mentioned many times before, changes start from within a person. Education is very important to understand the changes we need and to make the change. This is the 1st level.
Then as we look at our community – can our community leaders be depended upon to show us the way. How about the Ybs, are they making community change their thinking to be enterprising and working towards own goals or are the community being feed with “give away” and instant noodles” which is not creating impact but the easiest job foe the YB to do. Just give away tax payer money.
Top level we look at our government. This is the institution that sets direction for all of us. Do we agree with the direction and second do we know whether we did well or not. Most of the time – the lies and the half truth through propaganda is what cloud the eyes and confused the people.
It is those with education and with proper access to information that pick up the gap but is hopeless to make any changes as the majority are ill informed and victim of propaganda. Read more

Change WE Must (4)
Written by Dr John Brian Anthony
Is Change possible in Malaysia?
Yes – Malaysian wanted to make a change because they needed it. But what is stopping the change? You know the Government is the most influential body to make changes through their policies and behaviour.
Who is the Federal Government today?
EEer- Barisan Nasional. Is BN making the necessary change as demanded by Malayisan. Maybe. The government tried to make the change but old habits die hard. They talk from the point of Government “power” and they made “forms” changes rather then ” structural change” and paid lip service / superficial change instead of “internalization” of change.
What are the things that BN need to address urgently and are most crucial to the future of Malaysia?
- Private sector as engine of growth. Today it is down to below 10% from the highest 30% during Tun M time. It means Money is not generated by private sector – so government has to pump in money. Where do they get the money ( our tax and Petronas). That is why misdirected fund of 60% in Sarawak in unacceptable. Sarawak Government should be more responsible to ensure money is used correctly. Defence Ministry and RMAF – look under your carpet
Written by Dr John Brian Anthony
Najib says: No Cover Up
When Najib speak – it is going to get everything in a mess like “There will be no cover up for the thief of the fighter jet engines”. Then we read newspaper report that says 40 RMAF personnel including a Brig-Gen has been removed from their job for the thief.
Then it says the jet engines was found missing last year May, then was only reported in August the same year.
What happened between May and August – a three month period? Are the Defence Ministry under Najib and the RMAF looking for the engines under their office carpet – or maybe in the Officer’s mess toilet room. Read more

Project To Renew Malaysia
Written by Dr. Francis Ngu
Dr. Francis Ngu, is a member Parti Keadilan Rakyat, Sarawak.
Responsible critique to spur constructive public debate
As the most serious nation-building document that has emerged for some time, the document now deserves responsible critique from the Malaysian community, partisan allegiance aside. This critique hopes to spur constructive public debate on the policies in the new found spirit of democratic participation ushered by the birth of Pakatan Rakyat.
Bringing Reform
This is an attempt to bring about far reaching reforms which the people are now anticipating. A fresh new national consensus is sought by Pakatan Rakyat which will be worthy of a progressive nation facing the challenges of the globalised scene of the 21st Century.
People’s Rights
It is wide-ranging in scope, covering major political, governance and social-economic areas, and is thus necessarily in an outline or summary form. Based on the “People’s Rights” values underpinning, it is now the role of civil and political society to fill in the details over time. Wide indeed are the spaces open up, in a new spirit of freedom, equitable rights and social compassion, to advance efficient and effective administration, infrastructure development, green economic progress, service delivery, etc. The agricultural sector however, deserves direct attention by itself. WHAT DAYAKBARU BELIEF?
Written by gkm2020
Just my thoughts: Gone are the “Old Days Belief”
In the past and for the last 46 years has gone by, the majority of us have negative contracts; a “Bansa Negative” (BN) as promoted by BN government. A belief we developed at a much younger age which continues to be seen as a truth; “anang ngelaban perintah”.
This much implanted BN negative contract and ideology is a silent killer to our community’s success growth. It will contribute to sabotage each and every time until you have taken away its silent power. DBs are not “Bansa Naïve” anymore!
Don’t let others dictate your life
Now, do you still want others to detect your life and/or what your needs and wants? Deep inside there you can’t deny the truth unless you don’t have a heart. We’re already living in a modern society; the digital world in actual fact. I don’t believe life is about survival. I believe life is about finishing well for others. Is your father named BN? Is Dayakbaru a threat to Dayak
Comment by Cina Chantung
Attention: changop4540, JS and Telaga Kumang,
Try to Paint a Picture
It is obvious that you are not interested to be part of Dayakbaru discussion, reading from your comments. You are more interested to paint a picture of who and what is Dr John Brian.
Are you interested in Dayak issues?
No, as your comments showed that you are more interested to hurl endless accusations at Dr John and praise the mighty Sarawak’s White Crocodile and its clan.
Is a blog owner responsible to implement policies and monitor its success?
No, that the job of politicians and the State Government Office bearers. As a blog owner, the blogger pens whatever crazy ideas that he has on his blog and allows viewers to comment on his ideas.
Is Dayakbaru a threat to Dayak?
Maybe. If you are a politician or interested personnel who has been gaining riches by robbing your own mother land. Also if you have been ’selling out’ your own kind for your own gain. Then the answer is yes, Dayakbaru is a threat. If you are a person who believes that everyone has equal opportunity to voice their opinions and issues that affect their daily life, then the answer is no. Depending on what’s your motive and intention, Dayakbaru blog either send shivers down your spine, or it brings tireless effort to change the way Dayak lives now. Read more

MP of Bintulu – Where are you going?
Written by Dr. John Brian Anthony
The Chinese Dailies
The Chinese Dailies seemed to be saying that they expect Bintulu MP to be taken to court and be charged with certain wrong doing as a result of the PKFZ project.
The people who are brought to court now are just mere executive level ( General Manager PKA and Chief Operating Officer KD). The other is a consultant.
What it meant?
If the BN government stop at where they are now – the Corrupting index will slide down further as the government would be seen to show no will power to go down to the bottom of the scandal.
It will also show that MACC is truely an “instrument” used by the BN government to white wash their wrong doing and suppress their political opponents.
MP of Bintulu should have no problem to go to court as he maintained that he has done no wrong. Rightly so as he is innocent until proven guilty. Read more

Keyakinan kapada rakyat
Taken from The Malaysian Insider
Read more
