A Call to prayer: for the word Allah
Posted by Dr. John Brian Anthony
Dear Bishops and Heads of Churches in Malaysia,
Re: “Allah” word cases before the KL High Courts – A call to prayer
Warmest Christian greetings to you in this Advent season as we herald the coming of our Lord and Saviour and celebrate Christmas.
May we request that a season of prayer and fasting be called for in your churches as two “Allah” word cases come before the High Courts in Kuala Lumpur this month. Please disseminate to your churches our request for prayer and fasting as we mobilise all Christians for a time of prayer.
The first hearing on 2 Dec (Wed) 2009 at 2.30pm is before Judge Datuk Alizatul Khair Osman Khairuddin at the Appellate and Special Powers Court 3, KL High Courts Complex, Level 3, Jalan Duta. Malaysian Jill Ireland binti Lawrence Bill is challenging the Home Affairs Minister’s order to confiscate her books which has the “Allah” word.
The second hearing on 14 Dec (Mon) 2009 hearing is before Judge Datuk Lau Bee Lan at the Appellate and Special Powers Court, KL High Courts Complex, Level 3, Jalan Duta. The hearing is likely to be held at 2.30pm. This is a challenge to the power of the Home Affairs Minister to stop the weekly Christian publication “Herald” from using the “Allah” word.
Please pray for the following that :
• The Lord God be sovereign over these hearings;
• The presiding judges be granted wisdom to uphold the provisions of the Federal Constitution;
• The lawyers before the judges may have wisdom, strength and courage to speak the truth in grace and love;
• May evil and its human agents not prevail by disrupting these proceedings;
• May the Lord God grant us His favour by allowing the word “Allah” to be used in the Alkitab, in all Christian publications, and audio-visual recordings in all media in both Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia.
Let us together pray for a good outcome so that all of us, especially our Orang Asli, Sabah and Sarawak brothers and sisters in Christ, may continue to use our Alkitab and all our Christian materials in Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Indonesia without fear or hindrance.
Seeking the following Declaration
For your information, in the 14 December hearing, the Archbishop of KL is seeking several declarations of the High Court namely :
1. the applicant has the constitutional right to use the word “Allah” in the Herald in the exercise of his right that other religions other than Islam may be practised in peace
2. Article 3 (1) of the Federal Constitution does not empower the respondents to prohibit the applicant from using the word “Allah” in the Herald
3. the applicant has the constitutional right to use the word “Allah” in the weekly in the exercise of his right to freedom of speech and expression
4. the applicant has the constitutional right to use the word “Allah” in the Herald in the exercise of his freedom of religion which includes the right to manage its own religious affairs
5. the applicant has the constitutional right to use the word “Allah” in the Herald in the exercise of his right in respect of education of the Catholic congregation in the Christian religion
6. the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984 does not authorise the respondents to prohibit the applicant from using the word “Allah” in the Herald
7. that the word “Allah” is not exclusive to the religion of Islam
(as reported on 28 May 2009 in http://www.facebook.com/l/44725;www.malaysiakini.com/news/105343 )
May the joy of Christmas who is Jesus Christ truly abound in all our hearts this Advent season!

Dear Dr. John,
Besides prayers, perhaps the churches of malaysia should also seek clarification and support from the authorities of Saudi Arabia, the heart of Islam religion and Indonesia, the biggest Islamic country in the world.
God’s will be done.
O Lord…Come to my assistance,
O Lord make haste to help me,
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Spirit,
as it was, in the beginning is now,and will be forever amen..alleluia…
WHO IS GOD – ALLAH?
Who does He claim to be? The Creator? A benevolent friend? A life-force? Who is He to YOU? What’s His nature? What are His attributes? Is He a God/Allah of Love? Is He an angry God/Allah? Is He passive and complacent?
Please hear the “GOD” answer in English, Malay, Javanese, Hebrew, Arabic, Hindi, Malayam, Tamil, Telugu, Chinese, Urdu, Bengali, Kannada, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Swedish, etc: http://godwhoisgod.com/
Malaysian Government Seizes 15000 Bibles in recent months because they referred to “God” as “Allah,” a translation that has been banned in this Muslim-majority country. Malaysia has banned non-Muslims from using the word “Allah”. Please kindly refer to this article: http://www.imdiversity.com/villages/global/Global_Politics/MalaysiaBible.asp
The controversial issues of Malaysia: (other than political scenario)
• Religious issue: GOD Vs ALLAH or ALLAH Vs GOD
• Racial issue: RACIST Vs EXTREMIST
• Legal issue: SEDITION ACT Vs ISA
1Malaysia say they want to promote “Bahasa Malaysia” but when it come to translation of “God” to “Allah” they say it’s wrong and “kafir”. By the way who invent the “words of God” in any human’s tongue and written languages that live on earth today?
1Malaysians are not sensitive to religious environment or freedom of worships and rights; are you not?
Indonesia believe in “True Religious Freedom”
Do you know in Indonesia (one of the most Islamic populated nation), the religious freedom are more liberal when compare to unfortunate 1Malaysia?
Christians (including Jakarta city) are allowed to have their mass freely in hotel conference hall during the early holy Sunday morning (singing aloud with band too) and even to do conduct their baptism in the hotel swimming pool.
The government even allowed a one session on every Sunday morning a special “Christianity Broadcasting Channel” (Programa Nasional Satu) in their Nasional TV program. I truly salute the Indonesian Government! Praise to SBY’s Government!!!
To the Iban/Dayak God is “Allah-Taala Ti Pemadu Bekuasa” “Apai ti meruan belama,” “Raja Pemaik.” Isaiah 9:6 …… Nya meh kitai meda pemesai Tuhan ti ngaga dunya! Puji Tuhan! as written in ‘Buk Kudus’.

The 1957 Constitution of the Federation of Malaya: Article 11
Though Islam is the religion of the Federation, Article 11 provides that every person has the right to profess and practice his own religion. Every person has the right to propagate his religion, but state law and, in respect of the Federal Territory, federal law may control or restrict the propagation of any religion, doctrine or belief among persons professing the Muslim religion. There is, however, freedom to carry on missionary work among non-Muslims.
Sabah/Sarawak (18/20 Points Agreement) Point 1: Religion
While there was no objection to Islam being the national religion of Malaysia there should be no State religion in North Borneo, and the provisions relating to Islam in the present Constitution of Malaya should not apply to North Borneo.
God in Islam
Allah is the standard Arabic word for God. While the term is best known in the West for its use by Muslims as a reference to God, it is used by Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, in reference to “God”. The term was also used by pagan Meccans as a reference to the creator-god, possibly the supreme deity in pre-Islamic Arabia.
The concepts associated with the term Allah (as a deity) differ among the traditions. In pre-Islamic Arabia amongst pagan Arabs, Allah was not considered the sole divinity, having associates and companions, sons and daughters – a concept which Islam thoroughly and resolutely abrogated. In Islam, the name Allah is the supreme and all-comprehensive divine name.
All other divine names are believed to refer back to Allah. Allah is unique, the only Deity, creator of the universe and omnipotent. Arab Christians today use terms such as All?h al-Ab (???? ????, “God the Father”) to distinguish their usage from Muslim usage. There are both similarities and differences between the concept of God as portrayed in the Qur’an and the Hebrew Bible.
The most fundamental belief that a Muslim has is that “There is only One God,” the Creator, the Sustainer – known in the Arabic language and by Muslims as Allah. Allah is not a foreign god, nor an idol. Arabic-speaking Christians use the same word for the Almighty.
To believe in Allah, which is the Arabic name for God for Christians, Jews and Muslims, means to believe in him as He commands. Tawhid is a fundamental belief in Islam, which is the oneness of God. Muslims do not believe in a trinity, nor do they believe that God is everywhere.
Muslims believe that God is one, indivisible, and that He is above the seven heavens. How? We don’t know. And, we don’t ask.
God exists before and after His creations, God does not resemble any of His creation, and any image that you can imagine does not resemble God. But, Allah is everywhere in his knowledge: he sees everything, hears everything, knows everything, is omnipotent and omniscient.
God in Christianity
In the Christian religion, God is the eternal being that created and preserves the universe. The Bible never speaks of God in an impersonal sense. Instead, it refers to him in personal terms — as one who is, who speaks, who sees, hears, acts, and loves.
God is understood to have a will and personality and is an all powerful, divine and benevolent being. He is represented in Scripture as being primarily concerned with people. For he is an all seeing God.
God is believed to be both immanent (meaning that he is with and within all things), and transcendent (meaning that he is outside space and time, and therefore eternal and unable to be changed by forces within the universe).
Although the Catholic Church, Eastern Orthodox churches, and the various Protestant denominations believe that they worship the same God, some have differing beliefs about his nature.
God is usually held to have the properties of holiness (separate from sin and incorruptible), justice (fair, right, and true in all his judgments), omnipotence, omniscience, omnibenevolence, omnipresence and immortality (eternal and everlasting).
The Christian God is understood by Trinitarians as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; a single infinite being who is both within and beyond nature. Because the persons of the Trinity represent a personal relation even on the level of God to himself, he is represented by all Christian denominations to be personal both in his immanence (in his personal relation toward us) and in his transcendence (in his personal relation toward himself).
Nontrinitarians hold that God, the Father, is supreme; that Jesus, although still divine Lord and Savior, is the Son of God; and that the Holy Spirit is a phenomenon akin to God’s will on Earth. The holy three are separate, yet the Son and the Holy Spirit are still seen as originating from the one, true, and eternal God.
Others
Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, use the word “Allah” to mean “God”. The Christian Arabs of today have no other word for ‘God’ than ‘Allah’. (Even the Arabic-descended Maltese language of Malta, whose population is almost entirely Roman Catholic, uses Alla for ‘God’.)
Arab Christians for example use terms All?h al-ab (???? ????) meaning God the father, All?h al-ibn (???? ?????) mean God the son, and All?h al-r?? al-quds (???? ????? ?????) meaning God the Holy Spirit (See God in Christianity for the Christian concept of God).
Arab Christians have used two forms of invocations that were affixed to the beginning of their written works. They adopted the Muslim basm-Allah, and also created their own Trinitized basm-Allah as early as the eight century CE.
The Muslim basm-Allah reads: “In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.” The Trinitized basm-Allah reads: “In the name of Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, One God.”
The Syriac, Latin and Greek invocations do not have the words “One God” at the end. This addition was made to emphasize the monotheistic aspect of Trinitian belief and also to make it more palatable to Muslims.
According to Marshall Hodgson, it seems that in the pre-Islamic times, some Arab Christians made pilgrimage to the Kaaba, a pagan temple at that time, honoring Allah there as God the Creator.
Conclusion
How long have Malaysian achieved its independence that we have lived in harmony until today? Why have we not realized the controversial words of “Allah” or “Allah-Taala” or “God” earlier on?
Or is “someone” fears that another 15,000 “someone” would be converted to Christians? Why should ones fear that? We should fear “GOD” (Allah) instead of human being converted to their faith? Unless ones has lost his/her faith in God (Allah/ Allah-Taala) but who are you to judge them?
Who are we as “human beings” or “the creatures of the earth” to judge someone is “kafir” or not? We are no God – no Allah; we are all going to be judged by God (Allah). We are all sinners and only He can forgive our sins.
Should the Muslim and the Non-Muslim have realized this issue earlier on; Malaysia “Mederka” would not have been formed and achieved until today.
Now, what if Hindu and/or Buddhist are in both Muslim and Christians’ shoes; what would “they” think of Non-Hindu or Non-Buddhist?
Why do many Arab Christians refer to God as “Allah”?
How we as ‘1Malaysian’ can maintain tolerances in 1Malaysia if we are insensitive to religious belief of others?
My last word, please kindly returned the 15,000 bibles to their respective owners if we truly believe in God (Allah/ Allah Taala).
Auk, nasib endar ga bansa sida keturunan urang “Panggau Libau” enda besebut ka “Keling” nya “Tuhan Allah” serta “Kumang” nyadi “Mariam” neh? Just joking; forgive me for saying so…
I am quite puzzle of from where was the origin of the word “Allah”. In the Bible I can’t find any if I am not mistaken or miss read. If it was derived or stolen or copied from the word “Allah” in the Koraan, then there is no point for we Christain to squabble and go to court about it. Any way, if it was a matter of translation, then the basic is there, no body can critise or stop you from using your own language.
Iban and Malay language, said, sound and meaning, some are almost the same that cannot be denied.
If Christain cannot use the word “Allah” because we fail in our court bid, then don’t be dishearten
and make hatred to the our muslim friend for they are doing what they think is right. We omit the name “Allah” and call him Lord, Tuhan, God and his real name in the Bible (Jehovah/Yahweh) or more precise just call him father (Apai), because we are his son in Jesus. He will hear and answer you as long as you pray with your heart and make request in Jesus name.
What human think is right is not always right in God’s eyes, human just cannot judge themselves for the real judge will come soon. So don’t worry we Christain just hand over all your worries to God our father, just pray that this problem will be solved.
Please don’t bring religion into politic, for politic will control over your religion, but you can bring politic into your religion for religion will control over your politic and make you an honest trusted politician.
Politic is human made but religion is universal.
If religion is control by politic that religion is no more pure and merely for human power of greed.
Some years back the Iban translation of the New Testament had the name “Isa” in place of Jesus. Somehow the name “Isa” was taken off all other Iban Bibles, as Isa was an Arabic word which merely acknowledged that Jesus was a prophet like others before him. But Jesus is more than an ordinary prophet. He’s the Messiah. Just to drive my point here, let me quote from the book of Acts chapter 4, verse 12, where it is written: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved” (but by the name of Jesus). So from then on the name “Isa” no longer appeared in any Iban bibles or the liturgy used in church. Likewise, the name “Allah” is also an Arabic word which was used by people of the Arabian peninsula, even before the coming of Islam, to call their god. So should we continue to call God in our Iban prayer “Allah”?
I don’t like to call my God, Allah. The christian God differs the muslim Allah. We worship different gods. I have never used Allah to refer to my God, my Lord in Jesus Christ. How could we feel so comfortable to refer Jesus as our Allah? In my opinion, we don’t have to fight for it. Let Allah be th muslim god, and let Jesus be our Lord, our God who had ever come down in flesh.
The god of Islam is Allah. Allah is not the God of the Christians and Jews. That will offend Muslims. Why is that?
If our Muslim friend, believe Allah is superior, then differentiating between Allah and the God of the Jews just means I am following an inferior Deity. So what’s the problem?
Allah’s teachings contradict both the Old and New Testaments. God says of Himself “I change not”.
If God and Allah are the same Deity, then which is correct? The Bible says Jesus is the Son of God.
The Koran says Jesus was a prophet. He was a wise man and a good teacher, but not the Son of God, since ‘Allah had no son.’
Jesus Christ taught that He was the Son of God, had all authority in both Heaven and earth, went to the Cross rather than deny His Sonship.
Prophet? Jesus said He is the Son of God, God come in the flesh, the Second Person in the Trinity. Islam denies all three. How can Jesus be a prophet of Allah while teaching doctrine contrary to Allah?
Wise man? He went to the Cross for a lie, if Islam is correct. Since Jesus knew He was not the King of the Jews, He could simply have told the truth and Pilate would have set Him free. Not the wisest move ever recorded.
Good teacher? Jesus taught that His kingdom was not of this world, and that it would have no end. He forgave sins, and taught that He would rise from the dead after three days. He said He personally would return to rule the earth.
If Allah had no Son, then Jesus wasn’t Lord. But that would make Him a liar, since being a liar would disqualify Him as a prophet.
And since He went to the Cross for nothing, that effectively crushes Islamic arguments that favor His wisdom or the soundness of His teachings as the logic for denying His Deity.
So, it is crystal clear that we must not call our God, our Father, Jesus the Son and Holy Spirit as Allah. Allah hates Jesus being called the Son of God. I am not going to pray with anyone for the Court to allow the christians using Allah. In fact I am praying that the Court would make a decision that Allah should not be confused with the christian God. Although a manang myself, I wish to remain steadfast calling Jesus my Lord, my God. It’s high time to edit the Malay-Version Bible. The term Allah must be changed to a term that reflects christian God.
Manang Empangau,
God is God anyway and when you pray it is enough just to say and conclude the big picture and leave it to a big God fullstop. We have a God of Earth, Water, sky, mountain and even before you can enter the kingdom of God you have to fight the monkey God who is guarding the gate of heaven.
Jesus said ” I am the only way to the father ” so can Jesus proclaim that he is God while there is someone who are in the higher authority.
Perhaps, Unggal GKM 2020 may can tell us more as he has a depth knowledge about trinity. God one in three which is so confusing. The father God can be Allah as we borrow from the BM translation as there is no proper Iban words for the God as this is really foreign religion. All this while we have orang panggau like keling as our God which is equivalent to the power of God in the western world as brought by the early missionaries. We have father God, the son God,the holy spirit and also don’t forget we have also the mother God. So now we have four small God to make one big God. So among these God who are really have the power, it must be the father isn’t it. The father is the head of the family so he has more authority.
So why not we refer this christian father God as ” Keling ” since this is how we call our former God. Whatever it is, i am more comfotable just to say one word God, or Tuhan and hope that he would understand what i want as people say he knows your heart,so what the hex is necessary to know his exact name.
This is just my opinion and i could be wrong.
Why do many Arab Christians refer to God as Allah?
“Allah” is the Arabic word for “God” and has been so long before the existence of Islam.
The names “Allah” and “God” are generally interchangeable within the Muslim religion and in Middle Eastern cultures.
Some English translations of the Qu’ran (Koran) use the name “God,” others use “Allah”.
This sometimes comes as a surprise to Christians who were raised in Western cultures.
Among former Muslims, many converts to Christianity commonly refer to God as “Allah”. (This is despite the fact that they recognize clear differences in the character of God as described by the Bible compared to Islamic writings.
For example, although Christians, Muslims and Jews firmly believe there is only one God, Christians have the additional doctrine of the Trinity).
Of course, the word “God” does not actually appear in the original Hebrew or Greek manuscripts of the Bible, accepted as Holy by both Christians and Muslims.
“God” is an old English word which developed from an Indo-European word, meaning “that which is invoked,” which is also the ancestor of the German word Gott (meaning: God).
Here’s a cool and detached way to look at this:
If this case is brought and decided in civilian court, I think there will be no issue since Allah is not trade-marked.
But if the the courts decide this case is under the purview of the the religious courts, then it will be tough for Christian folks to win.
If the court rule against, then this a good time to print T-shirts with the word “Allah is My Christian God”, and sell it in all the Pasar Malam -this weekend ! See, if its not for worship purpose, neither the civilian court, nor the religious court can say much. Neither should the police be concern, its just a T-shirt. And you would make lots of money when you sell the T-shirt to the churches this Sunday.
Come to think of it: print some T-shirts with the word, “Allah is My Muslim God” and sell it from the same stand !
Then organise a running for Allah day in major cities (each runner to buy the T-shirt), to generate donations, to replace all banned Bibles with a replacement. For Sarawak Christians, get Alfred to seek donation from Taib, to publish millions of new and leather-bound Bibles with the er, replacement word for Allah Taala.
Yes keep both Gandhi’s word on non-violent opposition, and Jesus word to love thy neighbour like thyself, but plan to make cool cash too, why not ?
Seriously, extreme religious fanaticism can make animals out of human, best to stay rational or stay entertained, as the drama unfold.
Hearing of the case continues. No prejudge. No prejudice.

I had wrote about this in my Blogs before
http://pengayau.wordpress.com/2009/11/15/allah-any-copyright-control-for-this-word/#more-30
And the question is why here in Malaysia we need to made a Big Fuss out of nothing?Christians,Islam and Jews is sharing ONE COMMON believe that there is only ONE GOD regardless what names that we called IT.When we use the word “ALLAH” does it only subjected to the GOD in Islam?Does Allah or even GOD is subjected to Islam only?I believe the issue here is the Usage of the word “Allah” by Christians which in my point of view is harmless and there is nothing with it.If there is any other words in Malay,Chinesse,Tamil,Iban,Kadazan,Dusun or any other ethnic language that equivalent to the word “Allah” well,we might consider of using it instead of “Allah”.But there is none. But that issue shouldnt arise at all because the word “Allah” it self is an Arabic words which mean “GOD”.that is the basis of arguement..
Recently, the Home Minister had rejected the renewal of Permit for publication for “The Herald” for 2010.”The Herald” is the weekly Catholics magazine publish by the Catholics Church and only for distribution among more than 900,000 Catholics in Malaysia.
The weekly’s priest-editor, Reverend Father Lawrence Andrew, explained that the Catholic Church which publishes the multi-lingual weekly, had first applied for the annual licence in late July.
The Home Ministry had replied on Aug 5 and approved their application to publish in four languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin and Tamil, but rejected their request to add a new language, Kadazandusun. The church received a second letter from the Home Ministry on Sept 3, which promptly retracted the approval given a month earlier even though the RM800 publishing fee had been paid up.
The permit is being annualy and it should be ended in 31 December 2009.In the latest chain of event,The Home Ministry is renewing The Herald’s permit for publication and says that it was not revoked and that the renewal of its permit for 2010 is being processed.
A ministry official was quoted as saying that “there was never an issue of revoking the permit for The Herald.”
He told news portal Malaysiakini that the last letter sent to The Herald in September was a notification that the application to publish in the Kadazandusun language was not approved, and that a refund of the permit fee could be made.
He said that the reason for the directive for the refund was that The Herald had paid its fees too early.
He said that the ministry will only process the permit three months before the old permit expires, as in this case it is in January 2010.
In July,Reverend Father Lawrence Andrew has apply for the renewal of the Permit for Publication. From that time onwards, there has been a lots of controversies regardings the usage of the word “Allah”.there are several Muftis who against the usage of “Allah” word by Non Islam and giving a stupid excuses such as “Penggunaan perkataan “Allah” di kalangan bukan Islam boleh menimbulkan kekeliruan di kalangan orang2 Islam, oleh itu kami membantah keras penggunaan perkataan “Allah” selain daripada orang2 Islam”.It did not stops there, they has re-acted untill certain extent that one Officer from JAIS publicly challenged anyone who can show him if there is any words in the Bible which refer to “Allah”
Personally to me,that was insulting to my religion. We live in a multi-racial and multi-religious country, such act was is insulting to the Federal Constitution which clearly stated:
“Though Islam is the religion of the Federation, Article 11 provides that every person has the right to profess and practice his own religion. Every person has the right to propagate his religion, but state law and, in respect of the Federal Territory, federal law may control or restrict the propagation of any religion, doctrine or belief among persons professing the Muslim religion. There is, however, freedom to carry on missionary work among non-Muslims.”
I was wondering, why there is no action taken against that Officer??In my understandings,it can cause Racial tension. It can posesed potential security threat to the country. And there is where ISA(Internal Security Act) should be used. But there is nothing that been done,no action being taken.WHY?????and to make things worse, none of our Christian Ministers,MPs or even YBs dare to speak out in this issue. As if the Catholics Church were fighting in his own cause and not for the sake of Christians????
I bet if it was the Christians,Budhist or Hindus who gave such statement in the public,i believe things were gonna be different?WHY??
Di manakah Kebebasan Beragama??1MALAYSIA kah ini??
Makan-makai,berjalan-bejalai,pulang-pulai, etc. Isn’t that sound almost the same with the same meaning?
Allah SAW- Allah Taala, except for the word Allah, SAW and T are entirely different, so what is there to confuse about. Easy made difficult, small made big. I think they should ask the Iban to change their dialect that are similar so that it won’t confuse them maybe we have stolen their language.
If we are forbidden to use, copyright, or derive from English languauge, then we have to spend millions of ringgit to make new books on medical and science, IT subject because so many words are taken/translated or even copyright from English.
Iban just don’t have the specific word for God, because their petara are so many, don’t know which one is fit to be called God, because God is petara atas semua petara, Raja ari atas semua Raja. Keling Bungai Nuing, Laja are not because so many petara above them, Sengalang Burung, Sempulang Gana are also not, some are higher. If we can find who is the highest and most powerful amongst the many, then we can revive our religion, worship and give glory to him. If not then we have to stay foot, giving glory to God and only God, no matter what his name is because Jesus has told us about him, Jesus we believe.
To me a simple minded person and a catholic though not religious, this issue on the word allah is a non issue.Eventhough I read the bible very little or non at all I strongly believe that our load Jesus Christ has never told us or the bible has never mention that our God’s name is allah. Its just a word.If that’s the case then why do we need to use allah in our publication. If the Muslim feels that allah is their god’s name let them use it.I strongly urge that we christian in Msia should find a name that is nice & pleasing to God to replace the word allah. The word allah now is no more holy and tainted with sin & darkness and I don’t think its nice at all to call Jesus Christ & God by that word. I strongly believe that our lord Jesus Christ & saviour will lead us to the correct word to call our God.
to anthony simer mintok, you said that you read the bible and you strongly believe that your lord jesus christ never told you that Gods name is ALLAH?COBA BUKA KELUARAN 20,Kesepuluh firman, hukun ke 1,bukankah ada tertulis …AKULAH TUHAN ALLAHMU….mcm mna kamu kata tidak ada ditulis dalam kitab?yohanes1 ayat36…LIHATLAH ANAK DOMBA ALLAH..PM kelantan sendiri kata x salah sebut perkataan allah.anyway itu semua timbul dr perasaan dengki.shalomm semua
WHY SHOULD WE FIGHT FOR THIS THING.WE CREATE BY ONE GOD.NO OTHER GOD THAT WE PRAYER FOR.BUT ONE THING THAT WE HAVE TO KNOW AND THEY HAVE TO KNOW.WE BORN 2009 YEARS AGO AND THEY BORN 600 YEARS YOUNGER THEN US.SO THINK ABOUT IT.THEY SAID 1MALAYSIAN, DEMOCRACY COUNTRY.WHAT THE MEANING OF THAT.WE HAVE TO FIGHT FOR IT BUT NOT BY WAR.WAR MEAN NOTHING.GOD NEVER TEACH US TO KILL EACH OTHER.JESUS TEACH US TO LOVE OUR ENEMY AS WE LOVE OUR SELF.NOT TO KILL EACH OTHER.WE WILL GO TO HELL IF WE KILL.NOT TO HEAVEN.SO THINK ABOUT IT IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE TO OTHER THING.YOU KNOW WHAT MEAN.
Igat Changop4540,
You seem to know quite in depth about the christian God whom many christian denominations believe that He is one of the members in the holy Trinity. The Panggau people are far from being considered as God. The Panggau people also learned from God the Creator. They possess supernatural power does not mean that they are equated to God. It’s really insulting to God if Keling is the Father and God himself. Keling is sinful of that blasphemy.
