School Holiday in 2010

The writer highlighted that 2010 school holiday will get in the way of Sabah and Sarawak Harvest and Gawai Dayak celebration. It will make live very difficult for the Dayaks.

What is your opinion?

Dear Sir,

I refer to the 2010 school calender revealed by the education ministry. As you might be aware, the mid term school break falls on 5th of June and it misses the two major festivals in Sarawak and Sabah by a week.

I tried invain to get the emails of MPs from Sarawak and Sabah , so that this matter can be brought up as it will play havoc with the plans of thousands of Sabahans and Sarawakians in peninsula who will be going to their respectives states. Imagine that now they have to call off their plans as their children have to go to school. Let alone the teachers who are from East Malaysia.

I hope you can take up this matter in any way you can and we should remind the education ministry that they should walk the talk of 1 Malaysia.

We met the representative from the Teacher’s Union later today and the KPM will amend the Mid-Term holiday very soon. They regretted for not takng into consideration the people of Sabah and Sarawak. Just wait see for the amendment.

Not surprising, the Malayans does not really understand our cultures. They only concern when you’re a convert….bin Abdullah!! After independance we’ve been sidelined/overlooked in many aspects as bangsa lain-lain…!

Education Ministry Screwing up 1 Malaysia Concept ( big time)
Hi guys and gals, im back after a long long break.. three months to be exact… You know when many things occure before we could write about it. something even more funnier will happen.

Now,when was the last time you saw, a Barisan Nasialan (opps.. i mean Nasional) Boss screwing up another Barisan Boss… And the Best part is Najib is the one who get screwed up this time.

You know how our “Cherry Lip Man” (sorry! you are wrong. He is not related to cicak man) came burst into the scene with his 1 Malaysia slogan and songs. Yap Im talking about Najib. He screams One Malaysia till his ball boils in his pants but his deputy is doing just the opposite to make sure that people really feel that they are not a part of Malaysia.

Im refering to the 2010 School calender where the mid semester holidays are starting in the second week and not in the first week as usuall. This affectively pour cold water on Gawai and Harvest festivals and on the notion that Sarawakians and Sabahans are also a mainstream component of a country called Malaysia.

Lets look at it this way. There are thousands of families cant go back to their native states ( Air Asia and MAS will be more than happy to let know the exact number) and many had already booked their tickets . East Malaysian ( as sometimes they are refered to) teachers are also in a limbo over this new arrangement.

How this can screw up Barisan Nasional ? This Muhidin Yassin ministry just succesfully gave out unlimited ammunition to the opposition in states. Now they are smiling for the favour done by Muhidin Yassin and probably build him a monument.

Come on guys (Barisan Nasional leaders) its a public secret that you guys are not so intelligent but dont go around showing it like this. What the ministry had in its mind when they shifted the semester holidays..? NUTs????

The most appropriate thing to do now is damage control which you guys seems to bundle in and out shamelessly. So try this.. “Sebenar nya tiada masalah dalam struktur percutian . Ia adalah kesilapan juru taip dan ia nya akan di perbetulkan.” And the people will believe and forget that you guys screwed up.

sejak mahidin yasin jd menteri KPM……mcm2 masalah timbul dalam KPM…..org gemuk tdk boleh jd cikgu la….bukan bumiputra enda ulih masuk matrikulasi la…….elak……ya ngaga peraturan baru…..sesuka ati aja….ok la pia….ngantik pilihanraya state tok elak…ku enda akan ngundi BN….selagi SPDP, PRS nadai perjuangkan tanah kitai dan status bumiputra kawin campur……makin hari makin sakit hati medak kitai ke miskin terus miskin….sidak ke kaya makin kaya ba tanah kitai……

Is there any relation/ conspiracy to accomodate Hari Raya holidays for 2010?
Oh no! Sarawak will have its STATE ELECTIONS by this June 2010 school holidays.
Now, I wonder if Iban Abroad, Iban johor, Iban Singapore, and elswhere can make it back to vote.
I bet there’s a conspiracy!

overlook, i guess.

well, let be fair, mistake do happen once in a while.
we are not an android or cyborg, just human. and human do make mistake.

not a really big problem as soon it is rectify and make some adjustments to suit every party.

the problem solved.

or does it? the outcome of its show:

1.our friend is not sensitive to our culture.
2.they thought they are the only being live on earth.
3.you are third class, not so important or to be exact can be ignored. just like,ak,A/p,A/L. But we are B means Best!

heheheh…nama kbuah sida perintah enda meda calendar dulu sbedau mutus ke…kmaya mid school holiday??Laban bala perintah ba menua malaya din enda kiruh ke urg sabah sarawak…ba sida ia sabah sarawak nadai wujud….enti sida ia badas ati sida ia patut nemu kemaya kemisi anembiak ti patut.Malaya oh malaya….hanya gah pada nama,tapi hati kamu busuk sebusuk susu basi…

segi agi menya, bansa nya beambi ulih ba bansa kitai… segi nadai ka kiruh bebasa ka bansa kitai. sendat seput kasak ka bansa bukai, enda sedadu kitai dianjong dulu.. ke agi timbak dulu nya neh cda ia enti betimbak…ke patut tak kayau magang laut malaya ba kanowit sari nya(kes soldadu kitai di perinsa ba Grik suba). pasal cuti tu, tak semina nguntung ke sida ia aja. utai tu lama udah nyadi. lebih2 agi ba IPTA. nadai ngira bansa bukai, tapi nadai kala sida ngenkah maia sembayang ari lima nyadi ka time final exam…BANCHAT BARISAN…..

Dear friends,

The government just cannot be serious when it says to have overlooked the importance and roles of the days of 1st & 2nd of june to the people of Sabah anak Sarawak, especially the Ibans and kadazanDusun.

Overlooking is just a feeble excuse. It must not have been made by the senior people of the Education ministry. These people are purposefully planning for the holiday to cater for their self interest and the expense of the minority. The inconvenience it causes to the Ibans is secondary as we are called “Dan lain lain” in respect of race.

I suppose this is a sheer ignorance and insensitivity of them with regards to the importance of this occasion for harmonious relatianship between Malaysians. And tis is one of the example whereby the interest of the Ibans are not considered when the Federal Govt make its decision. And there are countless of other examples.

Luckily, I am earning my living in Sarawak as I will not be really affected by the ruling. I feeel sorry for my colleagues elsewhere.

Ironically, there is no apparent objection from our Iban YBs. Why?.

This decison must be reviewed and rectified. It just cannot be….

Kita semua jangan susah hati. Kita minta tolong dengan Nik Aziz untuk buat “DOA PEMUSNAH ” kepada menteri yang bertanggungjawab. Mungkin Yassin nanti boleh jadi bisu ataupun sakit gaut pala lutut.
