Defence Ministry and RMAF – look under your carpet
Written by Dr John Brian Anthony
Najib says: No Cover Up
When Najib speak – it is going to get everything in a mess like “There will be no cover up for the thief of the fighter jet engines”. Then we read newspaper report that says 40 RMAF personnel including a Brig-Gen has been removed from their job for the thief.
Then it says the jet engines was found missing last year May, then was only reported in August the same year.
What happened between May and August – a three month period? Are the Defence Ministry under Najib and the RMAF looking for the engines under their office carpet – or maybe in the Officer’s mess toilet room.
What does it means?
Those RMAF personnel are so daring to do the unthinkable. What motivate them to do it – is it any reflection on their Ministry leadership at that point in time. Like the saying goes “Monkey See Monkey Do”. Or Tun Ling says “Fish Rots from the Head”.
Then after the sales is made three other monkeys appeared. One Monkey says: “I see nothing”. The second Monkey says: “I hear Nothing” and the Third Monkey says: “I say Nothing”.
What happened if the thief is not leaked to the press – do you think Najib will say anything?
Maybe not? That is the scary part of all. Can we trust such leadership? Thief of TWO jet engines is a serious breach of national security. Then are any of the RMAF involved put under ISA? I think not too. This is the double standard. A national security breach is not treated as one due to “i do not know what to say – under the shift of an incoming Prime Minister”?
Government response is nothing short of appalling to describe it
Most Opposition politicians put under ISA made tiny or almost nil impact on national security – like YAB Lim Guan Eng who stood up to defend a Malay girl who was raped to ensure that she got justice from the crime. How does that affect national security? He was arrested under ISA.
Now the Brig Gen is said to have been sacked BUT given pre-mature retirement with retirement benefit to boot. Come on Najib – you can do better than that. That Brig Gen should be brought to relevant court and if found guilty he should be severely punished. It is treason Mr. Prime Minister if you care to follow the rules of the country.
Why do we go flip flop again?
Is it possible that we can one day lost our French Scorpion submarine engine too?
Why kept the public in the dark over such important happening for so long?
A year is a long time. Then we have another RMAF general who made the announcement that the lost of the jet engines are not lessening the defence capability of the country. What is the intention of saying that – meaning our country is OK.
The issue is not about our defence capability. We are talking of thief taking place at the highest level it is happening in one of the most protected and sensitive Military installation in our country. If engine could be lost from a high security area – then there is no safe place left in Malaysia. Malaysia Boleh!
To me there was cover up
The fact that a police report was lodged 3 month after the incident does not mean there was no cover up. Till today nothing is “happening” to the report – assuming that the investigation is completed.
This is another of many cases the BN government seemingly have no will to take further action. Remember “correct, correct, correct” . The “Look like me and sound like me” or no, it is not you – it is the “shadow and sound of strong wind blowing from no where”.
BN has been punished. At this rate, they will be punished again in the next GE.
A-G Response
According to Attorney-General Tan Sri Gani Patail, his office only received the investigations papers from the police last month. And now, he has sent the papers back to the police with further directives. Hopefully, it is not another chess game with the objective to get a draw instead of a check-mate.
Where is the Ministry of Defence assurance that it will not EVER happen again.
Nothing yet. Does that mean the Military cannot assure the public that our arms inventory is in safe hand.
I can’t help but recall the days preceding to a certain extremist movement stealing of guns / ammunition from the army’s Armory a few years back. It is really scary if the Armed Forces are not able to endure that arms inventory under their possession cannot be kept safe.
Conclusion
If the General spent too much dwelling in politics directly or indirectly for their personal reason or for keeping a political leader in power, we are threading dangerous waters. This country can go to the shark for all we know.

Bakani ko injil bilun jet ka chukup besai tau lenyau? Kitai irau amat.Tu sigi bisi sendikit bala lanun Malaysia enggau menua luar. Nama kabuah Najib suba enda nemu pasal hal tu? Tu siti kes penyelewengan “Duit Rakyat” bisi orang deka kaya enggau jampat lalu sanggup ngaga sebarang utai taja utai nya salah.
One engine worth RM50 million with two stolen RM100 million. These are army inventory so it is more serious than any other cheating or stealing cases in the country. I hope that we don,t intend to buy or built or own nuclear power station because it will go to the hands of the terrorist easily. Big bait catch big fish.
If this type of hypercrazy attitude keep on going, vision 2020, will be just a blurring vision, dream without meaning. By 2015 Malaysia will go into bankrupcy.
Deo, what happen to your Bukit Aman friends over this “big feasta”. Are they so busy investigating the blogger Merakat anak Piun for a “very big” crime which cost no losses to the country.
Deo, Dayak Lama, this is the world we are going to live in slowly but surely simply because people like you all want and love it so much.
Bravo Dr JBA…..keep telling Dayak Lama, John Toilet Jamban, Deo and the rest of BN supporters what DB really trying to do “change we must” before we end up as what our friend Aya Bujang Tuai said.
pama udah mayuh komplot enjin besai berat bertan2 ulih meh lesap.kada nda kena mantu bala lanun sebelah luar negara din duit asil nyual enjin nya.sigi gaya ideologi urg ka m meh nya.munuh urang ka enda salah masuk syurga meh ka sida.
Defence Minister said, not only the two jet engines but other equipments also missing, what a mess. After this our country will go missing and we’ll find ourselves living in someone else country. All the rich billionieres will migrate and buy other countries citizenship but we the poor will stay foot and become beggars in our home land.
I think this will not be the last to hear but more to come. So many unresolved issues are now on the run, we just cannot afford to wait for the outcome. Tunggu punya tunggu tiada keputusan, sakit kepala sakit jiwa sakit badan, our PM masih boleh tahan, relax sahaja tanpa jawapan.
After a period of time another issue will rise and these old unresolved issues would be just forgotten and gone, that how the evolution run.
Think properly my friends, how can we avoid the things to come. My friends DL,Changgop,JJ,DEO and others we want to hear your idea.
Aya Bujang Tuai,
Ni bala sida Ad Hoc commitee DayakLama tu alu bedau pansut neh?
Dayaklama, John Jamban, Changgop, Deo and partners, why silent?
A government servant involves in any crime can go for early or premature retirement without taking legal proceeding against him, is it a government new administrative procedure?
