KHIR TOYO VESUS MARINA MAHATHIR OVER “ALLAH” ISSUE

Published by on Jan 2, 2010.
Selangor opposition leader Dauk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo has said that he is now in mourning as a Muslim following the decision by the High Court to allow the Catholic church to use the term “Allah” in its weekly publication Herald.
Khir, who is also the Sungai Besar Umno division head, stressed why other religions should not be allowed to even mention the name “Allah” as he claims it would cause “damage, chaos and confusion” among Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
“We don’t want other religions to use it as it (the word Allah) refers to the one and only God. Now that the High Court has allowed the usage of the term Allah, soon any religion can apply their own reasoning to use the word Allah. Imagine if a deity were to be referred to as Allah. Surely it would create a lot of tension,” explained the Umno man.
“The problem is just image. If a young Malay child were to read the pamphlets or Christian publications which referred to the Christian God as Allah, would the child not be confused?” asked Khir, alluding to the fact that the decision could possibly result in the Malay Muslims in the country being under siege.

While some idiots are mourning over the “loss” of the word “Allah” and therefore basically telling the world that they are people easily confused by nomenclature, and others are predicting riots over what is basically a “copyright” issue, let me define what I think a confident Muslim should be:
1. A confident Muslim is unfazed by the issue of God’s name. God speaks to all of humankind in the Quran and never said that only Muslims could call him by the name Allah.
2. A confident Muslim has 99 names to choose from to describe that One God. My favourites are Ar-Rahman (The All-Compassionate) and Ar-Rahim (The All-Merciful) .
3. A confident Muslim never gets confused over which is his/her religion and which is other people’s. For instance, a confident Muslim knows exactly what the first chapter of the Quran is. And it’s not the Lord’s Prayer.
4. A confident Muslim will not walk into a church, hear a liturgy in Malay or Arabic where they use the word “Allah” and then think that he or she is in a mosque. A confident Muslim knows the difference.
5. A confident Muslim is generous, inclusive and doesn’t think that his or her brethren is made exclusive through the use of a single language. The confident Muslim is well aware that in the Middle East, all services of ANY religion are in Arabic because that’s what they all speak.
6. A confident Muslim knows the basis of his/her faith are the five pillars of Islam and will not be shaken just because other people call God by the same name.
7. A Muslim believes in only One God. Therefore it makes sense that other people should call God by the same name because there is no other God.

Prophet Muhammad’s Promise to Christians
The document is not a modern human rights treaty but even thought it was penned in 628 A.D. it clearly protects the right to property, freedom of religion, freedom of work, and security of the person, says Muqtedar Khan.
Muslims and Christians together constitute over fifty percent of the world and if they lived in peace, we will be half way to world peace. One small step that we can take towards fostering Muslim-Christian harmony is to tell and retell positive stories and abstain from mutual demonization.
In this article I propose to remind both Muslims and Christians about a promise that Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) made to Christians. The knowledge of this promise can have enormous impact on Muslim conduct towards Christians. Muslims generally respect the precedent of their Prophet and try to practice it in their lives.
In 628 AD, a delegation from St. Catherine’s Monastery came to Prophet Muhammed and requested his protection. He responded by granting them a charter of rights, which I reproduce below in its entirety. St. Catherine’s Monastery is located at the foot of Mt. Sinai and is the world’s oldest monastery.
It possesses a huge collection of Christian manuscripts, second only to the Vatican, and is a world heritage site. It also boasts the oldest collection of Christian icons. It is a treasure house of Christian history that has remained safe for 1400 years under Muslim protection.
Now, when that delegation from St Catherine’s monastery came to meet with Prophet Mohamad (pbuh), I suppose it’s fair to assume that they spoke Arabic to one another. And when they were conversing, surely the word ‘God’ must have come up.
As in “May God Be With You” and such like. What word did the Prophet (pbuh) use for ‘God’ I wonder? And what did the St Catherinians use in return? For monotheists like them, was there a ‘your God’ and ‘my God’ type of situation, or did they understand that they were both talking about the same One?

In actual fact, there are probably majority who are not confident so there is a cause to fight for the decision. No doubt Pn Marina is a confident muslim but Dr Khir is confident too and he still believes that there are many muslims all over Malaysia who are not as confident as himself. Of course a muslim child will be confused when reading the Herald or enter the church and listening to the priest praying to Allah and think that an imam is giving a sermon.
Dr Khir has a cause to fight the court decision. Bendar amat iya ngulit neh?
To me, Mr.Toyo has earned himself the title,”The man you love to hate”.
The things he said, coupled with his facial expression and body language impressed upon me as a Malay??/Muslim who harbors deep hatred for anybody or anything that is non-Malay or non-Islam.
That hatred and anger reached boiling-point when his beloved’kingdom’,Selangor, was wrested from him and he was dethroned. Barrage of accusations of misgovernance, abuse of power and self-enrichment was thrown at him and his wife.
Since then he is a bitter and angry man. Mind you,an angry person can run amok and hurt or damage anyone and anything, whether by his words or actions,to ease and release his anger and frustrations.
To me,it is expected of him to have said what he said. He was expressing his emotions as a Muslim, and in the process, influencing and inflaming others to hate the Christians.
Does he care about the emotions of the Catholics/Christians!!??
He is just one of the millions of Malays/Muslims extremists who are furious about the High Court judgement that favours the Catholics/Christians. In this respect,he is no different from the Abu Sayaf,Jemaah Islamiah or Al-Queda.
Christians beware of this man!!
What Khir Toyol mentioned in his statement shows that they are not matured in religion. The Christians never meant to use the word Allah to attract Muslims to convert their religion. It is only meant for teaching the Christians and not to preach to the Muslims. After all, both Muslim & Chritian believe there is only one God ie Allah.
What the Toyol & group do is that they try to confuse the people by organizing demonstrations and chaos in our country to show to the people that they are protecting the right of Muslims as if that Allah is belong to them. It seems to me that they are the ones who try to create damage, confuse & chaos in the country. The “pakpolisi” should have done something to stop them. Use ISA against them if the damage that they cause jeopardises the national security and against the spirit of 1Malaysia.
In fact, in Quran or Bible, Allah never prohibit anyone to call Him by that name. The question of Christians try to confuse Muslims by using the word of Allah is not an issue because a Muslim should know the Allah with reference to “Sifat 20″. So, Toyol, you should stop intimidating & confusing the Muslims with your misleading statements.
I personally believe that Toyol & group have a hidden agenda ie to win the support from Muslim voters as a way to topple the PR govt in Selangor. Whatever his reason will be, please don’t use racial & religious issue to win political struggle because such sentiments are very sensitive to other religions / races. Soon they will ‘intervene’ in the judiciary system to ‘influence’ the decision of the court of appeal, as they always do.
Cheers

Najib and Hishammuddin would fail as 1Malaysia leaders if they take the easy way out to court popularity in the “Allah” controversy
The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak and the Home Minister, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein would fail as 1Malaysia leaders if they take the easy way out to court popularity in the “Allah” controversy and fail to effectively represent all ethnic and religious groups in the country.
Hishammuddin said yesterday that the government does not prohibit the people from expressing their views over the use of the word “Allah” by the Catholic weekly magazine Herald, but on the condition that their actions do not undermine national security.
Najib today defended Hishammuddin’s stand on plans by several organizations to stage a demonstration on Friday tomorrow to protest the use the word “Allah” by other religions.
Would Najib and Hishammuddin be so benign and tolerant if demonstrations are organized to support the Kuala Lumpur High Court’s Dec. 31 judgment that the Herald may use the term “Allah”?
Both the Prime Minister and Home Minister’s stance are in direct contradiction to the rationale for the urgent “stay” application on the KL High Court’s “Allah” judgment made by the Attorney-General on behalf of the Home Ministry on the ground of “national interest” and agreed to by the Catholic Church also in the national interest.
Why have the “national interest” and concerns of national security prompting the extraordinary speed with which the application for stay for the KL High Court judgment of Dec. 31 was made, a hearing date fixed and application granted – all within a week – suddenly disappeared from the radar of the powers-that-be immediately after the granting of the “stay” with the consent of the Catholic Church?
Was the government decision to appeal against the KL High Court judgment made in the name of “1Malaysia” – receiving the Cabinet’s approval and not just at the instance of the Home Minister?
Malaysians of all faiths and the world are watching how Malaysia – Najib and his government in particular – are handling the “Allah” controversy, whether in line or totally in disregard of the Najib policy and slogan of “1Malaysia. People First. Performance Now”.
There had been responsible and rational responses as well as irresponsible, irrational, emotional and even extremist responses.
The “Allah” controversy is not a time for one-upmanship or brinkmanship. It is an acid test as to whether the Najib administration is capable of responsible, sober and just response and rational conflict-resolution in plural Malaysia.
On its handling of the “Allah” controversy, Malaysians and the world may be making a conclusive judgment whether Najib’s “1Malaysia. People First. Performance Now” policy is to be taken seriously or is just an empty slogan.
I had suggested that the Cabinet should convene an inter-religious conference to reach an out-of-court settlement of the “Allah” controversy to demonstrate that Najib’s 1Malaysia policy has meaningful application in conflict-resolution and creating inter-religious understanding, goodwill and harmony in Malaysia.
Why is Najib and his Cabinet shy in responding to this proposal?
DB please urge the Dayak YBs to open their mouth on the issue. At least they have to show their stand concerning the matters that affect their religion.
Cheers
John Hock

Najib agreed with the views of Hishamuddin that they cannot stop Muslim NGOs to protest by demonstration at Kampong Baru, KL on Friday. In Penampang, Sabah a group of Church Activists were not allowed by the Police to hold gathering peacefully. What a double standards? Satu Malaysia konsep lah.

NO PERMIT HAS BEEN APPROVED BY IGP
IGP warns against any ‘Allah’ protest
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 7 – Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan today warned the groups planning to stage protest rallies against the use of the word “Allah” to cancel their plans or face action.
He added that police would monitor the situation and would not compromise with anyone who tried to disrupt harmony and pose a threat to the safety of the country.
“Do not do anything that might aggravate the situation. We must practice caution when dealing with religious issues because they are very sensitive,” he told reporters after opening a Innovative and Quality Management seminar for police here today.
The IGP was commenting on reports that a number of non-governmental organizations were planning to stage peaceful protest rallies, in mosques throughout the city here, after the Friday prayers tomorrow.
He stressed that the police have not issued any permits, even for peaceful protest rallies.
“How can police issue a permit for a gathering at a mosque because it is a place of worship,” he said.
He urged all the people involved to be tolerant and let the court settle the issue and avoid issuing any statements that can raise the sensitivity of the people.
The Kuala Lumpur High Court yesterday granted a stay in favour of the Home Ministry to stop Catholic weekly magazine Herald, from using the word “Allah” pending an appeal.
The application was heard in chambers by High Court judge Datuk Lau Bee Lan while Attorney General Datuk Abdul Gani Patail appeared for the Home Ministry, while Derek Fernandez and Benjamin Dawson appeared for Herald.
On Dec 31, Lau ruled that pursuant to Articles 11 and 12 of the federal constitution, Herald had the constitutional right to use the word in respect of instruction and education of the congregation in the Christian religion.
She also said that, pursuant to Article11(4) of the federal constitution, it is an offense for non-Muslims to use the word “Allah” to Muslims to propagate the religion, but it is not an offense for non-Muslims to use the word to non-Muslims for the purpose of religion.
However, on Monday, the Home Ministry lodged an appeal at the Court of Appeal against the decision, and followed up with an application for the stay yesterday.
The Herald, which is printed in four languages, has been using the word “Allah” as a translation for “God” in its Malay-language section but the government argued that “Allah” should be used only by Muslims. – Bernama

There are people who like to pretend in their actions and in words they said just to garner sympathy or support from ignorant members of the society.
It is a pity when that person was the former Menteri Besar of the richest and advanced state in Malaysia.Furthermore a Dental doctor, Why stooped so low- sudah tiada lagi modal politik kah ????
So, to our fellow Christians brothers and sisters please remain calm and stay out of streets tomorrow.

On what basis you give this authority? Are you saying that Christians must stay indoor? I suppose everybody should continue going to street as usual. I am going to bring my family for food out there as usual or window shopping.
Umno Selangor wants “Allah” to be exclusive to Muslims
SHAH ALAM, Jan 7 – The gates to the Istana Kayangan, the official residence of the Sultan of Selangor, was packed with a crowd of about 100 UMNO protesters who had gathered there to submit a memorandum to the ruler over the “Allah” controversy.
The protesters waved UMNO flags and shouted slogans before handing over a memorandum to palace officials.
“We object strongly to the Catholic publication, the Herald Weekly, using the word ‘Allah’ as measures need to be taken to guard the sanctity of Islam. The use of ‘Allah’ by the Herald will in turn threaten the religion of Islam,” said Datuk Ismail Kijo who read out excerpts of the memorandum delivered to the Sultan.
Ismail stated that, as Muslims, members of Umno Selangor would not allow non-Muslims to use ‘Allah’ to preach to the Muslims.
He also said that the gathering today was an “act of prayer” as it was compulsory for every Muslim to defend his religion against threats or attacks.
Wonder who else behind such movement?
More to come….
Dear DB Readers,
Look it positive way regarding BN political propoganda disallowing Non-Muslim using the word Allah.
It is clear that the reason of UMNO stop Non-Muslim using the word Allah is not becos of religion role but becos of UMNO Muslim interest.
It will make more concrete supportive for Non-Muslim and Muslim opposition to support PR in next election in order to expidate our country introduce 2 Party System.
In this case, I wish more person like Mr. Toyo come out protest the court situation especially during the election day.
DB, manah agi nyimbah minyak ngagai api ari ke mai pemadam api.
Cheer.
My beloved Dayak baru members
Do you believe the Almighty Creator rest on the seven day?
Do you want your friends and families to believe the Almighty Creator has baby, son or sons?
Do you want your generation to believe the Jesus is God or Son of God?
Do you want the Christian continue to cheat and confused everyone in this world to believe in Trinity?
Do you want those who are less confident to be cheated to believe Allah Sleep, Allah Rest, Allah fight and has son?
Enough is enough, we don’t want any human being to be cheated by the Christian to disobey Jesus ( peace be upon him) and to disobey Muhammad ( peace be upon him)
Did any where in the bible that Jesus teach about Trinity?
One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” (NIV, Mark 12:28-31).
Allah don’t rest on Sunday. Allah or don’t sleep or fight like the God in the bible.
Who is Allah?
2:255 (Y. Ali) Allah. There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).
2:256 (Y. Ali) Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.
112:1 (Y. Ali) Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
112:2 (Y. Ali) Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
112:3 (Y. Ali) He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
112:4 (Y. Ali) And there is none like unto Him.
So God in the bible is not Allah Taala, because the God in the bible rest, sleep and fight and has died son.
66:6 (Y. Ali) O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded.
66:7 (Y. Ali) (They will say), “O ye Unbelievers! Make no excuses this Day! Ye are being but requited for all that ye did!”
66:8 (Y. Ali) O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,- the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and by their right hands, while they say, “Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou hast power over all things.”
Oh Allah Taa’la the Almighty God the Creator please guide us the truth and save us from the hellfire.
Sincere from a less confident believer in Allah Taa’la to all mankind
AMEEN
All Readers,
PAS want court ruling reversed…..”ALLAH” exclusively for Islam.
Pas fully supports the government’s decision to appeal against the High Court decision that allows Catholic weekly Herald to use the word “Allah” and wants the ruling reversed.
Despite its unanimous stand that non-Muslims are allowed to use the word, Pas vice-president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said the party had actually agreed on three principles, one of which is to support the Home Ministry’s appeal against the court’s ruling last week.
“We will follow the appeal and will seek help from the Conference of Rulers if necessary.
“Pas wants the ruling to be changed as the use of the word ‘Allah’ in the weekly can confuse people. That is our stand,” he said when contacted yesterday.

Pas: We want the ruling reversed
2010/01/07
The writer of this article has painted a wrong picture for reason best known to himself.
If one study carefully PAS is quite adamant that other religion cannot borrowed the words “ALLAH”.
PAS had wanted the word “ALLAH” to be used exclusively for Muslim.
KUALA LUMPUR: Pas fully supports the government’s decision to appeal against the High Court decision that allows Catholic weekly Herald to use the word “Allah” and wants the ruling reversed.
He said other principles were to urge people not to manipulate or demonstrate over the issue and that the non-Muslims should not transgress into Muslim affairs, although Pas is consistent that all people have freedom to practise their beliefs.
He added that the word “Allah” has been synonymous with Muslims all this while.
“We do not agree (with the court’s ruling) because we worry the word could be abused.
“If it (Herald) says that Allah is dead, what will be our perception? When the word “Allah” is mentioned, the Muslims are offended,” said the party disciplinary committee chairman.
Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, via a written statement on Monday, had endorsed the use of the word “Allah” by non-Muslims, saying it was consistent with the Federal Constitution and Islamic principles.
The statement, issued after a three-hour central political bureau meeting, warned that the word must not be misused or abused to avoid religious disharmony in the country.
However, the Islamic party did not make public its stand on the usage of the word in Herald.
Tuan Ibrahim said it would be a fact if the weekly said “Allah” has created the sky and the earth, but it would be an abuse if it said that ” Allah” has a son.
He said the Muslims are worried over the abuse of the word and the issue has triggered a huge reaction from the rakyat.
“There must be a proper guideline to avoid the word from being abused,” he added.
When asked about the statement by Pas deputy spiritual adviser Datuk Dr Haron Din on the issue, Tuan Ibrahim said what the former meant was that the Muslims should not allow the word “Allah” to be misused.
arah,
Enti nuan empu enda kala meda Tuhan Allah, anang bejako maioh mandang ka diri pandai. Enti nuan kala meda Tuhan Allah, tau ambi gambar iya lalu pos ba blog tu, awak ka orang meda magang. Enti nadai nya manah agi diau diri aja, anang ngelandik ka diri ngajar orang. beli nembiak tu.
Nya aja bakih.
Wai madi Arah,
Your God must be restless through the 7 day a week, non-stop working. He is tiredless. For the christians, God rest on Sunday to listen to their prayers. If God is non-stop working, He doesn’t have time to listen to our prayers.
Almighty Creator can have baby, son or sons if He wants to. He created Adam as his son. He could say a word and any woman would pregnant by the grace of God.
God did tell Mary that she would bear a child without acting with any man so meaning to say, the spirit of God become a baby in her womb and that was considered as her son with God. So, the child was the son of God.
Whatever it is in your mind, Jesus did call God as Father, his Father, his Abba. He and his Father are one. His Father is the only way to heaven and thus Jesus also ever said that he is the only way to heaven. This means he claimed himself the Father himself.
Allah can sleep, Allah can rest, Allah can fight the evils and has a son. He can become the son in order to make himself known to mankind or be a living sacrifice like Abraham’s attempt to sacrifice his only son.
I am not going to be cheated claiming that Jesus isn’t the son of God or being God himself. God is the only way to Heaven and thus Jesus also claim himself that he is also the only way to heaven. This means he is equall to God the Father.
Jesus did mention the three entities in the Trinity. God his Father id one Lord; Jesus is the Lord and the Holy Spirit comes from Heaven. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit which actuall the God or himself.
Now you agree with the Bible and believe unlike you were before. You want to ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ So, can you love the editor of Herald for using the term Allah? Many of you can’t, am I right. You see how frustrated is Mr Khir Toyo, not want to share god with the christians.
Now, you don’t want your god or Allah to rest at least one day in a week. You seem to want him to have a restless life. That’s so cruel, you know?

KONTROVERSI KEGUNAAAN KALIMAH “ALLAH”
By Dr. Mahathir Mohamad on January 5, 2010 10:00 AM
9. Tetapi dalam agama Kristian terdapat konsep “Trinity” yang mana terdapat “God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Ghost”.
Wallahua’lam
Arah,
Grow up. Please respect other religion. It’s look like you’re very stupid here.
Arah again,
If you do not want to believe in the Holy Bible, it is up to you. Nobody is forcing you to read the Bible. But don’t dispute what is written in the Bible openly especially in this blog. Many people will not like it. I don’t think it is wise for you to poke your nose where you don’t belong.
You can write your own version of the Bible or whatever and read it all by yourself, if you want to. No one will bother you.
That dentist can mourn forever for 1000 years, who cares.
Unggal arah, I don’t know which religion you’re belong to? But you have a very shallow knowledge about Christianity, I think it’s better for you to join our Sunday school classes.
“Confident people do not get confused” -said Marina Mahathir so don’t worry PAS there will be no confusion and abuse. Coz it is a sin for a Christian to abuse the name of God. It’s direct against the 2nd. Commandment of God of the Ten Commandments.
As for Khir Toyo, he only wanted to gain his popularity after all he, himself do not know his own religion well too. Let’s God be God and human be human don’t over step Him.
Don’t under estimate Him, for everything is possible for God, that why we call Him God.So let Him punish those who are wrong and bless those who are right. Amen
arah,
please let us in DB know if there be a sudden surge or ‘tsunami’ of Christians converting to Islam after your generous ‘exposure’ of the ‘fallacies’ of the Holy Bible. You should ‘go’ too,if you are not already a Muslim.
Arah,
Seek and you shall find. ask and you shall be given. knock and the door shall be opened. if you earnestly want to know the truth please look in the bible. If you don’t have one then just google. Look for John 8:19 & John 14:6-14.

NOW it is increasingly obvious and evident that it was a grave mistake for Sarawak and Sabah to partner Malaya to form Malaysia.
Unlike Singapore and Brunei, our forefathers did not have the foresight. If they did, they would have been mad to play the future of their children and grand-children into the scheming minds and unscrupulous hands of the Malayans.
The cunning Malayans scared our naive,semi-educated and trusting leaders with the “boogey-man”(Indonesia). “Join us or else…!!”,they might have said,as if to little children. Their greed eyes on our vast resources! And our trusting, unknowing leaders jumped onto the bandwagon, enroute to sufferings and regrets inherited by their children and grand-children to this day!
If indeed there was a real threat from Sukarno, surely there were better and familiar choices of action than to “sleep with a total stranger”! What about maintaining status quo: “sleep” with the familiar British ‘colonisers’ until we have the courage to “sleep” alone and stop being “afraid of the dark”.
Now we see what “sleeping with strangers” has put us in: DEEP SHIT!! It was indeed a grave mistake!

LATEST NEWS: Judiciary Website Hacked
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 7 – The Malaysian Judiciary’s website at http://www.makhamah.gov.my was hacked and defaced by parties as yet unknown, who left ominous threats related to the recent “Allah” judgment.
The hacker, who signed his handiwork with “TakeDown by Brainwash!”, left this message:
“Allah only restricted to Muslim only. Dont touch us as we don’t touch you. Unless …..”
“Mess with the best, die like the rest”.
There was a menacing postscript: p/s: To the court, Brain know you postponed it but if you wise enough then you should drop it.
By around 10.15pm, the site had been taken off line.
INFO
DB,
Its seem that Arah is child from ordinary Christian Family and converted into Islam to get his bachelor. That why he know little in Christian and more on Islam.
If the word Allah will be abolished in Malaysia Injil, then how about the use of Allah in Singapore Injil, Indonesia Injil, Timur-Timor Injil, Philippine Injil, Papua New Guniew Injil and the rest.
Anyway, I like BN exploiting this issue, demo against the court order. I eager to see Dayaklama and Dayakbaru joining them in demo. I can see the advantage to do so, especially in the next election.
All dayakbaru love peace. IGP gave assurance that no permit would be issued to those who wanted to protest by demonstration on `Allah` issue as it is likely to erupt a public disturbance. With that assurance we hope the police will act professionally according to the law to arrest those who breaks the law without fear or favour, no double standards.
Apoooooo………Amat manah meh IGP kitai nya wai. Puji Tuhan Allah, Apai ke besai kuasa ba serega din neh.
Amen.
I thought MJC,Deo and Arah should be happy that Mr.Toyol had voiced his anger and a PAS strongman has demanded that the word Allah be exclusively for Islam. In a way,it’s good that Muslims protest and when it comes to a point,WE SARAWAKIAN AND SABAHAN JUST GET OUT OF MALAYSIA.DON’T WANT TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH SEMENANJUNG!!!After that then,JJ and DL group will have their point, that DB is just messing in thin air talking about what happened in Semenanjung.Once a while, let JJ and DL win in DB.Kasih ga sida iya.
PS.MIP.NO.1,where are you? I want to hear your opinion.
Just my confusing thoughts!
May not be related:
Taib Mahmud must be more worried about upcoming state election. So much issues to handle.Imagine if Muslims in Sarawak demonstrates to protest over the court ruling, then Non-Muslims Sarawakian will have stronger conviction to overthrow the present UMNO-missile-guided Taib government.
Ha! Just a joke lah…
Malaysian church fire-bombed ahead of Muslim protests
By M. Jegathesan (AFP) – 2 hours ago
KUALA LUMPUR — A church in Malaysia has been fire-bombed in an attack that gutted its ground floor, church officials said Friday, escalating a dispute over the use of the word “Allah” by non-Muslims.
A fire department official said all stations were on alert for more blazes at religious buildings, ahead of planned nationwide protests Friday by Muslim groups angry over the use of the word as a translation for the Christian “God.”
The three-storey Metro Tabernacle church in suburban Kuala Lumpur was set ablaze in the attack which took place around midnight, said church leader Peter Yeow, 62.
“Witnesses saw four people smash the glass and throw incendiaries into the church building. They came on two motorcycles,” he told AFP at the scene as fire department forensic officers picked through the wreckage.
There were no casualties in the attack on the church, which occupies the corner lot of a row of shop houses and which Yeow said draws some 1,500 people weekly.
“The fire destroyed the administrative part of the church. We do not know if the prayer hall on the third floor suffered any damage,” he said, warning all other churches to “double their guard” against any attacks.
Anuar Harun, who headed the fire department operation, said that forensic experts were working with the police and a canine unit to probe the blaze.
“We are investigating the cause of fire. We cannot provide any more details. It is a sensitive issue,” he said when asked if it was a case of arson.
“We have asked all our fire stations to be on alert for such fires on religious premises,” he said.
The High Court last week ruled in favour of the Catholic “Herald” newspaper which has used “Allah” as a translation for “God” in its Malay-language section. The government has said the word should be used only by Muslims.
The ruling was suspended on Wednesday pending an appeal, after the government argued the decision could cause racial conflict in multicultural Malaysia, where Muslim Malays make up 60 percent of the population.
The security guard at the Metro Tabernacle church, 65-year-old V. Mariappan, said he had just walked away from the main entrance of the building to use the bathroom when the building erupted in flames.
“When I came back, there was a huge fire inside the church building. There was a few loud explosions like bombs exploding,” he said, adding he saw two motorcycle helmets lying on the road in flames.
Religion and language are sensitive issues in multiracial Malaysia, which experienced deadly race riots in 1969.
Until now I had always thought Tun M to be above and to be not indulge himself in such petty controversy over the term “Allah”. His explaination on the term only makes him after all trying to get a milage from the muslim community. In fact that he doesn’t need it any more. His daughter Marina is more a moden upright thinking woman, a person of a class far excellance when compared with Tun M himself. Such unfortunate thing.
It is quite correct though that court of law is not the place to deliberate on the word “Allah”. There is no precedence to follow or be a guide there. Our Federal Constitution provides for religious freedom but with Islam is the official religion. Based on the constitution as it is it does make sense that Islam has it all. And it follows that if Islam in Malaysia wants to usurp the word ” Allah” ultimately the highest level of Court in Malaysia will make that declaration. It has been said in the Chancery Lane’s legal jargon that “the length of justice is the length of the chancellor’s foot.” Ultimately when this matter comes up before Federal Court the decision will fall in line with the wants and wishes of the power that be which in this case is “Islam”. Even should it be referred to the Rulers their decision will be in favor of Islam as well. And for that reason it should not be even brought to court in the first place. And now that it is before the Court I would agree with Lim Kit Siang that the best way forward is to have an out of court settlement of the matter. There are many ways of doing it. One of is by consensus. And of course the best is by exercising tolerance on the part of everybody. After all everybody acknowledges there is “God”. If everyone that acknowledges Him, whatsoever name He is called by, pray to Him for guidance. I am sure Malaysia will be the better for it at the end of the day rather than trying to find which of the philosophy is the correct one for us in this trying time (which has even drawn our Tun M to come down to the street level to debate this undebatable “God”).

GOOD NEWS FOR BN GOONS ,
Datuk Salehuddin Hashim quit today as PKR secretary-general, following months of speculation surrounding his rift with some party leaders, including Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.
With that…..PR Selangor gomen will fall to BN before the end of this month.
For those of you who were supporters of the BN, it’s time for you for self reflection. First they take away your land. Now they even want to take away your god. After this you have nothing left to be called your own. All for a few packets of Maggie mee and zinc roofing?
God is love; Allah itu cinta. Destroying the house of God/Allah is the harshest kind of love that one could offer to God/Allah. Any person with a sound love for God will not disappoint God and won’t destroy his house of worship that were built by someone else. That’s a concept of Jesus – “Love thy neighbors”. For them, such effort is just like destroying the house of the devil. Are they considering others as devils?
KL CHURCH TORCHED—–Marked my words this blog either DJB or gkm2020 will sensationalize the followin happening next. They are good in this!!I can read thier mind!
A city church in the leafy Desa Melawati suburb was set on fire at midnight as police warned angry Muslim groups not to protest a controversial ruling allowing Catholic weekly Herald to use “Allah” in its national language section.
The attack on the Metro Tabernacle A/G, an Assemblies of God church in Jalan 4/4C Desa Melawati, completely gutted its administrative office on the ground floor. There were no reported injuries in the midnight attack.
Police have yet to identify the attackers and no one has claimed responsibility for the attack which could be related to anger over the Dec 31 court ruling. The judgment has been suspended pending government appeal.
According to an eyewitness who had just finished a drink at a coffeeshop located directly across the church, three or four persons on two motorcycles stopped in front of the church.
“They proceeded to break the glass panels on the ground floor before pouring some flammable liquid and setting off a fire,” said a statement issued by the church.
The church is housed in a three-storey shoplot with the office on the ground floor. Church officials have lodged a police report over the incident.
Earlier in the night, the judiciary website was defaced and later taken offline.
The Metro Tabernacle is not affiliated to the Roman Catholic Church which had challenged a 2007 order to stop using “Allah” to describe the Christian God in the Herald’s Bahasa Malaysia section.
The Herald is tightly circulated among the mainly Muslim country’s estimated 850,000 Catholics who worship in English, Mandarin, Tamil and Bahasa Malaysia.
The Roman Catholic Church had agreed not to object to suspend the judgment out of “national interests” as Muslim groups objected to the ruling and threatened to protest.
The groups have organised protests after Friday prayers at two mosques in Kuala Lumpur today despite police orders not to proceed.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and his cousin Home Minister Datuk Hishamuddin Hussein have backed the right to protest within mosque grounds to the chagrin of many who have been previously detained at opposition gatherings.
Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur police chief Mohamad Sabtu Osman said it was premature to link the attack on the church to the protests over the Allah ban.
”We are still investigating,” he told the Associated Press. He also urged Muslims not to participate in the planned protests, adding that police would be stationed at mosques to monitor the situation.
Police limit gatherings in public to five people and usually take tough action, including using tear gas and chemically-laced water from water cannons, to disperse protests.

From The Malaysian Insider: The “Allah” Protest-2 Faces of 1Malaysia (by Amer Hamzah):
JAN 8 — The Prime Minister and Home Minister are taken to task for their blatant, shameless political opportunism in allowing Muslim groups to protest at the Kampung Baru mosque over the High Court’s ruling of the use of the word “Allah” without applying for a police permit.
If we look up the definition of “hypocrisy” in the “1 Malaysia Dictionary”, one will undoubtedly find references to Umno, in particular the statement by Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein over a public demonstration planned by Muslim groups today at the Kampung Baru mosque over the High Court’s ruling of the use of the word “Allah” by non-Muslims (“the High Court decision”).
According to Bernama and The Malaysian Insider on Wednesday, the Home Minister announced that the Home Ministry will allow the said public demonstration to proceed. Yesterday, the Home Minister backtracked and said it was up to police to handle the matter. This raises the question of whether this minister knows what he is talking about, but let’s just pretend he does for the time being. We’re all doing it already anyway.
Then it was reported in Malaysiakini yesterday that the Malaysians’ saviour a.k.a. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said that the government cannot stop people from gathering at mosques today to protest against the High Court decision. The saviour then banked on hope, instead of his battalion of FRU trucks, police and Special Branch officers that used to regularly provoke, break up and brutally put down all those other non-BN gatherings, that there would be “minimal” protests today by Islamist protesters so that tensions in the country do not escalate. The saviour has expressed a desire that the matter be “resolved” through the courts, whatever that is supposed to mean.
“Resolution” by the saviour’s definition seems to mean an illusory win in the High Court (which will always be stayed by a court; hence “illusory”) before its decision is “rectified” by the Court of Appeal and then confirmed by the Federal Court. As someone who believes in human rights, freedom of assembly and free speech, I would ordinary agree with such a demonstration though I may disagree with their views. So long as the demonstration is peaceful and no animals are harmed in the process, it should be allowed to proceed even though there is no permit issued by the police for such a gathering pursuant to section 27(5) of the Police Act 1984.
However, what I find totally repulsive and unacceptable is the hypocrisy of the Prime Minister and Home Minister in giving preferential treatment to those who will be demonstrating today. It is not a secret that in the past when other organisations or political parties were having peaceful demonstrations or rallies over issues which are not agreeable with the powers that be, swift and brutal action would be taken against them. Protesters would be dragged, beaten (or, in some cases, “bitten”), kicked, humiliated and arrested in an abusive disrespectful manner before they were “persecuted” in court. In fact, often before the event the police would issue press statements that the organisers must apply for a permit failing which it would be an illegal assembly. That is why I find the hypocrisy so repulsive because the police have always stopped others from gathering; they have trucks, Special Branch, FRU, water cannons laced with chemicals, police officers, in short the entire machinery of state to prevent gatherings.
Let me to remind the government how they have treated Malaysians demonstrating over issues which the government found disagreeable. In 2007, we had the Bersih and Hindraf rallies. They were not given any preferential treatment. Instead, the government sent the Police Light Strike Force as the welcome party and FRU water cannons as their “door gift”. Then, on Dec 9, 2007, the Human Rights Day procession was disrupted by the usual battalion of police. Several participants (yours truly included) were arrested for merely participating in a peaceful procession to celebrate human rights and freedom of expression.
Those previous demonstrations and arrests received wide coverage. When the participants of these demonstrations were charged in court, the “illustrious” Attorney-General’issimo’ a.k.a. Public “Persecutor” of Malaysia himself appeared in court to proffer charges and oppose bail. We know he is a “small fry” who doesn’t have much to do but still! The whole idea was apparently to send a strong message to the public that the government of the day does not condone any form of peaceful demonstration.
Therefore, now that the Prime Minister and Home Minister seem to give the impression that the protestors should be allowed to demonstrate, I am unable to accept the hypocrisy of the government. Just because the protest relates to Malay and/or Muslim issues, they are shamelessly taking advantage of this by allowing them to assemble illegally (going by the previous reported police statements) and to try and show that they identify with them on the issues. In short, blatant, shameless political opportunism.
Welcome everybody.
Welcome to 2-Faced 1 Malaysia.
DB:
Look at how they handle the matter…always in double standard. How to change it?
1Malaysia is only for some ELITE Dayaks like KOW,JJ,DL MJC and VERY few others.
1 Exclusive Malaysia he he he !!!Right guys ?
At the end of the day, I hope the government will restore the church to its’ original design or even better after being destroyed by the extremists. Yes, the govt must ensure security of such buildings and streets.
If the extremists do more destruction of the church buildings, there will be bound to be lots of restoration need to be borne by the government. It’s fair enough for the govt to hold responsible for the action of its’ citizen for the sake of unity in 1Malaysan Concept. Am I right?
Hangat mingat isu ini diperkatakan.. Sedih Tuhan mendengarnya.. Menampakkan Keimanan seluruh umatnya lemah. Tidak ubah seperti zaman2 terdahulu. Semua warga dunia tahu Tuhan hanya satu.
memperkatakan seperti ‘Oh, Tuhan Allah aku lain , kamu punya lain, mereka punya lain..Kami punya Benar, Kamu punya Palsu!!.Syaitan selalu menang kerana manusia/kita kerana perkara sebeginilah. Ingatlah, Tuhan @ Allah tak pernah menyuruh ciptaanNya menganut satu agama saja. Kita semua adalah makhluk CiptaanNya.. Tidak dapat berdamaikah kita seperti KehendakNya???
Tuan arah,
Please forgive me if im wrong. Please allow me to put some arguments to your comments in the recent post. I copied these comments from a Malay Muslim editor which I represented as follows:
My simple argument is as follows. Muhammad’s father was named Abdullah. Abdullah means Servant of Allah — a combination of Abdul and Allah; so it becomes Abdul-Allah or Abdullah when joined together.
Now, logically, Abdullah was born before Prophet Muhammad was born since the father has to be born before the son can be born. In fact, Abdullah died before Muhammad was born and that was why the Prophet was raised by his grandfather, Muttalib, and later, when Muttalib died eight years later, by his uncle, Abu Talib.
Read Muhammad: From Birth to Marriage
Now, what does this tell you? Muhammad received his prophet-hood and was ‘converted’ to Islam long after Abdullah, the Servant of Allah, died. But Abdullah was not a Muslim. Abdullah was a Pagan. So, if Muhammad’s ‘Pagan’ father was named the Servant of Allah, that means Allah was a Pagan and not a Muslim God, so to speak.
How can Muslims (meaning Malays in particular) claim that Allah is a Muslim God and therefore the name belongs to only the Muslims? If you were to research the history of Muhammad further you will know that Muhammad and his cousin Ali (who later went on to become the Fourth Caliph) indulged in idol-worshiping and animal sacrifice to Pagan Gods in Taif, a town in the suburbs of Makkah, before the time of the Revelation.
That means Muhammad the son of Abdullah was a Pagan, as was his father, the Servant of Allah. But he carried the name ‘Muhammad the son of the Servant of Allah’ long before the Revelation when he ‘became’ a Muslim. How do the Muslims (meaning Malays) explain this if they say that Allah belongs to the Muslims? The word ‘Allah’ existed before the word ‘Muslim’ or ‘Islam’.
And refer to the press statement by ISNA, one of the most respected Islamic organisations in the entire world. (Read ISNA’s press release here). Even ISNA endorses the Malaysian court ruling that the word Allah is not the monopoly of the Muslims. ISNA has far better credibility that any Malaysian organisation whether it be JAKIM, JIM, ABIM, PERKIM, or whatever. In fact, all the Malaysian organisations combined do not even come close to ISNA.
That is all I want to say about the ‘Allah’ word controversy.
Whatever our comments are, just let the court decide on the matter.
Cheers,
John Hock
Malaysia is peaceful because other races are not as narrow-minded as the Muslims. I repeat, Mlaysia is peaceful because other Malaysians are tolerant not like the Muslims. We build churches without subsidies because our God is alive!
Arah is not only against Christianity but he doesn’t know what Islam is all about. A real Muslim like Salman Rushdie dares to criticise Islam because he knows something is wrong with Muslims everywhere. Look at the world now, wherever Muslims are found that part or region of the world will be in a chaos.
Don’t worry Christians, they can burn the churches but they can’t stop the POWER of God in us. They celebrate when a stupid Christian becomes a Muslim, but mind you the Muti of Perak has the statistics how many Muslims become Christians EVERYDAY!
Amen ! Amen! Amen !
Sometimes I wonder what types of HOLY BOOKS do people like Tengku Razaliegh , Marina Mahathir and RPK read that the majority of OTHERS do not ??

If a young Malay child were to read the pamphlets or Christian publications which referred to the Christian God as Allah, would the child not be confused?” asked Khir, alluding to the fact that the decision could possibly result in the Malay Muslims in the country being under siege.” – Dr.Toyol [...]

Dear John Hock,
You are absolutely right, the name Allah come together during the time of Prophet Adam and Prophet Muhammad was the seals( last) of all Prophet of Allah.
We Muslim believe in all the Prophets including Noah, Abraham and all the Prophets of the Israel including Moses, John the Baptist and Jesus.
We Muslim believe in the teaching of Moses and also the teaching of Jesus, to believe in One God not Trinity.
If you read my comments, I always quoted Jesus most important commandment to believe in Only Almighty God the Creator.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus_in_Islam
Can anyone provide any incident where Prophet Muhammad killed or even hurt any Christian?
It ok for some in this group to said I am stupid for not believing the bible, but I have to tell the truth because the teaching of Paul contradict with Jesus. Many of my Christian friend are following Jesus, believing in One God not Paul who believe in Trinity
http://www.justgivemethetruth.com/paul_was_a_deceiver.htm
Finally, Salman Rusdi is not a true Muslim because the “Satanic Verses” is against Christianity and Islam.
Cheers
Throughout history numerous prophets came to guide mankind and left. To cap it all,God sent down Lord Jesus Christ who taught mankind PEACE,HOPE and LOVE, and the true way to GOD’s heavenly kingdom.
There were also false prophets. But true prophets were gifts from the Almighty.
Prophets were judged by the results of their teachings,as trees were judged by their fruits.
The Muslims regard Jesus as ONE of the prophets, and claimed that Muhammad is the last of them all, insinuating that ‘the last means the best’.
As we judge the trees by their fruits, so we judge the followers of Muhammad. Could it be his teachings that lead his followers to burn churches and hate Christians and other non-Muslims? Or could it be that they disobey his teaching?
Wherever you find Muslims in this world, you find troubles and distructions. If we were to regard that only the Malaysian Muslims have strayed and are ‘disobedient’ to Muhammad’s teachings, but what about those in the other parts of the world who caused trouble and danger, deaths and destructions, hurt and heartache!? Could it be an ‘impossible’ coincidence,…or is it the teaching that is wrong!?

SAPA NUNU SURAU & GERIJA??????????????????
The glass sliding door of a surau at Taman Menara Maju, Kg Jawa, Klang near here was found broken at about 6am Saturday after a brick was hurled at the surau.
Besides the broken sliding door, there were also stains of liquid in the 13-year-old surau.
Klang OCPD, ACP Mohamad Mat Yusop, when contacted here, confirmed the incident but refuted the possibility that it was linked to the burning of several churches in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya yesterday.
Mohamad also said that the stain was not that of urine as had been claimed and said that further investigation was being carried out to determine what actually caused the stain.
“A local resident who was going to the surau for the ‘Subuh’ prayers told police that he saw a male suspect, who was not wearing a shirt, running toward a lane about 200 meters from the surau.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that there were several cans of hard drinks at the lane concerned and we believe the incident occurred because the man (suspect) was drunk,” he said.
Mohamad said police also believed that the incident was not committed by outsiders based on the fact that the brick used to break the sliding door was similar to the ones found in the surau compound.
ACTION SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS…so they say!
How not to label this blog (DB) as “racist Blog” and it members NOT “specialist Instigators” when:
DR. JBA, gkm2020, Cina Cantung, CI, Iban Abroad, Dyaks, KM,jojs, PE, LT, Ugly M’sia, MT, ChoacolArt, Pengayau, Cikgu Udah Pencen, and the like made a lot of “empty” and unnecessary noises when Church is under attacked.
The same group keep complete silent and pretend not to know or response when the Surau came under similar attacked?

My dear Telaga Kumang,
When we (Dayakbaru) are pushed to a corner by a certain RACE, we REACT and respond as a RACE,thus your wrong opinion of us.
How else do you expect us to react? The Malays are the ones who differentiate themselves from other races.
Semina orang gila aja ngerusak rumah endor kitai muji Tuhan. Aku Kristian tang aku enda berani nunu kuil tauka masjid laban Tuhan kitai ngasoh kitai rindu ka munsoh kitai enggau semua orang lalu kitai should not take revenge because that’s God’s role.
UMNO and PM are to be blamed because they are encouraging demonstrations : for popularity. Actually, they are against RUKUNEGARA which says kepercayaan kepada Tuhan and Tuhan can be called by whatever names suit the believers.
We should think of forming a Borneo Nation consisting of Kalimantan, Sabah, Swk and Brunei. The federal leaders have failed us many times including the word Allah. Now I am 58 and I always remember even my pagan grandpa was talking about Allah Taala when I was six years old.
I know why the Muslims are deadly worried because there are so many Muslims now who are Christians including……They have to defend Islam because if they don’t it will disappear soon. Christians don’t have to worry because our God defends Christianity. The Govt of Malaysia forced all the white men heading the churches in Malaysia to leave one time but the churches are now bigger and have more members. The Muslims now enjoy life because of Islam but Christians are flourishing because of the living God we worship.
So friends, worry not when you suffer because of Christ, one day you will be victorious.
My dear kuncitmuncit
Luke 6:44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers.”Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”
You can’t used this to conclude the negative things that you heard done by those themselves Muslim. they might be Muslim but are they following Al Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w?
Prophet Muhammad already reminded the muslim even in the last sermon.
The Last Sermon of Prophet Muhammad
“Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds.”
This sermon was delivered on the Ninth Day of Dhul Hijjah 10 A.H. in the ‘Uranah valley of Mount Arafat’ (in Mecca).
After praising, and thanking God he said:
“O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today.
O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. God has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. God has judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn ‘Abd’al Muttalib (Prophet’s uncle) shall henceforth be waived…
Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.
O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under God’s trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.
O People, listen to me in earnest, worship God, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.
All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.
Remember, one day you will appear before God and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.
O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Quran and my example, the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray.
All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O God, that I have conveyed your message to your people”.
My dear kuncitmuncit.
I believe and follow the teaching of Prophet Jesus but not teaching of Paul or Saul the Murderer and it is very unfair for me to blame Jesus for what have been done by the Christian those days.
Is it fair blame Jesus for the following:
http://www.christianaggression.org/item_display.php?type=ARTICLES&id=1137511050
Cheers
dear arah,
I was referring to CURRENT time. To NOWADAYS.
The article are mainly records of cases mostly on “Christian aggressions” that happened more than a millenium ago. Those were dark ages. Of uncivilized time.
But now,the Christians have emerged from it by leaps and bounds. They have been gradually enlightened and embraced and practicing the right and true teachings of our Lord Jesus.
It cant be denied, even by the most devout of Muslims that Christians are relatively one of the most righteous people in the world today.
And I construe from that article that even though Muhammad discouraged provoking any wrong towards the “non-believers” except in retaliation, he had differentiated them from his followers, bestowing the later as “God’s chosen people” and the “non-believers” as unworthy of God,or “kafir” or infidels. And that teaching has been handed down to his followers to this day.
I conclude that this very teaching IS the root cause of troubles between Muslims and followers of other faiths in the world. The Muslims just detest,(mengkeji) those who are non-Muslims. They believe that its their boundant duty to harm or rid the Earth of non-Muslims, and that God will reward them for it!
In Islam “all Muslims are brothers”. In Christianity “all Man are brothers”. Muhammad’s teaching as compared with Jesus’s.
So since in Islam “all Muslims are brothers”and in Christianity “all Man are brothers”, there is a reason why the muslims are selfish or greedy enough not to share the name Allah with them!!! Coz they were brothers among themselves only.
Which religion should I choose to believe in?
Choosing a religion. And why Dayaks go for Christianity.
Most people, at some time in their lives, would be curious about what is purpose of life other than mere survival and procreation.
For some, this curiosity develops into a personal void needing to be filled.
For many, searching the secular realm and science would not provide adequate answers to this question.
From the beginning of recorded civilization, spiritual theories have been used to explain the purpose of life, natural events, health, political power, death and the thereafter.
One of these theories is Judeo-Christianity. Its text is the Bible.
I will use the secular mathematical tool of chance and probabilities to test the reliability of the Bible.
If I predict correctly all four digits in a four–digit lottery, the likelihood of that occurring by chance is one in 10,000 because for each digit, the probability is one in ten. If I predict another four digits correctly, the likelihood of this event occurring by chance is one in 100,000,000. If I predict correctly another four digits, the probability of this occurring by chance is one in 1,000,000,000,000.
The correct prediction of a four-digit lottery three times in a row is extremely unlikely to occur by chance. It is more likely to have happened by design. This could happen if I control the process of selecting the winning numbers. This could happen if I have knowledge of the future (prescience). Where has this ability come from? One explanation is that it is from an omniscient intelligence.
I apply this argument to the prediction of future historical events. Predicting one specific historical event in the future is possible by guessing. Predicting many specific historical events in the future is very unlikely by guesswork. Predicting a series of specific historical events in a specific order is even more unlikely by guesswork.
From my reading of the Bible, the Qur’an and the Bhagavad Gita, I found that the Bible contained by far the most predictions of events recorded in secular history (click here) relative to the time of the initial writing of these texts.
The likelihood of these correct predictions occurring by chance is extremely remote. In other words, it would be almost impossible for the predictions to happen merely by coincidence. Hence it is more likely to have occurred by design.
I believe that the designer is a prescient intelligence possibly from outside the four dimensions that I exist in. I believe this prescient intelligence revealed the events of the future to various people called prophets who recorded their predictions. These predictions (prophecies) are compiled in a book called the Holy Bible.
I believe the Bible contains clues to the identity of this prescient intelligence. On re-examining the Bible I found many predictions about a man. These were fulfilled in one person called Jesus. (click here)
This is why I believe in Jesus.
My dear Dino

Tuan Arah, you are really silly to be so particular about such old records that are more than 2000 years old. No doubt such things had played an important role in the survival of the Isrealite world.
All male christians are sons of God coz Jesus had called God his Father. The disciples believed that Jesus is the son of God coz he could walk on the water and you think that it is a style of worshipping Jesus, so Jesus is od. Worshipping someone means one is God. Only god is worthy to be worshipped. If a human claims that he is god, he must be worshipped as God, you know.
After reading Arah’s comment, I concluded that he/she is well versed in the apologetics and there is little chance is that any of you guys be able to convince him/her. Anyway my stand is this…I am a Christian and my God is not Allah of the al Quran, God has reveal Himself in the form of Jesus…and continue to be with us in the form of the Holy Spirit till the end of times….I cant argue with arah cause I am not well train in that kind of arguments…but I know my God…which is enough for me…subsequently arah has his/her own stand..I have alot of muslim friends and I work among the muslims..they are nice people and we respects each other, I am not a learned person like arah who might read the Bible more than a christian…his classics arguments on the figures, Paul’s teaching and God’s inability to procreate just not jive with the churches being firebombed…I dread the day when lives are at stake….the issue is of whether the Minister can decline to issue the permit to the Catholic Herald which is for non muslim only and the malay version is permitted to use the word Allah, and to be distributed in Sabah
and Sarawak…
My advice to my christian brothers and sisters…continue to pray…forgive them and who knows by doing so more can be enlighten to the truth….to my friend arah…i salute you for your gift in apologetics…your pointers are good, anyway the Bible that I know are written by many writers over a period of times and inspired by the Spirit of God to keep me in His ways…and the Spirit gives life…for my catholic friends…trinity is the term used to describe the ways God show Himself in the Bible…not three god…bye for now.
I am not a Christian or Muslim and devoted in Buddha Teaching since childhood. In my primary school days, I was expose to this religion from standard one to standard six. When during Agama class we non muslim are given a choice to go to library or stay in class and most of the time I choose to stay in. During Agama lesson I would listen to their Teaching. My parents who also Bhuddist will send me to Sunday School to learn English. At Sunday School we were taught reading Bible and sing song’s praising the lord. Even exposing to all this different Religion it didn’t convert me to become Muslim or Christian. To me after all this year we from different religion have a kind of respect to each other that keep us in harmony all these years. Don’t fall into these trap set by certain group of people that have their own hidden agenda and motives. We all have our intelligence to choose. Still can remember during our younger days this issue is not an issue at all but this few year there are a lot of problem regarding religion, races crop up fan by some evil leader choose by us. Open our eyes….
Mr Dolblne Richard, in the end it will the battle between Arah and ME. I just want to see how far he will go with this debate. I know he is as stubborn as myself so I am going to be like himself too. No hard feeling against him but I want to share what I know with him.
Shalom to all of you. I’m so fed up when I read all the comments in any blog regarding the Allah issues. All comments were trying to SHOW OFF everybody’s FAITH.Most of them are….Meaning, kono-kono ALIM.To all my Christians friends, giving an explaination about our religion to our Muslims friends is Great. But just be ourselves. As in Christianity,we are taught to be humble. One of example in the Holy Bible itself said,”Dan apabila kamu berpuasa, janganlah muram mukamu seperti orang munafik.Mereka mengubah air mukanya, supaya orang melihat bahawa mereka sedang berpuasa. (Matius 6:16-18)..In this verses, giving a lot of meaning.Since, no body is perfect, only our Lord Father.
My dear Manang Empagau, CLK, Dino etc.
Don’t worry, who am I to convert you all, my duty is to tell the truth and I am being taught the following:
2:256 (Y. Ali) Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in Allah hath grasped the most trustworthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And Allah heareth and knoweth all things.
However let study and compare the bible and Al Quraan and always pray to Almighty God thew Creator to show us the TRUTH
2:2 (Y. Ali) This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah.
2:3 (Y. Ali) Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them;
2:4 (Y. Ali) And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter.
2:5 (Y. Ali) They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper.
2:6 (Y. Ali) As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe.
2:7 (Y. Ali) Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur).
2:8 (Y. Ali) Of the people there are some who say: “We believe in Allah and the Last Day;” but they do not (really) believe.
2:9 (Y. Ali) Fain would they deceive Allah and those who believe, but they only deceive themselves, and realise (it) not!
2:10 (Y. Ali) In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease: And grievous is the penalty they (incur), because they are false (to themselves).
2:11 (Y. Ali) When it is said to them: “Make not mischief on the earth,” they say: “Why, we only Want to make peace!”
2:12 (Y. Ali) Of a surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realise (it) not.
2:13 (Y. Ali) When it is said to them: “Believe as the others believe:” They say: “Shall we believe as the fools believe?” Nay, of a surety they are the fools, but they do not know.
2:14 (Y. Ali) When they meet those who believe, they say: “We believe;” but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say: “We are really with you: We (were) only jesting.”
2:15 (Y. Ali) Allah will throw back their mockery on them, and give them rope in their trespasses; so they will wander like blind ones (To and fro).
2:16 (Y. Ali) These are they who have bartered Guidance for error: But their traffic is profitless, and they have lost true direction,
2:17 (Y. Ali) Their similitude is that of a man who kindled a fire; when it lighted all around him, Allah took away their light and left them in utter darkness. So they could not see.
2:18 (Y. Ali) Deaf, dumb, and blind, they will not return (to the path).
2:19 (Y. Ali) Or (another similitude) is that of a rain-laden cloud from the sky: In it are zones of darkness, and thunder and lightning: They press their fingers in their ears to keep out the stunning thunder-clap, the while they are in terror of death. But Allah is ever round the rejecters of Faith!
2:20 (Y. Ali) The lightning all but snatches away their sight; every time the light (Helps) them, they walk therein, and when the darkness grows on them, they stand still. And if Allah willed, He could take away their faculty of hearing and seeing; for Allah hath power over all things.
2:21 (Y. Ali) O ye people! Adore your Guardian-Lord, who created you and those who came before you, that ye may have the chance to learn righteousness;
2:22 (Y. Ali) Who has made the earth your couch, and the heavens your canopy; and sent down rain from the heavens; and brought forth therewith Fruits for your sustenance; then set not up rivals unto Allah when ye know (the truth).
2:23 (Y. Ali) And if ye are in doubt as to what We have revealed from time to time to Our servant, then produce a Sura like thereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers (If there are any) besides Allah, if your (doubts) are true.
2:24 (Y. Ali) But if ye cannot- and of a surety ye cannot- then fear the Fire whose fuel is men and stones,- which is prepared for those who reject Faith.
2:25 (Y. Ali) But give glad tidings to those who believe and work righteousness, that their portion is Gardens, beneath which rivers flow. Every time they are fed with fruits therefrom, they say: “Why, this is what we were fed with before,” for they are given things in similitude; and they have therein companions pure (and holy); and they abide therein (for ever).
