Umno is hoping to get tens, if not hundreds of thousands of Muslims to demonstrate today in a display of popularity aimed against Pakatan Rakyat. The answer to that is politics. Religion is, unfortunately, something as mixed up with politics as is race. Political parties unabashedly use religion as a tool to win debates with Umno often accused of trying to ‘out-Islam’ PAS.

The other thing, perhaps, is that Umno is using this issue to win back the hearts of Malays. Why? Perhaps the general election is coming around the corner and what better way to divert the attention from all other matters (which has so far given them a negative reaction and created unity amongst the opposition). When a protestor wears a PAS, PKR or DAP T-shirt and protests; the police and FRU will come will come down hard on them using excessive force to cart them off to jail. When one wears an Umno T-shirt and involves himself in a violent protest (eg, the ‘cow head’ incident), the police will just stand by and will even assist them.
Umno, the next time, please get the police to hand out mineral water and nasi lemak to your protestors to ensure they are comfortable when they are running around stirring up trouble.

If it is okay and they will not/cannot stop these groups from staging the protests, does it mean it is also okay for some groups of Christians to gather at church on the coming Sunday and stage another protest against the stay order granted by the High Court?

Of course, I don’t think there are any Christian groups in West Malaysia who will fall into the trap to do this. It will be interesting to see if today’s protests will stir the emotion of the bumiputera Christians in East Malaysia, most of them who have been supporting BN all this while (that is, if the news will ever get published in their local papers at all).

The home minister has indirectly approved the gatherings today and now the PM has endorsed it by saying the government can’t do anything to stop them. A very good show of hypocrites at work. May Allah show you the rightful path to lead this good country.

Dr Mahathir Mohamad must be very happy now that Najib has taken a cue from him. Mahathir had told us that the ‘Allah’ issue could be resolved out of court and Muslims should flex their muscles.
The planned protest is muscle-flexing indeed. Najib has conveniently told us that the protests cannot be stopped. Possible reasons? That the police and other security forces are still having their New Year holidays and that they have run out of tear gas, water cannons, C4 and the like…?

UMNO has committed, what I would say, a political suicide, by not staying away and took a neutral stand on the issue. If they have stayed away and respect the courts decision and remain neutral throughout, they would have proven the 1Malaysia concept to be feasible.

I suppose DB should be very happy now that PM and BN gomen announced the allocation of Setengah Juta or RM500,000.00 for the reconstruction of house of worship at a new locality. Its proved once again that BN gomen is sensitive to the need of the people. SO how not to vote for BN in the coming state poll.
DL is now awaiting anouncement from PR or DSAI on how much they allocate for the reconstruction of the church, if any?.

Brick hurled at Taman Menara Maju surau
SHAH ALAM, Jan 10 — The glass sliding door of a surau at Taman Menara Maju, Kg Jawa, Klang near here was found broken at about 6am Saturday after a brick was hurled at the surau.
Besides the broken sliding door, there were also stains of liquid in the 13-year-old surau.
Klang OCPD, ACP Mohamad Mat Yusop, when contacted here, confirmed the incident but refuted the possibility that it was linked to the burning of several churches in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya yesterday.
Mohamad also said that the stain was not that of urine as had been claimed and said that further investigation was being carried out to determine what actually caused the stain.
“A local resident who was going to the surau for the ‘Subuh’ prayers told police that he saw a male suspect, who was not wearing a shirt, running toward a lane about 200 meters from the surau.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that there were several cans of hard drinks at the lane concerned and we believe the incident occurred because the man (suspect) was drunk,” he said.
Mohamad said police also believed that the incident was not committed by outsiders based on the fact that the brick used to break the sliding door was similar to the ones found in the surau compound.
In this context, he appealed to the people not to link the incident with the burning of the churches and hoped that the people would remain calm.

Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim refused to approve the church’s new building near Batu Caves.
So what DB has to say? BN gomen and private individual provide funds but Selangor PR gomen delay the approval.

Sigi bisi tuju sida nya ka ngenyati reta tengkira urang kristin ketegal ke enggai kunsi Petara. Baka ke jai amai ga roh ke diberi tuhan ke baka nya ga. Nyau baka roh ngenyati reta petara urang kristin ga nya.
Hairan melihat apa yang terjadi sekarang ini. Gara-gara tidak puas hati, gereja telah pun dibakar. Tidak kah mereka sedar rumah apa yang mereka bakar? Begini kah rupa Islam yang sebenarnya?
Apakah Malaysia ini hanya untuk orang Islam? Jika ia dimanakah letaknya tempat agama lain di Malaysia?

Pembakaran gereja dan kekecohan in berlaku disebabkan Datuk Hishamuddin dan Datuk Muyidin Yassin.Merekalah yang bertanggung jawab, tetapi sekarang mereka cuba menafikan kekecohan yang telah mereka timbulkan.
Sekarang lihatlah bertapa hina dan zahirnya ilmu agama mereka yang mebakar gereja. Bolehkah Kerajaan Malaysia menjatuhkan hukuman mati terhadap mereka yang membakar gereja?

Enggau orang kiroh besebut ke Malaysia tu mioh standard. Ko sida iya, nadai utai bisi 2/3 standards ba menoa kitai ditu, sigi siti aje.
Ko iya, peintah Bn endang endang kala nyiping bansa; tak sokong aje perintah BN.
Leboh pulai suba, tak tekenyit aku meda ba pasar Saratok nyau bisi traffic light. Sapa meri nya suba, YB Jelaing tauka Peter Nyarok?.

Kita tok pelaba aku bisi enda nemu membeza ni semut, ni Gajah???. Utai ke diberi mimit2 nya nadai nguntung ka bansa kitai nya wai!!! Duit hasil kitai ari Sarawak ambih dipakai sida LAUT di Semananjung kena ngagai infrastructure, highway, mega Projects..etc. Kita di Sarawak maioh agi bedau datai jalai, api, ai. Agi maioh diau ba babas, langkau umai!!! Ekonomi kitai Dayak enda tentu jauh mansang. Kitai maioh kena “exploit”, ‘Manipulte’ oleh perintah BN ti betuai ke sida LAUT. Makai tanah, makai Sawit, makai rumput, makai mensia…..We are talking about the real picture of what actually happens to the Dayaks. Not just talking about trivial matters. It’s about our sustainable future in the mainstrean of Malaysian Economy…get this matter straight ….bala kera, munsang, empeliau… ke enda cukup penemu ba Dunia Global baka ke diatu…Sorry for being so sarcastic!!
Cos… the Dayaks need to be disciplined first before they can really become a competitive player in politics, economy, education etc….
