Cabinet Committee Wants 10% (Ten Percent) Set Aside For Indian Contractors:
The Cabinet Committee on Indian Affairs has asked the government to reserve about 10 percent of work in government projects for Indian contractors.
Human Resources Minister Dr S Subramaniam who disclosed this today said a mechanism would be launched to implement it.
His ministry that acts as the secretariat for the cabinet committee would also continue to assist the Indian business community to face the era of globalization, he told reporters after officiating the 58th Annual Delegates Conference of Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MAICCI).
On the difficulty faced by the Indian business community in obtaining bank loans, he said the cabinet committee had discussed it with Bank Negara Malaysia.
“One proposal we made was among whatever allocations the banks have for a particular scheme, if they can reserve a certain amount for the Indian business community with conditions, it’ll be easier for them to apply,” he said.
He hoped a structure could be drawn up as fast as possible to formalize the proposal.
Venture into global market
Meanwhile, Subramaniam told the Indian business community to change their mindsets in the face of globalization and fully utilize the numerous Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) the government has entered into.
The Indian business community must focus more on the global market rather than local businesses, he said.
He said; many Indian businessmen were still limiting their business activities to the local market while they should utilize the FTAs such as those with Japan, Pakistan and New Zealand and regionally with China and Korea to expand their presence.
The Indian business community also can reap opportunities from Malaysia-India FTA, which is expected to be concluded by the end of this year.
Prime Minister Najib Razak will make an official visit to India from Jan 19 to 23 to broaden and deepen existing bilateral cooperation.
Subramaniam said the FTA with India would offer fantastic opportunities for Malaysian companies, especially the Indian entrepreneurs, to export into the giant Indian market. – Bernama

What does 1Malaysia Dayak Leadership means to you?
Could it means – “Aku dulu; Mengidup ka diri empu dulu” or “Rayat dulu; Pemansang No.1” or “Rayat bekuli dulu; Pemansang YB No.1”, so on. Just think about that for a moment.
We will never-ever ‘mansang’ if our leaders lead us all into selfishness, discrimination, marginalization, divided and left as “labor resources”.
Communication
The ability to communicate effectively is one of the most important aspect of ones personality. That is the reason that most of the successful people you will see around are good communicators. People with good communication skills do well in their careers, relationships and any other walk of life.
Not just our leaders, all of us need to build and maintain effective communication skill. If there’s no communication, there’s no ‘development’. When we can’t communicate, nobody can help us.

Dayaks Paramount Chief is now creating money making venture for our Dayaks farmers. With initiative from his ministry we can now venture into lucrative “Empurau” breeding business. Today “Ikan Empurau” sell up to RM400.00 per kg while a kg dish serve at ant top-notched restaurant could well go with RM1000.00 tag.
Those supporting the “Empurau” breeding project and also those pro-BN farmers will be given subsidy to the tune RM50,000 plus free fries.
Empurau for now, in no time will become history just like the KEPAYANG episode.
Anang deka bele bele deka nupi ikan empurau nya. Bisi agi ikan ke jauh lebih mar ari ikan nya. Uji kita nupi ikan emas nya laban rega iya pen baka emas ga tauka nupi jelu beruang laban iya mayuh duit.

SUSTAINABLE LONGHOUSE ECONOMY – PART 2 SCORE

DB must understand that in order for the country to afford a lot of subsidies the country must be rich. How? To generate a huge amount of ” FREE ” handouts like MRP, cheap medicines, scholarship,subsidize sugar,fuel,oil and etc the gomen have to explore the country natural resources like drilling oil,digging coal and now flood some parts of the unuse land in making the dam that can produce electricity to sustain the high demand of energy for the industries like SCORE.
Now the Gomen wants people to work and less politicking.It does not matter the indians, chinese,malays,ibans, kadazans or other monorities are rich because the more the rich are the more they can contribute to the gomen through the taxes. So DB open your mind and be positive.

The more reason for DB to rejoice as the NCR land issue (closed to their heart) got another boost when Yangdikasihi introduced yet a new land development scheme for NCR landowners.
The new land scheme is now being mulled to enable DB and NCR land owners to earn bigger income in line with the economy’s move toward high income economy.
Yangdikashi fear that the NCR landowners like CI, PE, IA, Pengayau, Pengajar Udan Pencen, LT, KM and the like would feel marginalised if nothing is done to move their economy forward.
With the introduction of the above land scheme Yangdikasihi hoped DB stopped instigating Dayak voters to go against the establishment.
Opposition DB are also encouraged to participate so that they will understand the concept better and work hand and hand with the BN gomen. DL has been tasked in ensuring that all land development participants to vote for BN candidate in the coming state poll.

The subsidy, whatever subsidy, is good, because this is the only way the rayat can spend “tax money.” I think the subsidy being awarded to “who-support-me” is myopic, a clear misuse of fund. Please don’t do this. You and your boss are “kepapas” to your own race. People will curse and hate him more.
Secondly I remember the subsidised “nanam kachang tanah” in the 70’s. The farmers brought the produce to the agriculture department – because they was no market.
Now is the empurau selling at RM400 per kilo. Tilapia sells at RM8 per kilo. To buy RM400 per kilo, you must be earning RM10K and above per month. I find buying cod and salmon, selling at RM70 and RM40 per kilo respectively, as a real burden too. So, what sort of market is targeted? As for me, I still buy Tilapia, patin and sometimes Kurau.
It’s good DL, but what actually is the (1) Target of this subsidy? (2) What is the objective, both short term and long term? (3) What is the time-line? More often than not, subsidy is to fill in the CV of the ministers. That I can say with confidence because after all the hundreds of subsidies, we are still dirt poor.
I am saying this not because you are BN – no. I would say the same thing if/when PR takes over Sarawak. If they abuse their privileges, I will ketuk them too. Please love your people, DL. Don’t hate them.

With the Dams to replace the oil in running the power house for electricity the charges would definitely be relatively lower. This is the time when you will not have a subsidize price of oil/gas when also cars on the roads are running on alternative power source like sun or perhaps water.We are not helpless here Doc as the rich are also compete with the poor to get the cheap subsidize fuel price and infact it was the businessman with big cars had voiced their dissatisfaction on when the gomen want to introduce the fuel pump price according to the car engine capacity.
We know that you are eying the next CM and if you stop with the subsidy your new gomen will not last to even a year. For sure this very DB members will be the first to demand you to resign.

You are aware that Sarawak oil and gas might last another 20-30 years. We have used up 46 years of the same source of income.
40% of Malaysia money for government to spend today is provided by oil and gas income.
For Sarawak, what we got from our depleting natural resources is minimal.The translation of our oil royalty to good infra -structure by the government is very poor.
Why is it poor? Is it due to poor planning or is it attributed to poor practices eg corruption and even daylight robberies of our state treasury by politicians.
SCORE – is a center for sustainable energy? Read my lips – it is a joke. It has benefits to the people of Sarawak but the biggest benefits are for the elite few.
If you read the news, the CMS, Naim, Hock Peng, Shing Yang are those who signed MoU with 1 Malaysia Bhd – who are these owners?
I do not see a Dayak company inside the list. The Dayak are the people who will be made a lesser value to the coal inside the earth surface.
Which industry will benefit from this coal – not Dayak farmers of course, the smelting plants of course with CMS as the partner.
Remember, Dayakbaru want development for the State but it must be inclusive and not exclusive.

You know very well,one of the main hurdle for Dayaks to progress economically is the lack of opportunity due to govt. red tapes and misinformation. Have you seen our Dayak YBs have a positive Vision for the Dayak since 47 years ago or after Sarawak merdeka in Malaysia. No, nothing at all. Show me,where is the prove. Nemu nuan penemu skeda ari Yang bahagia,yang berhomat kitai Dayak di-menua tu “Kapa nulong sida, ila pulai kitu ngelaban kitai sida iya” amai ke enda jaku sida iya munyi tu. Ba penemu aku,sigi amai laban aku merati ke olah pengawa di-keja sida nya betul2 nitih ke runding sida ke-jaku kepapas baka nya.

I am proud to be a part of Dayak Community.
As a new generation of Dayak, i am very dissapointed what have our Dayak leader done to us especially the BN.Everyday they are talking about this “pemansang” which never appear. They really dont know what is the meaning of “pemansang”.I know the “pemansang” only belong to them and their family. Not for all the Dayak community.For me, this old Dayak leader need to change with the new generation of Dayak. I am sure the Old Dayak Leaders like’s Jaboo, Masing and Mawan have no idea anymore for our future. They ever can stand at their own foot and the decission always make by the Old White Hair grand father.We know very well about what this all man have done to our Dayak community. He simply take what he want from the Dayak ppl. We have no more land,we have no more jungle, we have no more job ( now belong to malay & melanau ). Almost 80% of employee in any government department in Sarawak are malay & melanau.Where the Dayak?..If the Gov say that, the Dayak ppl less to apply gov job than the malay & melanau, prove it!!!!The Dayak ppl als qualified person and some of the Dayak are better than them.PLS NEW DAYAK GENERATION…WAKE UP…THIS LAND BELONG TO US AND MUST MANAGE BY US…GO AND REGESTER AS VOTER ASAP…THIS STATE NEED TO CHANGE…WE NEED NEW DAYAK LEADER FOR OUR FUTURE…

Yangdikashi fear that the NCR landowners like CI, PE, IA, Pengayau, Pengajar Udan Pencen, LT, KM and the like would feel marginalised if nothing is done to move their economy forward.
