I have never been to military college but i know some who went.
Najib says 30% for non Malays
This is what I called “racialist policy”. BN always said that they are fair to Malaysian. Till today, only about 5% of the students in RMC are non-Malay. The Malaysian people are correct to say that the government under UMNO is marginalizing other races – and uphold Ketuanan Melayu.
When will this change take effect and who will monitor this progress. This speech is just Najib’s propaganda in Juara Rakyat to try to win some vote back from moderate Malays and non- Malays.
Sarawak have never been appointed into a General position since forming Malaysia
There are few military officers from Sarawak who has performed well in their military service. Some earned themselves bravery award, PGB etc and these are smart experience people but they never got appointed to a General position. Colonel Dunstan Nyaring might be the highest rank that we have achieved and followed by a few Lt. Col.
Sarawak Officers and fighting men has contributed a lot to the security of Malaysia but the UMNO politics is blind to the minorities races of Sabah and Sarawak. Then the same UMNO leader would say that Sabah and Sarawak is BN political “Fixed Deposit”.
I think it is about time we end this “fixed deposit” syndrome with BN and move on to Pakatan Rakyat. The government has no thought for the Sabahan and sarawakian in this respect. The UMNO connected Malays took all the fat good job and the hard dirty job are left to second class citizen as unwittingly UMNO has designed such a classification of citizenship.
Civil Service
The government has been shouting the same thing for the civil service composition. It is good to hear but do you really think that the racialist Malay who has been through BTN and UMNO support the government call. As long as there is no monitoring of the progress to improve the civil service composition, it is just mere talk. it is time, we bring down such racialist government and replace it with another that is really multi-racial in composition and holding to multi- racila principles and value system.
Again as in Sarawak, no Sarawakian has been appointed to Permanent Secretary position in any Minsitry in the Federal government. Sabah and Sarawak feel that we are being made use of and colonize by UMNO Malaysia.
Conclusion
The road to 1 Malaysia is very far. We can always start somewhere but we must not based it on fishing for “vote”. we must be sincere to one another to make our country progress better. It is good to see that Pakatan Rakyat is developing itself into “Middle Malaysia” and UMNO and BN component parties are moving towards exclusive and extremist politics.
The youth of Malaysia seek justice, level playing field, transparency in government etc and if BN cannot stay relevant to the new voters expectation – it is not suprising. We see changes in Japan etc and the same thing will happen here. Why? those who want to hold onto power are the people who will refuse to change. They can talk but they never meant it.
We must not have quota anymore. Non-Malay felt threathened by such policies of for Malay only. This is our country and therefor we have equal responsiblity to defence and progress it.
Conclusion
Just wondering what happen to the missing jet engine. Hopefully those Sergent and Corporal are as powerful as the senior Officers in the Armed Forces to not enable them to abuse their power and cause equipment to disappear.

all my 6 uncles retired from the amry. after 21 years of service and a few a little bit longer ended up with a rank of corperal, sgt, warrant officer 2 & 1, captains and one mejar. it seems they are practising double standard in the army.
civil service, this too, Doc, i think you are right. in my department “opis welfare” the dayak are too few, their number can be counted by fingers. the malay & the melanau they made up, up to 89% of the total workforce, in opis welfare THROUGH OUT sarawak.
what to do then?
Malayan melayu domination all civil service in Sarawak and Sabah is nothing new! Simply the two borneo states are colonies of Malaya. Like the British before them we are once again being exploited and taken for granted. To add insults to injury we are termed as “fixed deposits” How derogatory! Look around you and you see them in general showing contempt to our native cultures and they expect us to respect theirs. 1Malaysia is a joke and is meant for the consumption of the garbage can. In reality, we natives of Sarawak though the majority are just “classless” bumi. On paper we just don’t stand a damned chance to make our way up the rank and file. Reason, they have profiled us as “bodoh”. Wake up we must. We just need to turn the clock around in the next election to win our fair share of the cake and nothing less!

This is UMNO politics of dividing the country into racial groups and in so doing they can impose their will on the other minority groups.
This “divide and rule” is to perpetuate UMNO power in the government disregarding the views and rights of other minority groups.
UMNO is not willing to share the riches of the country with others but themselves. Even, the opposition Malays are complaining.
Look at how UMNO classify the people into Muslims and Non-Muslims and into Malays and Non-Malays. These are all done to benefit the UMNO leaders and cronies. They will select a few non-Malays like Koh Tsu Koon, Alfred Jabu, Leo Moggie and On Tee Kiat to be with them just to show that they are also fair.
The whole group of present day leaders in BN government should be dumped and effect a Change in the Federal government.
What is fair to the Malay is that they should have 90% of everything, from filling the posts in the civil service to the military and the police, places in the universities and colleges, and opportunities in business. Now that is FAIR to them! Anything less than 90% is UNFAIR. Why? Because they are the KETUANAN MELAYU!
One doesn’t have to go to Malaya, to see for oneself how UNFAIR the government is. Just go to any gov’t departments in Sarawak, you’ll be greeted first by Malay security guards at the entrance, and in almost every section you’ll see Malay office boys clearing trays. If you sit down for an official discussion with the boss, it’s a Malay office attendant who’ll serve you coffee. After a while you can see a fat Malay lady dragging a huge plastic bag with which she collects rubbish from the rubbish baskets. Everywhere you look you’ll see a sea of Malay ladies in “tudung” and Malay male clerical staff. But if you happen to have a need to use the “loo”, then you’ll bump into “Lakia cha boh” who are employed by firms specializing in office cleaning work, doing this dirty work of cleaning the toilets which nobody else wants.
If the dept has an Enforcement Branch, you’ll see 95% of the officers are Malays. The gov’t vehicle drivers are also mostly Malays. Even the “tukang kebun” are also Malays. Now, that, my friend, is FAIR! When you tell this to our Dayak/Iban ministers or YBs, what’ll they tell you? Anang ngelaban perintah!
What about officers in the salary scale 41 and above? 95% of these are Malays, with only a few Dayaks/Ibans here and there. And you can count on the fingers of your two hands the number of Dayak/Iban in the salary scale of 52 and VU7, in the whole of the S’wak civil service. That is FAIR!
The Dayaks, especially the Ibans, are employed mostly in the construction industries, mainly as casual labourers, while the females are mostly in coffee shops as waitresses, and “kerja kilang”.

Yes Indeed what Doc is undeniably true. It needs no deep research. It plain and clear to us that the Ibans are not there, not in the govt civil service, not in the army either and basically the Ibans are left by the current govt led by YDK.
I wonder what do you see in your office?. There are not many Dayak Ibans as your colleagues. I am sure the majority are Malays and Melanau. So what has happened to the Ibans, KOW?.
DBs firmly believe that we have been purposefully marginalised. And marginalised we continue to be until the Ibans manage to get rid of people like YDK, Asing And Awan Apai Barbara and their conies like DL, Changop 4D, JJM, MJC,Anderson Melintang, Detective Deo and so on.

after giving much thoughts and looked back what were happened around especially to the dayak, how they were marginalised, oppress, mistreated, and etc. i come to realise what DB fighting for does make sense.
i may be late to realise these crucial issues, but it better than never.
may be it is due to my standard of education, well i just possed spmv grade 3 and lucky enough to secure a “kerani opis welfare” job.
as the case may be, i m not alone in the STATE OF IGNORANT,naive or even blind-folded, i believed vast majority of the dayak especially in the rural areas are at the same state as mine.
we are colour blinded by “wayang kulit” played by the BN with their two most infamous puppet masters and i think no need to name them.
Batulawi, MIP#1 & others explained or described these scenario quite well, in their owned selected words such as, “Dangling Carrot” & Monkey Ibans. when the puzzle come together it does give a clear picture and make sense.

There are so many imbalances happening in our country as we have discussed before. If you have been given more does not mean that you will be much better than the rest. In the context of Dayaks they have more land than the rest in Sarawak but only a few that can really see the potential to make themselves rich by acquiring this vast land, while most of the land was left idling.
The chinese are the backbone of the country economy and the indians are following suit with involving in bigger Indian delicious food franchises while the malays are involving in more SME’s and thriving for the prominent bankers and the DB’s not less in eyeing for the next state gomen. So this is all about equality in the country like Malaysia where there is no limits on who you want to be. Keep on dreaming DBs.

BN already give Dayak-Kadazan choice. We are not Malaysian and no place in Malaysia base on citizenship enforce in BN gomen form.
Base on this situation, Dayak-Kadazan are not entitle to vote for BN.
So next election, don’t elect BN or don’t go to vote as we are not a Malaysian citizen.

Nothing much to say or comment; the East Malaysia native quota have been fixed ever since Sabah/Sarawak joined the Federation of Malaya in 1963.
If you want to restructure the ‘fixed quota’, you’ll have to change the Government “ethnic democracy” and racist policy.
What is “ethnic democracy”?
Ethnic democracy is a political system that combines a structured ethnic dominance with democratic, political and civil rights for all.
1Malaysia – “Bumiputrasim”??
Since the early 1970s Malaysia has become an ethnic democracy, although democratic institutions are weak.
The system was reconstituted in the 1970s as an “Ethnic Democracy”.
Since the shift in regime, the state has been identified with the Malay majority.
It institutionalizes Malay dominance, Islam as a state religion and Malay as a state language.
Immigration and many other policies are designed to preserve a Malay majority as “special privilege” class citizens.
The recent much controversial “churches arson” incidents in relation to High Court ruling on “Allah” – Herald case. We all have read and seen much.
State preferential treatment of Malays in admission to the universities and state civil service and in certain economic ventures is instituted as a common policy. Also known as “Ketuanan Melayu” agenda as mooted by UMNO.
Restrictions are imposed on land acquisitions by non-Malays and many other issues.
Malaysia law practiced the “Rule of Bolehland Law”.

6.The non-core group is divided into more than one ethnic group.
7.The core ethnic nation has a sizable, supportive Diaspora.

9.There is international involvement.
10.Transition from a non-democratic ethnic state has taken place.
Conclusion
The “majority rule” is often described as a characteristic feature of democracy, but without responsible government or constitutional protections of individual liberties from democratic power it is possible for dissenting individuals to be oppressed by the “tyranny of the majority”.

Ngai shakap pasal college. The rich & the famous Ibans should have set up college(s) for our own race if they really care for the rakyat. Sad to say, even the rumah dayak also still not completed yet, take another decade for completion?
We always support our YB but what they have for the rakyat is empty promises that make the voters NGANTI & NGARAP for ages. Still we are loyal to them…sembah them like God….the more we submit to them the more they try to run away from the longhouse folks.
Other races have their own colleges….esp the chinese they have it in every division. What happen to us…still a question mark….happy to bodek the white Rajah…as long as getting a small spillage chunk of cake!
Our YB have no vision for the longhouse folks other than grab their NCR land for small commision from the JV companies. They purposely make the Ibans remain poor so that they can buy the Ibans’ votes with mee segera. They want the Ibans to live where they are so that they can use the TR to hold the nembiak in hostage….make sure they vote for BN….otherwise no pala babi, beer, atap zinc nothing much!
Our Iban YB are forever selfish if we dont completely change the whole bunk. We should plough them out till the roots and put them in the incinerator once and for all. Get the new blood to replace them in the coming GE…but we must work hard in order to achieve our dream.
This DB do not even know what the title “YB” means. Can anyone out there in DB knows what it means by “YB”? OK not to waste time for you to ask DBP to find the meaning, let i tell you that YB means Yang Berhormat, or The honourable and did DB call their servant my honourable servant?
If YB are the servants their title should be Yang Berhidmat but they are not being call that way because they are not servant. Or in Iban language Ti Dipebasaka Datuk Seri so and so or Encik so..and so and that was why we have to line up to greet our Yb’s and slaughter chicken or pig as show of total submission and loyalty. Loyalty means keep on voting for him.
It’s is not easy to ask the YB’s to come to your home unless you are rich as the rich only socialise with the rich. You get it DB?
