Can we consider to collect some money to help “nembiak” of Rh. Nor Ak Nyawai. They have no roof over their head, no water for cooking and most likely very little food as there is no place to store. Please read the details of the destruction provided by TAHABAS President. It is just not another demolition. The authorities really come with the intention to destroy their life.

Land And Survey: We are carrying out our duty
The land and survey department insisted they were merely discharging a court order while Tahabas president insisted that the problem arrived from overlapping mistake.
Superintendent of Land and Survey Bintulu, Haji Ajmaen Haji Superi told Sarawak Update: “We are only carrying out our duty. The court has made its decision. The court have communicated to the lawyer, and it is the lawyer duty to inform their clients that they lost the case,” he explained, adding that failure to vacate the land is contempt of court. Let us listen to both side of the story
TAHABAS president in his widely circulated email, was telling otherwise.
To be fair, we are publishing both Land and Survey statement and Tahabas statement, for the readers to understand.
The court have decided that the land is State Land while TAHABAS insisted that it was the residents ownership despite the court decision.
However, ironically three days have lapse but the affected resident lawyer choose to keep mum and is not replying to our email seeking clarification.
It was not immediately known the affected resident lawyers who happened to be PKR Sarawak leaders are staying away from ICT technology due to Dr Rais Yatim advisory against twitter and FB.
Attached below are unedited email circulated by TAHABAS.
PHYSICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL SUFFERING IS THE RESULT OF DEMOLITION
1. What say you when you see this kind of situation before your eyes? Do you feel happy…….? Do you feel angry….? Do you feel sad…? This is what happen to the peoples of rumah Nor ak Nyawai whose 25 individual houses on their own land were cruelly destroyed and demolished by the Land & Survey enforcement of Sarawak with the protection of the country’s Army personnel and policemen. They got the eviction order from the court after the company(Tatau Land Sdn Bhd) managed to apply for the repossession of the said Lot 16 Block 3 Sangan Land District Ulu Tatau. The application for execution no 38-01-2009(BTU).
Demolition without notice – (are we in living in a lawless country)
2. This could be an overlapping mistake on the ground that could be very confusing as this Lot 16 is part of the longhouse’s territorial domain of Tr. Nor ak Nyawai which was ealier recognized by the High Court. The counsel for Tr. Nor, Mr. Baru Bian had said that he has filed an appeal and suing the company afresh. Unfortunately the eviction still went on. So this is another matter for us to reflect upon. The demolition took place without any prior notice given to the landowners. Nothing can be saved by the house owners.
It is rainy season – where will they find shelter?
3. By looking at the pictures you can judge for yourselves what is happening on the ground right now. Firstly, they have lost 25 houses and their properties within. As this is raining season where do they put up during the night? These longhouse folks built their houses on their on land because they cannot live in their longhouse as there is no access road to the longhouse.

Secondly, the enforcement personnel did not only demolish the houses but they smashed them into pieces. This means that all their belongings like cooking pots, kettles, plates & spoons and many more things are no more there to be used. How would they eat? Their water tanks were also smashed up. They depend on rain water for cooking and bathing.
Thirdly they are left with nothing right now. They have nothing to eat, no one helping them, no authority come to their aids and many more unneccesary problems caused by the demolition. Now they are living in fear cum anger because these monsters might come again these few days

Donations only temporarily relieve the affected folks. The moment you put your money into the donation drive, YB Ibans start laughing again….clean their hands. See…they say…I dont have to think much…the sympathizers will come forward and help the folks….election time we (YB) befriend their TR….give him perhaps the brand new 4WD…that will force him (TR Nor) to support the gomen openly. That same person we help now will bad mouth the opposition as instigators…will accuse the opposition poisons the folks with their propaganda.
Secondly, whatever cruel deeds the gomen done to Ibans…..our Iban YB try to distance themselves from the issue if we continue to act the same thing over again: rumah disungkur…rayat biasa meri bantu…perintah BN ketawa lepas kaki-jari..sampai bila kitai rayat biasa bertahan?
How not to let go the gomen for their cruelty to the Ibans? We use the victims as sacrifice to safeguard our future generation from further intimidated by BN. Perhaps God have chosen them for that purpose?? Very simple, we dont ask the victims to become suicide bombers but only request them in full force:
1.To ask for food from all YBs, TYT, Sultan, PM and the towkays.
2. Ask them walk to each & everyone of YB’s residence….
3. Walk to all big supermarkets ask for food….
4. Walk to the hotels ask the mgt to give them shelter…
5. Go to the petrol stations and refill their cars/ outboard engines if they need to travel by road or river
6. Go to MAS & AirAsia office for free flight to visit YB residence in KL, Kuching…anywhere they are.
7. If the police stop them from doing it…walk to all police officers anywhere they can find them..in the office or their house for assistance
If the donation is for Iban Militancy Training I will be the 1st one to come forward and make my donation pledge RM500 every month until the mission accomplish! Dont ask the money from me if for temporary helping them….Uban & Jabu only laugh at you guys…Perintah BN sepatut nulong rayat ngaga rumah ukai ngasuh ngerubuh….now they destroyed it with our tax money and they also expect us to help the victims with our hard earned money…they only create the trouble one after another….we could not become the saviour forever…we should change the tactic from BUYAN & PALOI to offensive only then the gomen STOPs create the trouble!

This donation drive is good and the planned visit to the site is even better.Heartbreaking to watch, harder still for the victims to bear it, as they say.
Reading the TAHABAS post in Sarawak Update, one can’t help but emphathise with the 25 affected families.
The event unfolding here, is beyond politics. Think about it.
If bulldozers were to come to your bungalow, terrace house, Semi D or Detach house, in the city, and knock it down and everything with it – just like the earthquake in Haiti, how would you feel ?
The 25 houses may actually be langkaus, but thats probably all they have got, to house their family – and to them; the langkau would have the sanctity equivalent of your bungalau, or church or surau, for that matter.
So,its beyond politic and beyond legalese. People’s lives have been cruelly trampled on without the least bit sign of humanity by the key players:
- The Superintendent of Land and Survey Department would hide behind the court order, and would not acknowledge that the cruelty is similar to the Israel’s demolishing of Palestinian house.
- The Judge in the court of law would say that the State Land Law, as written – would not recognise legal land ownership for people who have lived and stayed on the land for generations, therefore the Judge too, slept well on the night after the Government appeal was granted
- The Army and Police personnel were sent in full force, to enforce the Law – and to merely doing their work, even as their work involves breaking rice pots and baby bottles of the poor
- The lawyers for the victims would have their hands tied behind their back due to procedural issue, and that they have done all they could for the client
- The government of the day see nothing wrong in breaking down their citizen humble abbot, for they have been held in contempt of the court through a legal process
- The mass media would prefer to publish other news as the picture of poor Dayak men in tattered clothes and with tattoos on their backs and forearm – standing beside a wreck langkau, would not make a nice photo ambience, along-side the similing YBs and opposite picture of film stars cavorting in their fine clothes
- Tatau Land – would considered that they have acted in the commercial interest of their shareholder, to use the law to evict the occupants of the “state” land, that the government had alienated to them
When such an issue as this, affects members of a civilized society, people would not lie down and play dead. People would render help and then demand accounting of the process that had led to this event – without expecting votes or undivided loyalty for life.
The victims do not deserve what had befall them, no matter what the circumstance were. It is cruel and inhumane. And for that reason, the act is beyond everything – politic, law, religion, culture.
And as Dayak aspire to become civilize like other society, I would imagine their sense of right and wrong would dictate them to rise to the occasion and do the right thing. Help.
Thats why I will donate to this cause. I have no execuse, not to help. Of course this event would affect my voting pattern (especially if the anger would be proven to have been well-placed), and which political party I would support in the next general election. But thats a less urgent matter, compare to the suffering of these folks.

Tu meh chara perintah BN ke betuai ke YDK & Buban ngalah ke bansa Dayak Iban. Sida semina nyintak siko Tuai Rumah aje, lalu Tr endang dipejal enda ngasoh iya enggau bala anembiak iya ngelaban perintah Buban.
