PBB Convention
Th PBB Ministers and its Supreme Council member wanted to discuss the “land development” with greater depth in today’s convention. To me this is frightening – does it mean that the government have not thought through ALL the issues that may arise from the new land development concept. PBB nad BN Ministers even state that “land issues” are dead issues – nothing to talk about. Is PBB trying to wake up a dead horse in this case or is PBB admitting that there are mistakes in this concept and that the people are not agreeing with the government.
New land Development Concept
Awang Tengah blame it on the big “gap” on the understanding between the government and the people on new land development concept. I think that is not the excuse. Initially most people do not bother with the new land development concept because the people think that the government will not grab their land – they believed that the land belong to them according to the ADAT of natives of Borneo. The politicians has different ideas as they are looking for new sources for their personal wealth as timber is done with now.
BN Politicians are given dayak NCR land as reward for their support
Many politicians own plantation land that include NCR land. Is that the PRIZE that Taib gives them for being loyal and dumb in BN? The Simunjan YB is well known to have much plantation land – where did he got it from? It is known to us as BN ” Politics Munoh Rakyat”.Perintah enda patut ngelakar kitai rakyat ( The government will not cheat us rakyat)
That is what has been said to me by more elderly folks in the long house. Now, when their long house was bull dozed by the government and supervised by Land and Survey Department, they say ” amat jai perintah tu – kitai rakyat pen di bunuh sida”. In the lietral sense, where can they build their new long house as there are never given land title. There are policies that allow the District Office / resident / YB to support their application for land title for their long house. Shamefully enough, the whole process is being politicize by BN.
This land title is not given as a rights but selectively – to those long houses that supported the government. What does that mean? It is unfair, unjust, not transparent and political victimization of the voters by the BN government. We cannot continue to support a government with such attitude and practices.
Discussion on land matters is behind close door
A few seminar on land development issues has been organized by the government. Most of the time the seminar is open to invited guests only. Community leaders and selected “yes men” tuai rumah were invited. Other Tuai Rumah who has suffered land grab were excluded. Participants were closely watch – if such is the case, the government only want to hear things that they want to hear. Does that solve the problem?
If that approach has managed to solve the problem then PBB need not be discussing the issues.
The government destroy evidence of Dayak “surat pindah”.
During the Brookes and British rule, the Dayak seek permission to “pindah” from one location to the next. The British gave them the boundaries along side earlier settlers. The BN government of today refused to recognized such document. If such document is not recognized that the people of Sarawak has not standing or rights over their land. No wonder, BN politicians are laughing to the bank after being given the provisional lease which they sell to the investors.
The government rob the Dayak of their land and sell them to the rich. If that is not the case then why is the government refusing to recognize such document and destroying such record from State Archives, District offices and land and Survey offices?
Heritage mapping
Global Positioning Survey is todays’ technology. The native try to prove their ownership of their land through heritage mapping – their graveyards, their blacksmith sheds, their jungle path, their “tembawai”, pulau buah, pulau galau, etc. All these are not accepted by the BN government. The government want to recognize aerial photography evidence taken in 1958.
Meaning – the population of Dayak also stop growing from 1958 onward? Where is that photograph, who took it and is that aerial photograph accurate its detail.
All I can say is – the BN government used such flimsy excuse that “Dayak idle land is not productive”. That is a relative statement because it depends on the capability and economics capacity for the farmers to develop their own land. Today as the children of farmers started to attain education and accumulate saving they would be able to invest. It is grossly wrong for BN Government to take advantage of the people who voted for them by taking away their land using law that is design to extinguish Dayak rights over their land. That is killing the Dayak people because you cannot separate the Dayak life from their land.
Conclusion
No Dayak has been made rich from JV plantation projects today. Those Dayak that managed to plant small holding are getting much more disposable income and saving for reinvestment. The government should support Dayak effort to plant small holding on palm oil and not deprived the Dayak of their land.
We Dayakbaru is dead against “Peintah munoh Rakyat” policies and practices. BN is a government that kill the people by grabbing their land using “bad and unjust law”.
I am happy to note that the Court is not influence by the greedy politicians in BN government by returning judgment that recognized Dayak land rights.
Dayakbaru – even deep sea fishing license is given to BN cronies. The fishermen are also in trouble now as they are not allow to go beyond certain limit. There is less fish close to shore.
Taib control over the business opportunities in Sarawak is so complete that his interest range from timber, plantation, dam, mining, Federal projects, most of the State projects, rubbish and even grass cutting. We have a monster as our leader – and may his future be remembered as Mugabe.

Any JV Oil Palm scheme maybe able to give no more than 10% of the profit and that’s very artificially fixed. I could still recall one announcement made by our beloved YB a few years ago about giving dividen RM400millions accumulated for 20 years something to 18,000 participants. Apin dipedua, sigi amat mayuh nya dipeda mata, akih. And do you know how much did each of them get? RM400,000,000.00/18,000 persons/20years/12months = RM92.60/head only. Whereby, someone who venture alone planting 500 palms could earn up to RM1,500/mth in net profit.
Amat semat amat landik ga sida Awang nya main selingkot neh. Nyau sida kompeni ga disalah ke iya pasal nyungkor tanah NCR nya. Dipeda rayat sigi kompeni nya meh ke jai akal amai. Neh, ukai nya dalam pemikiran rayat dayak dulu din deh!

In Suai, Niah…Sime Darby profited from the NCR lands of the Dayaks. We just watched hoplessly, the Tycoons as fars as Saudi Arabia, Tabung Haji, Felda, Felcra, LCDA, Masranti, WFM etc…gaining profits from us Dayaks.
Years to come we will be chased out, colonised by these Arabs.
Sadly, we Dayak are not rich enough to develop our own lands.

I would not simply waste my RM20.oo money to pay for the nomination paper. I would rather use it to feed my stomach and/or for charitable purposes. Why? I let you guess….
I don’t have to be a candidate because I can nominate a candidate.
I don’t have to be a candidate because I can vote my own favorite candidate.
I don’t have to be a candidate because I am in favor in upholding our ‘native indigenous rights’.

For BN AK47 (AK – Akta Kanun) is more than rhetoric and history now and I’m among the rakyat who have seen much of all these; now is time to kick that BN AK47 (Internal Security Act Sec 47, Article 47 of the Constitution of the State of Sarawak and Land (Classification) Ordinance of Sarawak 1948, Sec 47) out for good! Enough of 47 years of pain and suffering too.
Malaysia have some laws that many consider unjust and some of these laws are draconian; we know through BN lies and painful experience that freedom is never voluntarily given by the government, where is our 18/20-points agreement? Why Allah allow in East Malaysia and not in the West? And the much more…..

You know my friends, there comes a time when people get tired of being trampled by the iron feet of oppression, marginalization, racial discrimination, systematic islamization starting in the ‘ulu and underserved areas’, religious and political extremism, cronyism and nepotism, and so on….by whose doings and wrong doings? I guess we all have the answer and we shall answer unjust and unlawful policies makers with our VOTE!
If these BN goons can’t respect the rights of the people and/or our native indigenous rights and the double standard constitution then it about time we have to make the Change with our VOTE!
An unjust law is itself a species of violence. The best way to get a bad law repealed is to enforce it strictly.
If an unjust law forces people to evacuate the longhouse because it has been categorize as such then it a bad law.

This is very bias reporting and wild accusation against the gomen. Gomen had to build hospital, schools, agriculture research centre sometimes on NCR land and gomen had to pay the land owner and though this facility are given free. Where it had in any way bring any disaster and kill the people? If they still die in the hospital despite being given full medical attention, you can’t help but never blame the hospital eventhough it’s build on NCR land.
Development will not kill the people but without proper development more people would be killed. With the availability of roads link to the remote areas more lives had been save as they can be rushed immediately to seek medical attention. Let me repeat it one more time, there no way the Dayaks will agree with this DBs that development will kill the people.

If that is being so, PBB is also being monopolised by Taib`s family, his son Sulaiman, his brother Mohd Ali and his relatives. So Dayak members in PBB if you feel that you have been issued as tools all this while, it is time to leave PBB and join PKR.

Please allow come up with an another friendly advice as well in that the Ibans are going to sink deeper and faster by joining YDK and CM of Sarawak, through their Politics of Development Land policy. Politics of Development has direct effects on the Ibans as it is being carried by the BN government in Sarawak. The locals are always receiving the wrong end of the deal.
By supporting politics of development means the Ibans are slowly denied of their rights through well-planned efforts to rid us from our native rights.
DBs shall never support the government policy of ‘Perintah Munoh rakyat”.
In fact, Politics Of Development is going to have far much worse ramifications than the sinking PKR, if it is true.

The Talibaruts for the dacing …will work very hard to convince the rural voters to vote for BN and support the agenda of aki Uban and aki Jayboo a/l Numpang for another term of tenure in office. It is likely be their last stand before submission to the kingdom of no return.

I guess it is only you people who say that the reporting is of being bias. The issues mentabove are some of the truths of what is going on in Sarawak political scene. The truths hurt! Thus, when we discuss about the extent marginalisation of the Ibans by the present government,those who actually carry out the roles to marginalise the Ibans will surely claim that the reporting is not true. Of course, they will deny.
However, general facts on the groung do indicate that the Ibans have indeed been marginalised. Thus, the accusation is not wild.

It is the duties of the government to build all those facilities, infrastructure and so forth. r all, the BN government repeatedly claims that they are the only party to be selected for infrastructural development, improved economy, better education system and so on.
Dbs do understand that at times the government does have to carry out development on NCR lands perhaps due to cost effectiveness consideration.
However, DL, it is undeniably true that a RM2.00 company established by a few individual political figures working together to acquire NCR lands with minimal market value compensation. Soon after that, these lands will be sold to the government at stubbornly high price as they have now been changed to mixed zone.
To us, this is aa act of plain cheat on the NCR land owners. DL, perhaps you may look at this YB Nurdin Mat Jais from Simunjan. He is now a multi-millionaire bloke, courtesy of Ibans’ generosity.

Yes, it is true the government does make compensation but it is always minimal. It is so low that at times, the apyment could be considered as a free gift to the government comparing with the benefits reaped by the proxy companies constructing the projects thereon.The directors of these companies are mostly associated with some YBs.

Of course these facilities are not killing instantly today. Over a longer period,then we could see there will be a disaster especially from Iban points of view. The Ibans are lamenting what could have been their golden opportunity for them to make substantial progress through their NCR land,is now lost to another part who latter could easily make millions of worth of wealth overnight.
So, this is a kind of policy that is a disater for the Ibans.It is killing us but helping the BN cronies like you, DL.

Nobody would question a natural death as it is a Godly intervention. DBs are more concerned with the deathly impact of human policies used to expolit the Ibans for their self interests. DBs observe that the policies introduced by the state government are unkindly towards the Ibans. If this kind of policies is not contented in the short terms, the Ibans are certainlt given a deathblow.
Hence, this is a kind of death that DBs wist to highlight in our discussion.

Again ,DL, we are not talking about the killing through manslughter. We are particularly interested to talk about the development that has deprived the Ibans of their wealth; the benefits that could have been their provided the government is really sincere in helping the Ibans.
There has been an example of development which rsulted in human life in Ulu Niah a few years ago though.

You can repeat as often as possible but DBs are not having a narrow meaning of the word KILLING. For us, killing does not necessarily mean someone will have to shed some blood.
In conclusion, Dbs are not making any wild accusations. We are only highlighting the Iban land issues and other general issues for discussion. Presently,the Sarawak government land policies could appropriately be called as “Perintah Munoh Rakyat” instead of Politics of Development.

Manah amat berita dek Igat Kuli Salcra. Peda aku baka ke ukai kuli SALCRA ga nuan tu. Nuan tu meh pengusaha individu yang patut nyadi contoh kitai dayak iban ke bisi tanah NCR. Kapa ka burok, semina makai tindok nganti komisin datai ari pengawa beladang ke JV nya! Komisin JV nya kurang ari 10% untung JV tang enti nanam kadiri baka enggi nuan nya, huh….peda meh asil iya. Chukup manah. Aku sigi enda setuju amat ke tanah aku kena JV laban tanah nyau kena gam 60 taun. Ni nemu sida anak uchu aku bisi modal alu ka ngaga kadiri ladang. Tambah meh, bala temurun aku nyau nadai kuasa ba tanah nya enti dipinjau sida JV nya 60 taun. Betul penemu nya kini?
Pasal munoh nya, semina sida kerook aja sanggup ka munoh. Tang kitai mensia ke bekuasa tauka nadai bekuasa sigi rindu ka noture (torture) pangan diri. Politik sigi enda munoh tang ka ngaduka pendiau rayat lebih manah. Kena ngaduka pendiau ke manah, sida sanggup ngeruboh rumah rayat ke ngachau pembangunan ba tanah ke dambu dempu perintah. Peda kitai pemanah perintah deka ngaduka rumah Nyawin. Sida ruboh iya; udah nya sida meri sida nya pendiau ke baru ga. Baka nya ga tanah NCR ke kena sungkor, kena ambi sida kompeni ladang. Tambah meh, bala temurun aku nyau nadai kuasa ba tanah nya enti dipinjau sida JV nya 60 taun. Betul penemu nya kini?

Sigi amat ko nuan nya aki. Aku tuk nyadi kuli salcra. Makai meh gaji 12 hinggit sari ipak pemeri sida Tukey Jabu. Gawa stat jam lapan pulai pukul 2 meh. Lepas pulai, begegat mega gawa ka kebun diri empu. Enti bisi tiap2 lemai ngambi 2, 3 jam pama meh. Aku sekula ukai enda pandai. Ko jaku urang, kapa palik result SPM nembiak sari tok. Degree 7, 8 tingkat, bahasa ribai ngelantak kening enda nemu. Tang nadai daya kaban, udah puas minta kereja pehintah enda ga bulih.Nyepi umur nyau udah baka ari ka lemai, nyau badu ga enggau urang ngeruh ka ai. Laban kitai nadai megai ulu, pedih meh kitai kaban. Bala ngot, taja nya makai dadah, nginsap gam, mat rempit nya pan ulih bulih kereja pehintah baka aku ka interview bomba suba, sida sempat nyedut gam tebing dinding sebedau masuk interview. Nama sida ka nyadi sampah nya diambi mega?.
Nampung ka jaku nuan nya JV enggau kompeni 60 taun nya kaban anang sekali-kali masuk. Ukai apa, uji peda kes ka nyadi enggau sida peserta FELDA ba semenanjung nyin. Nyau carut sida.
