The Prime Ministers visited Sarawak quite frequent compared to earlier Prime Minister. The last time he came he announced RM$3.4 billion allocation for Sarawak. He also announced additional RM$2.8 million on top of the RM$4 million announced a year ago for the DBNA building fund.
The BN parties gloat and boasted about the announcement as a reflection of Federal Government commitment to help develop Sarawak.
Earlier on, in 2008 after the March 8 election where Sabah and Sarawak kept the BN in power in KL, Hisham announced RM$1 billion in extra allocation to reward Sarawak in addition to a handsome some of RM$4 billion already given.
In Lubok Antu a generous sum of RM$80 milllion was announced to uplift the constituency in a by-election.
All these money – is it real or mere “cakap kosong”. The reason is simple, we live in Sarawak but we never see any development which such money can bring into Sarawak. Are we Sarawakian being fooled?
What are the purpose of the visits to Sarawak?
Do you believe that the visit to Sarawak is because Federal Government care for Sarawak? I think Federal Government knows that Opposition is getting stronger in Sarawak and better organize. This mean that BN Sarawak may lost more State seat and this can affect their Parliamentary election performance to come. Any seat lost to Opposition would have a big impact on the BN ability to hold on to the Federal government.
Is the FederalGovernment worried about their seat position in Malaya? Yes. They should be because Pakatan Rakyat are much stronger now then before after heading 4 States after BN force the court to decide in favor of BN in Perak. It is a fact that BN will fail badly in Perak coming election as the people has been robbed of their government by BN.
Is this visit benefiting Sarawak?
Yes. This visit bring new development allocation to Sarawak but it is also a time bomb for BN.
Why is that so?
If BN failed to deliver on the promises or BN State Government practices are highly corrupted such development projects will not be delivered accordingly. This will anger the people. As it is, the Sarawak people trust in the government is eroding by day because it fails to deliver its promises in Lubok Antu.
On top of that, the MACC announcement that 60% of allocation for Sarawak development went astray in in Sarawak indicate that something is really wrong in Sarawak.
Today – with all these announcement we Sarawakian do not see any major development in Sarawak.
Where has the money gone to?
Indeed may be this allocation announcement is to fool the people of Sarawak. No detail has been given and those declaration that 95% of Sarawak would have electricity by 2012 in not achievable. As Sarawakian we know the physical layout of Sarawak. Today even villages near to town are given electricity after 47 years. My longhouse is not even 3 km from Sebauh town – we do not have treated clean water. It is the same with electricity- the longhouses are without electricity despite the proximty to town.
In Jepak – a constituency in Bintulu, we can see that Kampong Jepak has electricity (across Bintulu town) and then the line is pull through 40km to Kuala Tatau Malay kampong by-passing countless Dayak long houses, why is it then the Dayak long houses are not provided with electricity while the Malay kampong are given. Do we see the siniter of the racialist government approach?

We such signage throughout Sarawak. In Dayak areas the road marked naik taraf is narrow and in poor gravel condition. In Malay areas things could be slightly better, but bottom line most condition are the same. Where has the money gone to?
Local people say that contractors are mostly link to the local YBs. They came and do small work but they put their full claim to the government. Is there corruption here? Yes. How?
The contractors will submit claim to District Office and the District office has share in this claim. The local YBs may have share and may not have share in the cheating but that maybe is the best way for YB to give business to their supporters. It still end up using “cheat” and “corruption” that received blessing by the leadership.
What is the role of Sarawak political leaders?
Sarawak leaders CANNOT think for themselves what is good for Sarawak. The development decision is done in Malaya and the YBs job is to announce te project even without understanding what it takes or needed to implement the project. It is a case of the blind YB leading the blind rakyat. Is it so?
The rakyat cannot be taken as a fool everytime. They may want to see change. How can they affect the change. They can make the change by not voting for BN for lying on their promises and also for taking away money that is meant todevelop the people.
Do you trust the BN government?
We start with thinking – all the big project and money is taken by Chief Minister link companies. What is left for the small businessmen? Just small crumbs left over.
What about the rakyat? The rakyat is resilient. They can look after themselves but their development is very small. The rich get richer the poor gets poorer. Many people in power take rakyat money into their hand through corruption but nothing is done to them. Why?
Such agency as MACC / Police are under the control of government. If tese department operates strictly to the rules that is given to them and they operate without fear or favor then this country would be a better place tolive in.
Government department are fast to take action on the poor and stop taking action against the rich. That is call abused of power and the country will slowly get rotten because our government and the civil service heldon to rotton principles and practices. At the end of the day, we all suffer as a country.

That is the reason why we are here. We want to participate in the process of development in our country. We will continue to stand on facts and truth. If the government is not happy about our work that is understandable because no one else dare to tel them into their face.If that is politics so be it.
Do you want to change the position we are in now? Yes. Then we must act. We must do our small bit to get support for the change that we want. We must make sure that the Federal Minister visit is to bring progress but not additionallies to those that are being told to us by BN Sarawak.
Change WE Must – by not voting BN candidate in the coming State election.

How nice it is if he announces giving a million ringgit additional to complete the Rumah Dayak at Jalan Satok. Why does he only bother to be good to the Bidayuh? What prawn behind the stone he does that unfair treatment to the main body of the dayak association?
Hope one day he’ll not go back to Malaya empty handed without supporting the SDNU.

Why only give grant to DBNA and not SDNU? Good question. Spot the difference between these two organization. I think we all know the answer, don’t we? I do not wish to comment further than that.

The federal ministers are trying to win the hearts of Sarawakian knowing very well that they are losing support by their own people in Semananjung. The results of 2008 general election proved this. Sabah and Sarawak provided them with 60 MP`s seats, and without these seats from the two states, Najib and his comrades are losing powers.

If we play the game with simple rule, then there will no challenge from the both team. We can easily outwits and outrun our opponents….
We know their tactics, pretty simple…even the blind can see and the Dumb can hear and the down-syndrome can understand without fear or favour.

The Dayaks especially the Ibans are much like “guinea pig” in BN’s lab as far as the practice of “rationing” the so-called economic development is concerned.

They come here and being display with the best actors in the Sarawak. He visit the best iban longhouse in Sarawak, equip with 24 hours electricity, clean water supply and a very nice tar sealed road direct to their door step. A fully brick wall and complete with a tiles finishing on the wall. This is how Rh Juliana at Kamidan Jaya, Saratok looks like. Why don’t he went to some longhouse at Kapit, where they are still dependent on diesel power generator for just 6 hours only, muddy gravity water supply, and only reachable by longboat or speedboat only.
So who is suggest Najib coming to Visit Rh Juliana?
