   Orang bisi duit nya manah,orang nadai duit ketebal agi bansa kitai Iban laban nadai duit nya jai magang!

   Munyi ko aku ngelamatu,laban kitai Iban enda nemu bida,tauke takah orang kaya enggau orang miskin,kitai Iban nya baka orang ti di sengabong mata tesat di babas enda nemu ULU enda nemu ILI.

   Tu mesti di ubah,ukai senang-dulu kitai mesti malik kebelakang nyimpul pengawa ke udah nyadi ari pun ngelamatu kitai Dayak udah medeka,lalu berati ke nama pekara ke udah salah di gaga dulu suba,ngambi ka kitai udahnya ulih ngator ngaga karta,ngiga serta ngaga jalai kena kitai mansang ke moa.

   Di menoa kitai di Sarawak ketebal agi kitai Iban diau di menoa pesisir di menoa jauh ari negeri,agi bedau mereti ke penanggul kesebaka diasai kesemua kitai Iban tiap hari(collective everyday hadrships),nya tau di gaga nyadi ke pengempong tauke politik berakup semua kitai ‘tai nyumboh tai badak’(Dayak Seranta’s description of the common downtrodden masses).Bala ‘tai nyumboh tai badak’ mesti kering berani ati besatu berakup ngiga,ngaga perintah ti enda beciping enggau enda takut ngambi ke kuasa orang politik ti kaya serta korrupt ke bekuasa megai perintah tau majak kurang lalu punas udahnya.

   Nya alai kitai maioh ketebal agi bansa Dayak bansa Iban ‘tai nyumboh tai badak’ mesti nemu enggau betul terang bida tauke takah,tingkah antara orang kaya enggau orang miskin,nya ke FORMULA nombor satu mesti temu di guna kitai ‘tai nyumboh tai badak’ nulong munas ke penanggul BADAK ti bingking lalu beciping-’mit kelikit besai kelikai’

   Aram Angkat-’Tai nyumboh,angkat tai badak’,aram angkat Penetak manok,penyadong lauk! Indu lelaki tuai biak aram angkat ngubah pendiau kitai ngagai kejauh tinggi ari keudah-udah!

   Pama kitai diberi orang duit personal gift tau ke BR1M reti nya pengidup kitai bedau berubah sekumbang BN merintah. Duit tetap duit…..sepuluh sen pan tetap bisi value iya empu. Orang meri nadai salah tua nerima kelebih agi br1m500 ari perintah- tu duit kitai empu…duit cukai ari brg ke dibeli kitai. Tiap iti gari, pemakai ngau utai ke diguna ba kedai bisi cukai.

   Nama kebuah Malaysia semina meri duit 500 taun tu aja, enda meri ba taun ke udah ngau taun ke ka datai? Kini ke penunga duit nya maia perintah BN enda meri kitai? Before this, were that money only distributed among the BN leaders/ politicians?

   Ke bendar rakyat deserve to get that money annually if govt is sincere helping the rakyat esp the poor (gaji baruh ari 3K sebulan). Reti nya ngelama tu duit 500 nya diempa sida BN aja. Keni sida tau kaya nyadi millionaire makai gaji 4-5K nyadi wakil rakyat?

   Rakyat patut nanya nama kebuah perintah BN ngempu ungkup sida sekumbang ke merdeka? Rakyat patut minta bayar duit rm500 backdated ari taun 1963. Rakyat patut ngukum perintah BN laban udah makai duit rakyat sekumbang ke Merdeka. Ukum iya, rakyat mesti muai perintah BN laban udah ENCURI duit ungkup sida sekumbang ke merdeka.

   Perintah BN ukai semina makai duit ungkup rakyat tang berutang rm450 billion kena ngaya ke sida ngau kaban belayan BN. Dini sida bulih duit meli rumah harga berjuta, kereta mewah, nganjung anak sekula overseas, meli marik ke bini berjuta, sekali raun ratus ribu enti enda makai duit cukai rakyat?

   Kumbai bula perintah BN makai duit ungkup rakyat, uji baca berita ari Borneo post ari YB Chong, madah ke menua bukai bisi meri duit bantu tiap taun ngagai rakyat ukai sekali seumur idup.

   Sigi amat manah meh Dtk T meri kitai duit ringgit, nulung kitai lebuh bisi penusah rabat tauka penusah bukai laban nya sigi tanggung pengawa semua sida wakil rakyat. Nya endang duit kerajaan dikena nulung kitai ukai duit iya empu.

   Tang kitai dayak mega patut merening sereta meda bakani bida iya megai bansa kitai enggau megai bansa iya empu. Kati iya bedua sama rata ungkup kitai enggau ungkup sida? Tiap taun perintah bisi ngadaka ungkup duit dikena ngemajuka pelilih menua dipegai iya, kati baka pemansang ba menua kitai sebaka pemansang enggau menua sida? Kitai ke dipegai iya meh ulih nemu ngasaika pengidup diri empu dibanding enggau pengidup orang bukai.

   Kati iya enggau bendar nyukung nganjung anak kitai belajar ke menua tasik, nyukung kitai ba pengawa dagang, ngungkupka sereta ngemansangka kitai nyadi orang betanam betupi ti kaya ngena skim bantuan penuh kerajaan baka ba negeri bukai di Malaysia? Kala iya mai kitai Dayak ngempu lesense “0″. Iya meri kitai duit baka ti ngerungi manuk, tang iya tetap enda ngasuh kitai kaya baka iya – amat tauka enda? Enti iya beamat amat mentas badas enggau bansa kitai dah mayuh kitai dayak kaya raja baka bansa iya. Dah mayuh pemansang ba menua kitai ti nguntungka bansa kitai disediaka iya, tang semua nya semina bisi ba endur bansa sida empu. Bisi iya kala ngatur pengawa ngaga station nyual minyak ke bansa kitai – nya ulih digaga iya laban kitai Dayak bisi tanah- nama salah iya rekomen Petronas ngaga ke siti dua ba sekeda genturung pendiau kitai dayak awaknya duit untungnya nyadika fund dagang kitai Dayak.

   Sida nadai mehnya asal orang kaya magang tang sida nemu ngambi atas pengelemi kitai Dayak. Sida sanggup nulung sama diri.

   Ngelamatu kitai dah nyukung iya tang diatu kitai patut berunding panjai, nyangka tau ngubah nasit kitai ngagai pengidup ke lebih manah.

   Duit HARAM JADAM Taib Nipu rayat, makai duit rayat. Duit ia patut dirampas lalu diberi pulai ngagai rayat menoa Sarawak.

   Politik yg kotor tidak bermaruah. BN merasuah rayat dengan RM500 untuk beli undi. Kerajaan yang rasuah akan MUSNAH kerana SUMPAH.

   Berubah meh takut kitai kena SUMPAHAN laban agi nyukong kerajaan NIPU. Enti kitai agi nyukong prentah NIPU retinya kitai agi ngemendar ka pengawa ia NIPU kitai.

   Moral of my posting is …..
   Enti kitai agi nyukong PENIPU anang nyalah ka urang hukai, nyalah ka diri empu dulu.

   Enti kitai maya dulu suba apai kitai madah ka meli ka kitai hadiah enti bulih result peresa manah, gaga endar ati lebuh janji nya ditunai ka.

   Tapi enti orang madah ka ka meri hadiah nya hadiah tu tapi bulih kitai result peresa manah, nadai ga bulih utai, nya janji kosong, nadai guna.

    Bala Kaban Dayakbaru,

    Ba penemu aku, barang sapa nyadi ketuai megai perintah sigi patut meri bantu duit ngagai semua rakyat ke suntuk, kurang penatai pemisi, miskin, dah tuai (enda dapat gawa/nadai penatai pemisi) enti ulih ninting bulan. Endang sigi tanggung pengawa orang ke megai kuasa nyaga ngemata sereta mantu penusah rakyat utai betuju deka nyuap rakyat ba maya bepilih aja. Bakani chara bakani gaya perintah bulih duit dikena nulung rakyat nya tepulai ngagai sida empu. Nerima tulung perintah ba mata duit nadai pulai ke penyalah sereta nyadi dosa ba runding aku.

    Orang ke enda perluka tulung perintah anang mega minta sereta nerima enggaika pulaika dosa sida empu. Sida mega patut nulung perintah mantu orang ke tusah ke beserimbai pendiau enggau sida. Anang ensepi diri kaya raja ngutuk, ngelese sereta ketawaka orang ke merinsa nya tau ngujungka pechah belah dalam perambu deka ngemansangka bansa, ngemansangka menua kitai empu. Bakani kati pan kitai ngutuk BN ba blog tu, majoriti pengundi BN tetap enda berubah laban sida enda ninga sereta enda meda.     Ukai semina sida aja, bala ke bekereja ba perintah pan nadai berani nyakal penemu perintah ti salah, ( Bonus RM500.00 pan diterima enggau pengambis pengaga hati. Kaya raja mayuh reta ” Maya bepilih tu aja kitai meda sida iya datai, nama utai diberika kitai, maya agi bekereja perintah, bisi pangkat besai enda kala nyenguk, sumbung, anangke ka nulung diri sekaban minta kereja, nanya kitai mega enggai. Bini anak pala penyumbung jauh sekali mai ngirup kupi. Manah agi ngundi orang ke selalu nulung kitai taja pan enda tinggi pemandai.     Endang sigi amat unggal DrJBA, duit MRP duit mrp 49 taun ke udah…, chunto terang BR1M….semina ulih nampung SEPUT sida ke merinsa nadai penatai sari-dua.., polisi NUPI ikan makai, polisi meri engkani manok makai, polisi meri babi makai…..enda lebih ari nya.

    Let’s not forget also how PRS self-contradict itself on money politics.

    On one day PRS said they oppose Money Politics, but on other day PRS said that Money Politics is OK nothing wrong!

    So far for BN Money Politics works well especially in feeding some of the biggest frog in Dayak politics!

    PRS files election petition over Pelagus seat
    “very good reason to believe that money politics was involved there in the state election”

    SIBU: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) has filed an election petition to nulify the result of the contest for the Pelagus seat in the April 16 state election.PRS Pelagus division chief Philimon Nuing accompanied by party Information chief Wilson Nyabong and lawyer Sim Hoi Chuan filed the petition at the Sibu High Court today.

    According to Nyabong, who is the Pelagus seat director of operations, the party had “very good reason to believe that money politics was involved there in the state election”.

    The petition was filed before senior assistant registrar Suhailla Selag.

    In the election, PRS/BN candidate Stanley Nyitar @ Unja ak Malang was involved in a three-cornered fight with Edward Sumbang of Parti Keadilan Rakyat and George Lagong who stood as an independent.

    George won the election with a 2,837-vote majority.

    He garnered 5,740 votes against 2,903 obtained by Stanley and the 1,171 obtained by Edward.

    The voter turnout was 9,986. This is the first petition filed after the election. – Bernama

    BN-PRS rep: We don’t pay, they won’t vote

    Payments to voters cannot be considered vote-buying because it was for their transportation, says a BN MP in Sarawak.

    Tamin BN assemblyperson Joseph Mauh Ikeh has vehemently shot down any allegation of vote-buying during the Sarawak state polls.

    He clarified that the payments to voters was ‘transport allowance’ otherwise they would not come out to vote.

    Besides the transport allowance, some of the voters were paid for campaign work like putting up posters, according to the Parti Rakyat Sarawak vice-president.

    “This is normal. It is not vote-buying. We paid the voters for them to buy petrol because they came to vote at their own expense, or else they would not have come out to vote,” he told Malaysiakini when contacted today.

    “If no money was paid, nobody would come to vote, then who is going to be elected as YB (assemblyperson)?” he asked.

    His statement was in response to the polls watchdog Malaysian Election Observation Network’s (MEO-Net) allegation yesterday that some Tamin voters were paid RM50 on April 14, two days before the polling day.

    ‘Everybody is doing it’ argument

    MEO-Net had released a short video recording showing stacks of cash purportedly being distributed to voters at the Rumah Unban Anak Endu longhouse located at Tenting Terentang in Nanga Selangau.

    The three-term MP and two-term state assemblyperson claimed that the opposition was doing the same to get the electorate to vote.

    “Eveybody did that, the opposition also did that. We also have proof of the other side (opposition). They gave RM10, RM20 and even RM100 to the voters.

    “Both opposition and BN paid the voters throughout Sarawak in all 71 constituencies, he added.

    Joseph Mauh also stressed that the law allows each candidate to spend up to RM100,000 in an election.

    “We paid them but they still had the freedom to vote. That’s why over 3,000 had voted for the opposition.

    “This is not vote-buying, please, this is just something like saguhati (consolation),” he said.

    Joseph Mauh retained the Iban-majority seat with 4,998 votes, a 1,292-majority over PKR’s Mengga Mikui who bagged 3,706 votes.

    MEO-Net has been furnishing evidence of alleged vote-buying, intimidation and abuses of government resources during the 10-day Sarawak election campaign period.

    The watchdog claimed money politics was so rampant that were all allegations investigated extensively, they are likely to nullify the state election results.

    According to MEO-Net, giving money to voters is an offence under section 10(a) of the Election Offences Act 1954.

    Opposition STAR YB Jerip has applied to join BN SUPP – Yap

    KUCHING – The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Publicity and Information Secretary Alfred Yap Chin Loi today confirmed that State Reform Party (STAR) ex-deputy secretary general Dr Jerip Susil had applied to join SUPP.

    “Whether he is to be accepted into the party depends on SUPP’s decision,” he said after officiating at the health screening exercise organised by the Kuching Batu Kawa Road Community Association this morning.

    Pointing out that Dr Susil sent in his application last week, Yap was however unable to comment on the status of Dr Susil’s application. “It has not been announced yet… the president (Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr George Chan) will announce it later,” he said.

    On the speculation that Dr Susil would replace incumbent William Tanyuh as the SUPP candidate for Bengoh, he said that would first depend on whether Dr Susil was to be accepted into SUPP.

    “Even if he was accepted into SUPP, his standing as a candidate for the party would have to be the decision of the Barisan Nasional (BN) government,” he added.

    Yap, who is also the Planning and Resource Management Assistant Minister, noted that the candidate for Bengoh had not yet been finalised but declined to provide further details.

    Dr Chan had on Friday declined to name the new candidate for Bengoh when announcing that SUPP, the second largest component of the State BN, had confirmed that its candidacies would have at least five new faces including Tanjung Datu, Padugan, Meradong and Bukit Assek.

    Taib: Wong Judat’s SPDP inclusion a unique case

    KUCHING: State Barisan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud has described the admission of independent Meluan assemblyman Wong Judat into the coalition through the Sarawak Progressive Democratic Party (SPDP) as a unique decision.

    “He is quite lucky to have been admitted as his entry into the SPDP is before the admission of the party into the Barisan Nasional,” he said.

    SPDP, headed by state Environment and Public Health Minister Datuk William Mawan Ikom, replaced deregistered Sarawak National Party (SNAP) in the coalition.

    Taib, who is the Chief Minister, was asked to comment on Judat’s acceptance as a SPDP member after he received a cheque for RM25,000 from Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Bhd at his office in Menara Pelita here yesterday.

    The money given out under Skim Takaful Pelajar Sekolah Malaysia was to the families of the five schoolchildren of SK Iban Union in Ulu Balingian, Mukah Division, who died in a hostel fire recently.

    Taib said he would have objected to Judat’s admission into any other component party because that would be like taking away the seat quota of another Barisan partner.

    Judat resigned from Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) and contested against SNAP-nominated Barisan candidate Geman Itam in the last state polls, and won.

    Taib said he was pleased that former SNAP senior vice-president and Limbang assemblyman Richard Wong Shoon Fook had joined the SPDP, and hoped that more ex-SNAP members would follow suit.

    On the retirement of the last SNAP president Datuk Amar James Wong Kim Min, 81, from politics, Taib said Wong deserved the respect of the people as the longest serving member of the state assembly.

    The SPDP now has seven assemblymen in the 62-seat state legislature.

    The state coalition’s backbone, Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Persatu (PBB), has 30 assemblymen, Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) 16 and Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) eight.

    DAP assemblyman for Kidurong Chiew Chu Sing is now the only opposition member.

    Mawan said the two “Wongs” would be eligible to contest for the post of vice-president in the party’s inaugural general assembly here on Feb 8 and 9.

    Consensus has been reached that there will be no contest for the posts of president and deputy president and two senior vice-presidents.

    Former SNAP And Independent YB Dr Rayong accepted into BN fold

    KUCHING: Engkilili assemblyman Dr Johnical Rayong Ngipa is now officially a BN man, after more than four years as an independent.

    Yesterday, he attended his first BN pre-Council meeting, which is usually held a day before the State Legislative Assembly sitting, at the PBB headquarters here.

    Dr Rayong has been knocking on BN’s door after he won Engkilili in 2006.

    Reached for his comments, Dr Rayong said he was very happy to finally become a BN backbencher.

    “The Chief Minister (Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud) declared that I am a BN member during the meeting… now that I am accepted into the BN, I can do my work smoothly as people will no longer have doubts over my position,” he said.

    Dr Rayong added that his application to join SUPP was approved by the party’s Central Working Committee (CWC) last Sept 20.

    “From my understanding, there were no objections against me to join SUPP,” he said.

    Dr Rayong was formerly the pro tem deputy president of the proposed Malaysian Dayak Congress (MDC) which had its application turned down by the Registrar of Societies.

    In 2006, he stood under the Sarawak National Party (SNAP) ticket and he defeated Jonathan Krai Pilo (BN-SUPP) by a slim 426-vote majority in a straight fight.

    After his win, he declared his intention to join the BN and was often seen mingling around with BN leaders. He was also accorded privileges such as presenting minor rural project (MRP) grants in his constituency.

    He had previously submitted his membership application to join SUPP but the move was opposed by several SUPP leaders in Engkilili, including former assemblyman Toh Heng San who represented the area from 1991 to 2006.

    Suggestions then started to surface over possible seat-swapping arrangement with other BN component parties to resolve the problem, but this was also opposed by SUPP leaders in Engkilili.

    Last Oct 17, Utusan Borneo reported that Dr Rayong’s SUPP membership application had been accepted and approved.

    It quoted SUPP Engkilili secretary Nyambong Maweng as saying that he had received a letter from SUPP headquarters to inform the branch of Dr Rayong’s membership status.

    Nyambong claimed that the letter also mentioned that Dr Rayong is the best candidate for BN and SUPP in Engkilili for the state election which is due in nine months time.

    Stop robbing oil from the states
    How do you ‘give’ the oil producing states oil royalty for something that already belongs to them in the first place?

    Give or take, give and take, they are both four letter words, just as Umno is (pun intended). Nevertheless, we can expect Umno to be confused about when to use the word “give” and when to use “take”. However, Pakatan Rakyat too?

    As Julius Caesar said, “Et tu Brute?”

    I am talking about the 5% oil royalty “given” to Sabah and Sarawak (and, of course, to Terengganu, as well as to all the other states as well: in the event that they too have oil and gas).

    Yes, both Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat are currently discussing how much royalty should be “given” to those states that have oil and gas.

    How do you “give” them something that already belongs to them in the first place? Should not the word we use be “take”? We should instead be discussing how much we should “take” from them, not how much we should “give” them.

    Let me explain the history of this entire thing.

    The oil and gas already belongs to the states. This is what the Malaysia Agreement and the earlier Federation Agreement was all about. And, in that agreement, it was agreed that all natural resources would be the property of the states.

    No doubt, some things such as defence, security, foreign policy, etc., were federalised. But religion and natural resources are supposed to be the prerogative and property of the states.

    Water, timber, land, sand, minerals, etc., all belong to the states. As do oil and gas. These are what we call natural resources. Hence they belong 100% to the states, not 5% or 20% or 50% or whatever.

    Now, Umno is, of course, misleading us. They are talking as if all natural resources, except oil and gas, belong to the states and that oil and gas belong to the federal government. That is not true. And to suggest otherwise is a violation of the Malaysia Agreement.

    And I would expect better from the opposition. Why is the opposition sounding like Barisan Nasional and talking about how much oil royalty to “give” to the states?

    Discovery of oil

    Oil was first rumoured to have been discovered in Terengganu even before 1972, during the time that Nik Hassan Wan Abdul Rahman was the Menteri Besar of Terengganu and Tun Abdul Razak Hussein the Prime Minister of Malaysia. And I said rumoured because the discovery of oil was never officially announced but was something that was being whispered in the corridors of power.

    Why the hush-hush? Well, because the government had to first sort out some “loose ends” before announcing the discovery of oil.

    So they did not want anyone to know about it until the federal government could ensure that the oil was “transferred” to the federal government. If not, 100% of the oil revenue would go to the state of Terengganu.

    In the meantime, they secretly sold the oil to foreign buyers. The oil was transferred from the oil rigs to the ships in the middle of the sea and was exported. Only some people knew about it, the Petronas officers being some of those people.

    Lim Kit Siang came to find out about this secret arrangement and there was a hue and cry when he revealed that the oil was being stolen from Terengganu. It seems a Deep Throat in Petronas had told him about it. Exxon, in collaboration with Petronas, were fingered as the chief conspirators.

    A crisis was about to explode. There were rumours that all the documents in the Exxon office in Kuala Lumpur suddenly disappeared and reappeared in Singapore the following day.

    Then, suddenly, the whole thing mysteriously died down and nothing more was said about the matter. No denial or rebuttal was ever issued.

    Soon after that, the Menteri Besar went into conflict with the Sultan and was forced to resign. He was also exiled from Terengganu and was not allowed to ever set foot on Terengganu soil again as long as the Sultan was still alive. He never returned to Terengganu until the Sultan died.

    The tense moment in that entire episode was when the Sultan’s brother stormed the Menteri Besar’s office and pointed a gun at the Menteri Besar’s head. The Sultan’s brother too was exiled to Pahang and only returned to Terengganu to attend the Sultan’s funeral.

    The BN oil plan

    Meanwhile, Tun Razak came out with a plan on how to bring PAS into the federal government. PAS had to be neutralised if the federal government wanted to grab Terengganu’s oil.

    The idea to form Barisan Nasional was mooted and all the opposition parties such as PAS, PPP, Gerakan, etc., were invited to join Barisan Nasional.

    In 1973, BN was launched and PAS became part of the federal government. In 1974, the new ruling coalition in Parliament (where all the opposition parties except DAP were now members of) passed the Petroleum Development Act and the oil and gas were transferred from the states to the federal government, meaning Petronas.

    To keep the states quiet, they were given 5% as a token “oil royalty”.

    This was like the whites taking away the Native American lands (then called Red Indians) by giving them worthless beads as payment.

    Now, if the federal government had power over oil and gas, why the need to pass the Petroleum Development Act in Parliament? Just take it! But they couldn’t just take it. Oil and gas are the property of the states. So they needed to pass an Act of Parliament to legalise the illegal takeover of state property.

    There was, of course, some resistance to this move, in particular from Sabah. But all resistance was silenced when the dissenters died in a mysterious plane crash that has never been properly explained until today.

    Pakatan should stop talking about how much oil royalty to “give” the states and whether it should be increased from the current 5% to 20% or 50% or whatever. That is BN type of talk.

    Correcting the injustice

    The federal government is actually taking what belongs to the states. Therefore, you should be talking about how much you should take: whether 95% like now, or whether you reduce what you take down to 80% or 50%.

    If we go by the spirit of the Federation Agreement, then you should take nothing. You should return 100% to the states. The most you can do is to levy a tax, like the timber export tax, palm oil tax, etc. That is all the federal government can earn. Even if the tax is 35% or 45%, never mind. But it has to be tax on the profit of the sales or a form of export tax or sales tax, whether you make a profit on the sale or not.

    We always talk about Rule of Law and not Rule by Law. The Petroleum Development Act is a classic example of Rule by Law. They passed a law to legalise something illegal: meaning, nationalising state property.

    We must now correct this injustice and call a spade a spade. The federal government has been robbing the states of their oil for the last 40 years and has been giving them a mere 5% of the proceeds when it should be 100%. That is the reality of the situation.

    Lim Kit Siang of DAP knows about this. He was the one who revealed what was going on even before most people knew that oil was being extracted from Terengganu.

    And Tun Salleh Abas of PAS also knows about this. He was the “architect” who drafted the Petroleum Development Act.

    So no more talk about how much to give the states. We must now talk about what we are taking from the states.

    Kuching applicants to receive BR1M notices by post
    Borneo Post, January 27, 2012, Friday

    KUCHING: Successful Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M) applicants from the Kuching Division will receive their notifications by post soon.

    The one-off RM500 aid will be distributed at various locations based on the parliamentary areas of Bandar Kuching (Pending and Padungan), Stampin (Batu Kawa, Batu Lintang and Kota Sentosa), Petra Jaya (Samariang, Satok and Tupong), Santubong (Demak Laut, Pantai Damai and Tanjung Datu) and Mas Gading (Opar and Tasik Biru).

    For Pending, distribution will be on Jan 31 from 3pm to 6pm at the civic centre; Padungan on Feb 1 from 9am to 2pm at the civic centre; Batu Kawa on Jan 30 from 9am to 2pm at the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) headquarters; Batu Lintang on Jan 31 from 9am to 2pm at SUPP headquarters; Kota Sentosa on Feb 1 from 9am to 2pm at SUPP headquarters; Samariang on Jan 28 from 8am to 3pm at Dewan Hikmah and from 7pm to 11pm at Tapak Medan Sukma Ria; and Satok on Jan 28 from 2pm to 6pm at Dewan Merpati Jepang.

    As for Tupong, distribution will be on Jan 29 from 8am to 1pm at Dewan Kpg Tupong Tengah and from 2pm to 6pm at Dewan Kpg Pinang Jawa as well as Dewan Taman Malihah; and again from 7pm to 10.30pm at Dewan SUPP Matang.

    For Demak Laut distribution will be on Feb 2 from 9am to 2pm at Dewan PBB (Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu) Jalan Demak; Pantai Damai on Feb 6 from 9am to 2pm at the former State Legislative Assembly hall; and Tanjung Datu on Feb 7 from 9am to 2pm at Dewan Masyarakat Lundu.

    Last week, the Kuching Resident’s Office announced that 42,209 BR1M applicants had been approved for the parliamentary areas of Bandar Kuching, Stampin, Petra Jaya, Santubong and Mas Gading.

    A total of 9,637 recipients have been notified by post, while another 32,572 are in the sorting process.

    Kuching Resident Abdul Rahman Sebli Senusi recently said he hoped the recipients who have been notified will receive their notifications in time for them to attend the distribution ceremonies, which will be held from Jan 28 until Feb 7.

    To check the status of BR1M applications, call the Resident’s Office hotline on 082-246991 or 082-244434 during office hours, or alternatively call the Finance Ministry hotline on 1-800-222-500 or 1-300-88-3010.

    Meanwhile, a Kuching Resident’s Office spokesperson said yesterday that there is still time to apply for the BR1M aid because the application period has been extended to Feb 10 from the initial Jan 10 deadline.

    Forms are available from Inland Revenue Board offices.
